Fallout: Fight for the Mojave

When the Legion took control of Hoover Dam and several other NCR
bases along the the Colorado it took Caesar and his Legion no
more than two weeks to invade and secure the Strip and it's
surrounding area and then conquer the most of the Mojave. The
Legion ruthlessly integrated the Great Khans, the White Legs,
Omertas, and the White Glove Society while Exterminating the
Super Mutants of Black Mountain, the Fiends who survived the
assault on McCarren, The Kings when they tried to resist the
Legion invasion, the Powder Gangers, the Town of Primm, and the
Van Graffs.
Though some did survive: The King and a few of his men, Novas
was evacuated and Some Powder Gangers fled into the Wastes. On
top of that, Caesar gave a few peculiar orders: The Followers of
the Apocalypse were escorted out of the Mojave Wasteland, Good
Springs, Jacobs Town and the Boomers were all left alone.
The NCR suffered greatly at Hoover Dam and during the retreat,
most of the Rangers were killed at the Dam, the Misfits a group
personally trained by the Courier died defending Camp Golf, the
NCR army retreated to the Mojave Outpost but many NCR soldiers
and Citizens were left behind, most were crucified within the
remains were enslaved. The NCR heavily reinforced the Mojave
Outpost and the surrounding area while moving into an old fort
up the road from the Outpost and using that as a base of
operations. Between The Mojave Outpost and Command Center,
several Checkpoints were placed to help in defense.
The Courier in honor of his service to the Legion, including the
personal destruction of the Legions most dangerous enemy, the
Brotherhood of Steel, as well as the assassinations of Mr House,
General Oliver, Chief Hanlon and many other Officers of the NCR,
got a coin minted in his honor and received many luxuries. Camp
Golf was cleaned up and he took it as his personal residence,
played Golf on the course, fished in Lake Mead and hunted Death
Claws in the area North of lake Mead and the East of Vault 34
with his Anti Material Rifle. He received 22 slaves and 12
Securitrons as guards for his home.
While the people the Courier once called his friends were
forgotten and left behind if they even survived up until and
through Hoover Dam, Cass was killed by the Van Graffs, Raul
traveled West and took on a new persona, Veronica joined the
Followers of the Apocalypse and escaped with them, finding the
abandoned ED-E along the way, Lily Bowen headed west searching
for he Grand Children, Arcade became the personal doctor of
Caesar, Rex was with the King when he escaped with a new brain,
and Boone, he went on a suicide mission, taking out dozens of
Legionaries, eventually being captured and he spat Tobacco in
the Legates face in front of an entire Cohort and several
Frumantarii.
30 Days since the NCR Defeat at Hoover Dam
General Heston had taken over command as General Oliver was
killed and after abusing and insulting every officer that made
it out of the Mojave, he had Captain Ronald Curtis executed
after discovering he was a spy. Heston formed a new plan,
something that the Legion couldn't handle, because they were
taking or defending a fixed position, nor were they ambushing or
trying to strike fear into the enemy, they would be on the
defensive, any moment could be there last, the Legions own
tactics would be used against them.
General Heston hated Brown Nosing officers, cowards and anybody
that high a high rank for anything but combat experience and
merit, and he only respected Toughness and Combat Merit, he in
fact, got a small tattoo on his right arm for every kill he ever
made, (Even though the only way to do it is a painful tribal
method).

"Captain Jack Maxson?" Lieutenant Walton asked as he walked into
a tent... "Yes Lieutenant?" Maxson said while sitting on his
bunk reading a book... "Sir, you have been requested by General
Heston for an assignment" Lieutenant Walton explained...
"Alright where is he?" Maxson asked... "Control tent Sir" Walton
responded.
Maxson shrugged, grabbed his service rifle and walked out of the
tent and headed straight for the command tank. He walked in and
saluted as General Heston stood up from his seat... "you sent
for me sir?" Maxson asked.
"Indeed I did Captain" Heston said. Maxson just stood there
waiting for Heston to explain what he wanted.
..."If I understand correctly, you have fought in both Battle of
Hoover Dam, as well as against the Vipers, Great Khans and The
Brotherhood of Steel, with over 45 kills" Heston listed... "Yes
sir I was also part of the Platoon that Captain Gilbert got lost
down south about a year ago" Maxson said proudly... "After
Gilbert was killed your platoon lasted for 2 weeks behind enemy
lines with no supplies and almost no ammo" Heston said... "And
still completed our mission" Maxson bragged. Heston grinned...
"Finally an officer with combat experience worth his rank"
Heston said.
..."Look, I got a mission, I'm sending a thirteen man squad into
the Mojave, just to take out officers, rescue our people, scare
the Legion, it's going to be long, drawn out and hard, you'll
receive no support, unless your in range of our shooters at the
Mojave" Heston explained to Maxson... "Do I get to pick at least
some of my squad?" Maxson asked... "Some of them, I need some
certain people for certain positions" Heston explained... "Do I
get anything when our job is done?" Maxson asked.
..."A large pay, a home anywhere you want in NCR territory and
reduced taxes for the rest of your life" Heston offered...
"Deal" Maxson said after a moment of thought... "So who did you
have in mind?" Heston asked Maxson.
..."First who kind of people do you need?" Maxson asked.
..."Snipers, Heavy Gunners, Technicians, Survivalists,
Demolitionists, Trappers, Medics and a specialty position I'll
have to see to myself" Heston explained.
..."Well then: Private Rolland Barnes, Heavy Gunner. Sergeant
Amanda Williams, Medic. John Hayes. Sniper and James Brown,
Demolitionist." Maxson listed 4 NCR soldiers he wanted in his
squad when he took on this mission.
"Alright I'll form the rest of the squad" Heston said. Maxson
nodded, saluted and walked out of the building and headed back
to his tent to grab his gear.

Have so many ideas for this story, except for a good way to
start it, I did my best.
Comment, rate, whatever, every squad member will get a brief
description and a few more things will be explained.

Well, I know what I want to play right now!
Lol at James Brown HEEEEEEYYYY!! Great intro, it sets up for a
lot, I cant wait to see what you have planned for this!!! :D

Cheers WB. I didn't even realize I made his name James Brown,
haha.
Also, in this none of the add ons except for the one in Zion
(Honest Hearts) happened. But some of the weapons are still
gonna be in this story. ,
One more thing, anyone got a better name for this story?

I dont remember that add on :-\
But I guess it kinda depends on the plot of the story, if its a
serious story or what they are fighting for, I'm no good at
story titles, but OG is good at coming up with stuff!

that narration was balls deep! I still play NV often but don't
remember much about the multiple endings, this one is the most
sensible though apart from CL letting anyone leave the mojave
wasteland freely much less escorting them out, would imagined
all the minor factions either converted or became slaves.
is Joshua and Daniels from HH's in this? Josh was coolwhip with
those bandages and excessive collection of guns. The burning man
isn't a legend he is proof of the legions irony in having him
set on fire and kicked off the grand canyon only for the dude to
survive!
IMO, second best DLC in NV

Every faction and companions fate is mentioned and that with the
courier, i would've thought after their services in helping the
legion seize control of hoover the legate would have them killed
or atleast try to take them out, not reward with own private
golf course and personal security bots.
captain Maxson is ncr's final hope in achieving victory better
not fuck things up though cause it's crunch time!
You'll do well with this AB and don't rush it revel in these
ideas of yours and thanks for keeping us updated with the mojave
wasteland.

The Legion didn't let everyone out, apart from a select few,
kost escaped while they had the chance or got very lucky.
The Courier actually killed everyone in the Zion except for the
White Legs, who joined the Legion in the weeks following the
Hoover Dam battle.
I meant to mention that they did escort everyone out. Most
endings are actually what happens in the game, taken from the
Fallout Wikia.

Thanks AB, i really like the story i went back to playing NV
with the multiple companions glitch and started kicking
everyones ass in camp golf but the courier wasn't there.

30 Days since the NCR Defeat at Hoover Dam
..."I call it the Prolonged Combat or PC armor... Tight but well
ventilated leather clothing, consisting of 2 pieces,
encompassing all but the wearers hands, feet, neck and head.
Equipped with strong armor plating that will deflect most
shrapnel and low caliber bullets to a degree, and on person
equipment storage and holders, consisting of a light weight back
pack, ammunition belt and or bandolier, machete and knife
sheaves as well as holster for the users side arm, a section of
the belt for holding a water canteen and a strap to help
carrying the wearers weapon" Lieutenant Ford presented to his
commanding officers, minus General Heston who was attending to
more important matters.
..."I'm going to need 13 of those, by tomorrow morning
Lieutenant" Major Terrance said.
..."No Problem Sir" Ford said with a nod.

..."We have an shit ton of 45. and 308. ammo and weapons and
those weapons will probably suit your needs" Sergeant Daniel
Contreras said in his usual tone, not really caring that he was
talking to a General.
..."Do explain" Heston said sharing the same tone like they were
made to talk to each other.
..."Sniper? You can't beat a Hunting Rifle with these 2
modifications, a long range scope and a custom action, and
extended magazines might keep your boys alive longer" Contreras
said. Heston's bored facial expression didn't change.
..."For squad leader, and anybody that you would really want to
keep alive, the 45 SMG with a few modifications to keep it on
target"
..."For the biggest tough guy you got, the Automatic Rifle,
"I've seen this used, there were very few survivors" Contreras
joked but Heston just grunted.
..."For your other grunts, the Battle Rifle, a semi automatic
rifle, great mid range weapon" Contreras explained.
..."Side arm?" Heston asked.
..."45. Pistol, with a modified slide, and maybe a silencer for
your sneaky pricks" Contreras said.
..."Get 13 45. Pistols, 4 45. SMG's, one Automatic Rifle, 6
Battle Rifles and 2 Hunting rifles, with all the modifications
you suggested and as much ammo as a grunt can carry. Good day"
Heston said and then left with giving Contreras a chance to
salute, which he wouldn't have anyway.

Major Knight walked into the Mojave Outpost Infirmary with a
piece of paper he had written orders on, which he just received
via radio from the HQ... "Sergeant Amanda Williams?" Major
Knight asked. A stunningly beautiful but by the book Sergeant,
rushed to Major Knight, stood up straight and saluted...
"Sergeant Williams reporting for Duty!" She said.
..."S-s-Sergeant Williams you have been reassigned" Major Knight
said... "Head to HQ" Major Knight added while struggling to
maintain eye contact. She smiled... "Yes Sir" She saluted and
walked back over to her station, grabbed her gear and service
rifle and headed out of the Infirmary.
Major Knight looked down as she walked past and out the door and
then looked up and around... "Corporal James Brown?" He asked.
Corporal James Brown got off the infirmary bed and walked over
to the Major.
... "What can I do you for Major?" He said Casually... "I
understand you blow things up?" Major Knight asked... "I have
been known to turn one thing into lots of tiny things from time
to time. Sir" Corporal Brown said.
..."Good, catch up to Sergeant Williams, you've been reassigned"
Major Knight said. Corporal Brown went back over to his bed,
grabbed his Service Rifle and gear and walked out of the
Infirmary.

Major Knight walked out of the Infirmary and back to his station
in one of the 2 actual buildings at the Mojave Outpost, just as
he sat down, Lieutenant Walton walked in the door..."Major"
Walton saluted.
..."I'm looking for 3 Survivalists" Walton stated...
"Survivalists?" Major Knight asked... "People who can live of
the land, survive behind enemy lines for long periods of time"
Walton explained.
..."Try the Scouts, they're in a large tent at the back of
Outposts" Knight said... "Thank you sir" Walton said and then
left.
He walked down a large tent at the back of the outpost and
walked inside, Lieutenant Sheeves met him at the door... "Can I
help you?" He asked... "Yeah, I need 3 of your best
Survivalists" Walton said. Sheeves went silent for a moment and
though about it... "What for?".
..."Can't say, but I have orders from General Heston" Walton
explained... "It's going to leave me very short handed, I'm
already losing scouts like clock work, now you're taking them
away".
..."I'll talk to Heston about your situation, but I need 3
Survivalists" Walton said... "Fuck".
..."Alright take Sergeant Keith, Private Thomas and Private
Danzel" Sheeves said angrily.
..."Keith, Thomas, Danzel, you've been reassigned, grab your
gear and head to HQ" Walton ordered and then walked out of the
tent, leaving the 3 scouts surprised and confused.

Lieutenant Walton walked through the Mojave Outpost and towards
a group of soldiers sitting in lawn chairs and on stools in the
shade of the monument listen to a radio and leaning on tables of
the large sandbag wall along the top of the hill, built around
the feet of the monuments.
..."I'm looking for a Private Rolland Barnes?" he asked as he
got close to the group..."That's Corporal Rolland Barnes,
Lieutenant" Barnes said with a grin.
...“Right Corporal Barnes, you’ve been reassigned, retrieve your
gear and go to HQ, General Heston is waiting” Walton said trying
to keep a stern imposing position over the frontline troops,
they were rowdy and unpredictable, that is why they were on the
front line.
Barnes got up from his seat and looked at his squad mates who
were all looking at him with disappointment, he was a great
friend to the entire squad. “Well I’ll put in, to get back here,
once I’m finished doing whatever I gotta’ do” Barnes said.
...“Now, where I can find a Private Robert Boyd?” Walton asked
just before he was about to leave. A soldier put his hands on
his head and sighed... “That’s Bobby, Lieutenant. Why do you
want me?”
...“I understand you’re an expert at getting into places you
shouldn’t be” Walton said...“I haven’t stole nothing if that’s
what you’re saying!” Bobby stated.
...“I wasn’t saying that, but you’ve been reassigned too, go
with Corporal Barnes” Walton ordered.
Bobby shook his head and got up from his seat next to the
mounted Machine Gun Barnes operated, and the boxes of ammunition
and bullet casings in old buckets for recycling and left giving
a small wave to his squad and walked off with Barnes
...“What now Lieutenant? You just took my Machine Gunner and my
back up Machine Gunner!” The Squads Sergeant exclaimed...“Tough”
Walton said and stormed off, the squad just looked Walton as he
stormed off, all were pissed off.
...“Cameron, on the Machine Gun, take your time and learn how to
use it properly” The Sergeant ordered.

Sorry this is taking so long guys, every time I try to write, I
get interupted by something, it literally took me 3 days to get
the Infirmary Part done, which I did last. Rest of the intros
and and then descriptions next chapter and then maybe, some
action.

Oh yeah, I'll take the hunting rifle, favorite weapon in the
game. The crew is altogether, now lets kick ass and take names!
Not to mention our story, hey, if your super busy I can write
the next chapter if you dont have time.
