This is the 2nd time its gone downhill, first time you had
people like Th3 Soldier, WildDog9, Patrick, etc. leave. (I doubt
anyone here knows who im talking about, but they were the true
legends of the Forums, always posted worthwhile comments and
could destroy you verbally.) Sad times, but all those guys have
moved on from what i gather. Maybe its a hint to what we should
be prepared for... Its a shame sure, a surprise? Not in the
slightest. Life changing? Nope. Those of you who i feel I'd
still like to speak to il do it on here and the anyone I don't
like i just wont acknowledge you.
Maybe this is a cynical outlook, but like i said. Cast your mind
back and try and think how many of the originals ('05) members
have been using those forums the past 2 years. Its not many and
maybe there is a reason for that.

I remember them LBD , we have lost a great deal of good members
of the forum over the years. It's sad really because we kinda
become a little family

Honestly i feel like it's bull shit. It was one of the best
places around . So many memories and events happened met so many
people over the years. I just wish it was the same maybe it was
simple but that was good about it and it was like my home on the
net.

Apologies then, i couldnt remember how long you'd been there-
you can also be regarded as True Legends of the forum then :D
You know what i mean tho, you guys post worthwhile stuff, not
just random shit. Which is why, i think, those members left to
start with. I guess we're all originals on here then :)

Hey all, first post on here other than in the introductions. I
have to agree with everyone. I joined that forum in November of
2006 and posted a ton. I was on there a lot and it was a
generally great forum and I actually felt, at one time anyway,
that I was something of a pillar of the forum, for lack of a
better way to phrase it. It felt like a community and a fun
place for quite a while, but it started going downhill and in
the past year I've posted maybe 3 times and even then, after I
did I kinda felt like I shouldn't have bothered. There's been
an influx of people who are either immature, hateful,
mean-spirited, entitled, or know-it-alls, or sometimes all of
the above. Combine that with V-Sing over-moderating, and the
general dislike I've developed for how Volition does things in
general, and I've lost my taste for that forum.
The state of that place and Volition in general is actually
pretty depressing.

I joined the SR forums under the username "MelMel" about 2 years
ago now, I'd say just after Saints Row 2 was released and just a
month or two before the first DLC pack for SR2 was released.
The forums were thriving and it was at a good balanced level for
me, trolls were funny and witty and there was only about 3-4 of
them and they were usually nice as long as you didn't say
anything stupid!
Eventually the forums died out and there was only a few members
left, the thing is...I liked this phase, it really felt like a
close-knit community it was like our own little virtual family.
So I'd visit the SR forums all the time during this
phase...Eventually SR3 was revealed and the forums went under a
make-over so, I tried to log in as usual...But I couldn't, I
just couldn't, I tried everything, even doing what V-Sigular
(forum moderator) told me to do.
Still nothing, so after a few weeks or so, I ask V-Sig if it's
ok for me to create a new account under the name of "Miharu" but
it didn't feel the same. I felt believe it or not,
weak...Blank...Just bare, all my 1000s of posts had gone because
of the fact it was a new and different account.
This would be one of the reasons why I find the SR forums
mundane, obviously I didn't go on as much as I used to because:
- My laptop charger died (but now everything's working!)
- Obviously it wasn't as fun, I wanted to be MelMel not Miharu
So this month, I logged in as usual I saw alot of the people I
know from the forums were leaving, so I did my research and the
thing is I could tell why, I didn't see any troll activity but
the forum makeover for me was appalling...Big bulky menus that
followed as you scrolled up and down.
And then I heard about "Ayngel's forum" and I was like: "what?"
"what forum?" So thanks to the link, I'm here now, under my old
name and it actually feels right. It feels like the old days.
:)
