Forum goals?

Ayngel, you have done a hell of a job.
I just have a simple question... Do we want to keep this small
and private, or do we want it to grow into its own thing?

I would really like to know what you guys think about this forum
staying a Small/Private Forum or letting it grow.

I'm 50/50 on this proposition on the other hand there are still
quite a few regulars we haven't got here yet. But also as
SRForums grow there will be no doubt that some decent folk will
come through by the law of averages but making it private might
happen eventually.

A "goal" should be too have a fucking laugh my friends!

I asked, but I am not sure myself...
I mean, The SR wiki is great, but there is no discussion
there....
The SR forums just suck monkey nuts now, there is discussion,
but at this point it has just devolved into tards arguing about
whether its more fun to take it in the mouth or in the ass....
It would be nice to be able to go to a full funtioning and
moderated forum and talk about SR.
But at the same time, I don't want this place to turn into that
place, nor do I want this place to become a dead space once the
newness of SR3 wears off.... and as egotistical as it is to
admit... I like being a founding member of something, one of the
"cool kids" as it were....
But all that said... perhaps we should open up, have loftier
aspirations... maybe even expand our scope beyond just Siants
Row, and be inclusive of Sandbox games in general... I dunno,
just throwing out ideas here...

I look at it this way to grow would be cool on the other hand i
don't want ayngel getting sued by volition for making it a sr
replica or some shit. Though i'm not sure if they can do that i
mean ppl make forums of things all the time it's not like we are
taking away or saying hey don't go there or that we are volition
or anything.

I think Wisdom is on the right path we can make it inclusive of
Sandbox games in general. Like Sandbox Veterans ?
We need to think of a cool Forum name and things

Actually, I am quite fond of the name Sandbox Veterans... The
only Down side is if we do this, it might take some serious
restructuring of the foums... which, honestly, is something I
have kinda been meaning to bring up... The new sections are
awesome, but the front page of the forum is getting a little..
huge... perhaps we could organize it it, I have some ideas if
you are open, but I need to work on them a bit more first.
Right away though, I suggest we relegate all game specific
sections to one area, and call it the Sandbox... and all other
things, like the art threads, general discussion, reviews, and
what not, to another section called the Litter Box...
If we are going to open up, we might want to start looking to
gather a list of all the biggest sandbox games... smaller
franchises we can just lump in an "other games" section...
As I said, in addition to running my own small forum I am a
member of quite a few reputable and large forums... including as
a founding member of the Outhouse, a comic forum that began by
breaking away from Newsarama when it went to shit, it now gets
exclusive interviews, comic previews, and even invites to
cons... I only bring this up because I know how big a project
like this can become, and I know how difficult it can be...
Oh, and if I am overstepping please let me know, I hate to seem
rude, and I would hate to wear out my welcome...
