Heart and Soul

In the city where the fields grow tall the river runs deep the
sun shines bright and high and the heart beats loud... Lives an
untouchable unbreakable force.
Owl City College
Foot Ball Field. Friday October 17th 2013
Coach Andre Jackson stood on the field watching his
team practice running up and down.
He smiled and said maybe this year is the one we get
another trophy.
Andre Jackson was a brave man and a wise man he was the
head quarterback for the Owl City College Foot Ball team over
ten years ago.
Andre lead his team to the championship and they won it
for the tenth time that year.
Now the coach of that same team for five years he has
tried time and time again for five years to do it again but no
qb is ever any good.
The divorced small town man was a hero in the city
since he went pro and lead the Owl City Rivers to the Superbowl
and won that too.
Andre was a loner even though he was famous he slept
all night dreaming another person would be the new hero but no
luck.
He called his boys over to him and had a chat with
them.
Alright everyone you did good today. Toby that was
good speed and power sacking the qb and Vinny good catches.
Look guys this teams the best i have seen in years
maybe we can take it all the way this year Andre said.
I'm proud of you all you been doing good all year
we are undefeated and we got a game in two days
with the best team in the league for the last two
years the Stix Town Penguins he said.
We are tough and smart quick.... The way Simon
has been throwing ,and connecting with Nick Toby and Vinny
I have no doubt you can beat these chumps.
Now go home and get rested Mountains we got a
big game ahead of us.
The Owl City College team the Mountains were
the best all year next to the Penguins.
Both teams were tough the Penguins had a good
Quarterback Jimmy Bow & Arrow Jones was his name
Nick named bow & arrow because anything he
targeted he hit bulls eye.
Dino a local trouble maker was on the team but
never played because of his bad attitude.
Sunday night 7 p.m. The night of the last game until the
Flower bowl named after legendary player Donny Flower.
Dino ran into a few players from Mountains and put his
two cents in on the game.
Dino: Hey wimps... Ready to lose to the best?
Vinny: Oh look the loser who doesn't even play is talking.
Dino: Hey the guy i tackled my last day of playing is talking
the one i put in the emergency room.
Vinny: Lucky night punk ...... Nick i gotta catch you gotta
throw Zack Toby you want to lay this chump out?
Dino: Ha! Try me try me! He flexed his muscles.
Nick: Enough you two. No one is fighting tonight Dino go blow
like the wind we got a game to win.
Toby: Yeah Vin lets go let the punk talk we are playing he
isn't he don't got nothing to lose.
Zack: We'll lay him out after the game Vin.
Vinny: Okay...You're right ..See ya later Dino.
They walked off to locker rooms and Dino followed.
Hey man what's that guys problem Vinny? Asked Toby.
Man he is a bum we used to be best friends but he got an
ego now he is a jerk and a low life thief replied Vin.
He hit the yard for two years his parents kicked him
out and he was abused by his uncle so can you blame the kid
Vin? Asked Nick.
You know him too Nick? Toby asked.
We all do he was our friend i was his next door
neighbor until high school he replied.
Hey i don't know about you guys but tonight i'm
sacking B & A twenty times said Simon.
Ha laughed Jason.... You wish i have the best stats
all year i been sacking Qb's like nothing 37 touch downs and 23
Interceptions.
Jason you been hurt for a month and haven't seen
action in a while since the last time we played these guys
Remember stay away from Clyde Dawson he's the
toughest guy on their team said Nick.
Dino listening to their convo got an idea....He
smirked as he punched out Toby's lights while he headed to the
bath room.
Dino got dressed and went out on the field in the
mountains uniform as if he was Toby.
The Mountains won the coin toss and the Penguins
kicked the ball off.
Jason caught the ball then rushed down the field
to the 30 yard line where he got tackled by George Jimmers.
Alright good job Jason said Simon. Now Toby i'm
gonna fake like i'm handing it to Zack to run then i'll throw it
to you on the side okay?
Got it Dino replied in his best Toby voice.
Simon yelled hike Zack ran up and faked like he
took the ball and ran threw a crowd of Penguins ... Simon looked
for toby
Over here yelled Dino..... Simon threw the ball
just in time before getting smashed by Dawson.
Dino let the ball slip out of his hands.....
pass incomplete yelled the ref.
Man what was that Toby that was an easy catch
man yelled Vinny.
I ate some food before the game my bad guys
said Dino still doing his toby impression.
You okay man asked Paul as he lifted Simon
up. Yeah i'm okay he replied.
Okay that was okay Toby just a mistake said
Simon .. Now Jason i'll go for the long toss you got this? Or
do you Vin?
We got it they said.
Hike! Simon ran to the first down and
threw it far Vinny caught it at the 10 yard line and ran in for
the Touch Down.
Yeeeeah! Coach yelled out.
The all celebrated and the game went on
Vinny with a injured leg from being ht hard thanks to dino simon
was banged up as well.
Second half of the game Fourth and Three
minutes remaining with the penguins up by a touch down it was
Mountains ball
2nd and 15 Simon wanted to go for the
long toss to Jason to score the tie but Dino had other plans.
He got ready to toss it but Dino ran out
of the way instead of protecting him Dawson and Lopez ran into
him and smashed his ribs.
everyone yelled the coach thought it's
over he walked out and talked to the players while simon was
carried
off in a stretcher.
Tob what was that bout? Andre asked.
Dino removed his helmet and laughed ...Everyone punched him and
the coach
said calm down.
Coach Andre: Look guys we can still do
this Dino you wore the outfit you on this team boy.
Dino: Yup and we'll win this then hit
the Flower Bowl and win.
Jason: Dino you better win us this and
the Flower for Simon and Toby.
Dino: Relax i got this.
Dino ran out and Paul took over as Qb.....
Hike! Paul couldn't find any one open Penguins were
everywhere....
He jetted down the field in fear of being
sacked by Dawson.
Dino got open in the End Zone ..Paul threw it
Dino jumped and caught it fell and it slipped out of his hands
the crowd went silent as the ball fumbled
down the end zone..... Dawson jumped at it Bow N arrow jumped at
it
..both missed ..... Dino ran everything
seemed in slow motion..he grabbed it .... Touch Down Mountains!
Touch down mountains!
Paul Also their Kicker kicked the field goal
and got the two points.
It seemed victory was in the air but Now Bow &
Arrow was gonna try and work his magic with one minute left.
Dino look man good job and i'm still kickin
you later but sack that guy you are the only one strong enough
to Take him down said Vinny.
Will do and you can't punk replied Dino.
B&A hiked the ball Dawson rushed through the whole front
Seven of the mountains..... Ha mountains more like dirt hills
said Dawson.
Dino ran up to Dawson and pushed him dawson pushed back
and said you are weak Dino you left us and you are a weak
player boy
Bow and Arrow threw the ball perfectly heading right into
dawsons hands it seemed but Dino had a trick up his sleeves.
Hey guess what he rammed Dawson hard as he could -boooom!-
Dawson flew imnto the crowd of fans..... Dino intercepted it and
the mountains won.

I still enjoyed the teaser.
Wow bro, that's some awesome writing good job!
This is a different type of story to what everybody usually
writes. good work.

I nearly wept with joy reading that passage. go team mountains
go! You've made football an exciting sport for me, i may
actually start watching it now JK this story is better than any
ole dumb foozeball game, Heart and Soul is Rudy the underdog in
written format.
See man your a great writer and your story speaks of passion and
the will to win no matter the odds against you, you and this
story are a lot alike, in that you stride for success well boy,
you're a superstar now and you're going to the super bowl of
story fame!

This story has a strong vibe you know and it's football season,
this story and the longest yard are my logic when it comes to
football because i have no clue how the games really played.
maybe it's writers block that can be a pain in the ass and we
hope you recover from whatever it is that's got you down mike.
