The Wasteland Planner

"The Event, nobody knows what caused it, nobody knows why it
happened and nobody knows how it happened, but everybody knows
it happened, the 1st of January 2000, the entire world went
dark, everything electrical stopped, planes dropped from the
skies, lights went out, mass looting and riots followed.
Millions died in the blink of an eye. True to human nature, we
blamed each other and the hell that followed... 3 quarters of
the world dead, most of the worlds structures demolished. A
world wide war. A 2 year hell storm of gun fire and explosions.
Then in the year 2002 it stopped and the effects of the war were
immediately felt. By 2010, Society was gone, the world had
plunged into a pit of violence and despair. Now 30 Years after
the event what little pockets of orderly society is left,
Civilization has taken on a brand new meaning and nobody is
better off"

Name: "Robbo"
Age: Probably 20
Height/Weight: 6ft 3 110 kg
Appearance: Long messy hair, scar from right eyebrow to right
ear, short beard
Clothes: Leather Armour (Similar to Max's in the Original Mad
max, but more suited to combat)
Back story: Lived in a small town near the coast, one of the
last towns, trying to keep the old world alive, his father was a
Mechanic on the front lines during the Technology War and taught
Robbo everything he knew, because he thought that when the world
was going to be rebuilt, people with Mechanical know how would
be valuable. He was also taught to read, write and basic maths.
When he was 15 the town was attacked by a large gang and killed
almost everybody and took the survivors to a Slave Colony and
sold them. Robbo was among those who were sold into Slavery.
There he mouthed off to a guard and was beaten nearly to death.
He soon forgot his real name and just start calling himself
Robbo. He was brought by Mercenaries after he and few other
slaves attempted an escape while a group of Mercenaries were
passing through the Colony.
He has been working for them for a year, paying back the
Mercenaries to be given his freedom.
Notes: He forgot his real name due to the beatings, torture and
brainwashing he received in the Slave colony from age 15 to age
19, he is very kind at heart and honest., but has to hid that to
survive in the Wasteland.

I'm thinking the area to set the story will be a fake state
known as Eastern Australia, a mix between all of Australias
climates
Out West is desert and scrub and East is the Coast, large hills
and cliffs, thick forests and swamps, there open plains of
rolling hills and fences scattered across it, Mountains to the
South West, that are snow capped. To the North East is the
Capital off the state on Coast is Walla Walla Bay, originally
called Rainy Bay, (Walla Walla, roughly means Rain or lots of
Rain).
Also do you think we should put it 1st or 3rd Person
Remember, there wasn't a Nuclear war, it was all army vs army
combat.

Name:Chester "Lynch" Finch
Age:29
Height/Weight:5'7 170
Appearance: Shaved head, think black eye glasses, small goatee,
Clothes: Light Mercenary armor, old Cowboy Hat, satchel
Back story: Chester or "Lynch" as he prefers, started off
working a car mechanic at a young are when vehicles weren't as
scarce as they are today, but he soon became in technology and
started tinkering with the new advanced tech. He moved out to
the west and lives in a fairly large and populated city, He soon
picked up a job working with the scientists in their labs.
Notes: Lynch has lived in the big city for about 15 years and
has never left or ventured deep into the wasteland and has real
idea what its like out there.
I'm going to write in first person, that way you can add their
emotions and it feels like your living in the apocalypse.
Lets make the map a little simple, make the areas in an easy
position. For example like the 5 dots on a dice. Make the
Capital in the middle, the swamp/forest in the top left,
mountains on the bottom left, desert top right and the coast
area on the bottom right!!!!!

Name: Ralph " Savage " Baron
Height: 5'9
Age: 25
Appearance: rough hair hanging to shoulders, brown hair, beard,
dark brown eyes.
Clothes: Wasteland medic outfit. Dirty combat gloves.
Back Story: Ralph was a soldier patrol scout for the Blackwood
Mercs of Northen New Stralia. When the war came "Savage" earned
his nickname by racking up an emmense body count of 236 men in 2
years. Blindly, he was serving a general who only wanted to
control northern Stralia. Ralph is now on a journey to the
capital to put down that same general who set him up to be
killed by his own men. He is very savvy in survival, combat and
developing part modifications for his weapons. An all around
warrior rather. Ralph is battling his mind wether to build an
atom bomb and destroy half of Blackwood or Take out the illusive
" General".
Note: sorry I added a spot in the map. I'm writing in first
person also.

Well I'm keen to start writing. Wetbizket we'll use you're idea
for the map layout, Stralia can be the area north of where me
and WB are setting our story.
My character will be changing a lot during the first chapter, so
I will edit my character description quite a bit.
I also made some changes already.
Remember it's not just us three everybody can join the story at
any time, try and get OG and Yossi in this too, I want this to
be big
Remember most like 99.5% of all automatic weapons are gone and
most ammo for them guns are gone too, explosives are either
dynamite or crude homemade devices.

FO3 was a great game and still is.

skipped over mentioning new vegas seeing as FO3 is the better
fallout.

I suppose there is, but it's wild and dangerous, not as
dangerous as the wasteland, but pretty crazy.
You guys come up with the rest, I think it needs a dictator
ruling the place with his own personal gang.
I'm going to try and post and intro and my characters first
chapter soon.
