Are Constraction figures LEGO or not?

This is a debate that many people get into. I personally think
they are in between LEGO (bricks) and action figures. A mix of
       both :P
What is your opinion about constraction figures being LEGO or
       not? ;)

When people say they don't think it is I always think: "Special
LEGO" I really don't know what to say. :P

Sort of. Special LEGO kind of makes sense, but they are similar
       to action figures :P

They are technically part of the LEGO system, but they don't use
the LEGO brick system of sticking together. I would classify
them as LEGO pieces, but in a separate category.

I can see what you mean. All the same, they aren't really LEGO
       in the sense of 'bricks'.
