You actually have to make your uploaded character available for
public first in order to add it to your queue and be able to
download it to your game. After that you can make it unavailable
again for public. But keep in mind as long as you don't have it
available for public you can't add it to your queue, which means
you can't download and play with your character. Just wanted to
mention this.

Lol well its nearly the 16th I just hope Amazon dispatch
tomorrow or late tonight i'd like to get my copy ASAP. Been
waiting since March for this game.
