       Spoilers..
I don't know what I think. So let me just talk about the game
and tell you at the end. I guess we'll figure it out together...
       The Bad:
-Gat Dies off screen and with no emotion in the plot. The viewer
tends to care more than the characters in the game, and yes, his
death does drive the plot of the game. But Shaundi seems to be
the only one who really actually cares. It would not have been
character breaking to have MC actually care. Hell, MC was more
concerned about Gat in SR2, when Gat is about to get the chair.
And even Volition admits that MC was more of a dick in SR2. This
was the first insult. But I just kept hoping that he was just
held hostage and kidnapped by The Syndicate. Not that I care if
a cartoon character lives or dies, but had that been the plot it
would have actually explained why no one else gave a shit. And
Pierce's weak excuse of "Yeah, but you're always pissed off." is
pathetic. Because in the bad ending even MC is saddened when
       Shaundi and Viola die.
-Loren has barely ANYTHING to do with the story. And we were
told numerous times that he was the big bad, main bad guy. Now,
I understand why his concept art, in-game model, and "power"
incarnation all look different. V-Staff probably only had like 2
or three pictures to work with. Death is handled very poorly in
this game. Gat dies off screen, Kiki is entirely wasted as a
character and Loren doesn't even get a boss fight.
-I was told that there was a "depressing ending" and an "ending
that doesn't make sense". One would assume that the Saints in
Space ending was the one that didn't make sense and the
Helicarrier Ending with shaundi dying being the sad one. I'm
thinking that it's the other way around. The loss of Shaundi,
Gat and Viola were the only characters in the plot that seemed
to have drive and focus. Viola wanted to avenge her sister and
was looking toward becoming friends with the Saints. Gat wanted
things to go back to how they were and leave the commercialism,
and Shaundi was trying to avenge Gat.
Okay, so maybe Gat, as a character, ran his course. He was a
badass gang banger who lost his girl/wife and just became
depressed and died saving the only person he could probably
truly call a friend. Sad, and could have been handled better,
but it made sense. However, the Shaundi and Viola ending is just
so fucking stupid. And now, I'm not talking about as a narrative
or wasted potential, I mean in-game as well. Why would MC let
Shaundi and Viola die to get someone that MC barely cared about
anyway? Killbane was Angel's nemesis. After he was unmasked,
Angel had already explained earlier in the game that it was a
fate worse than death. That was the whole reason that you unmask
him instead of just shooting him. It was almost as if Volition
realized that they had no actual "final choice" so they just
decide to make MC care about Killbane again. For this ending to
make sense, MC should have unmasked him, and then tried to kill
him then and there. That's not what happened.
And anyway...A fucking city state? Are you shitting me?
I don't know about any of you, but the "good ending" is the only
one that I'm going to acknowledge. It makes the most sense and
wraps up this story (the best out of the two), while leaving
room for SR4 and characters like Cyrus to return. And Cyrus was
hinted to have had a romantic relationship to Kia. So Cyrus has
even more reason to hate MC.
       -Questions left unanswered.
       1. Ummm...Forgot about Dex?
       2. In the good ending, we see that the mayor is up there as
well. So Burt Reynolds dies in the bad ending as well as viola
and Shaundi, how or why would Cyrus have allowed Kia to kidnap
the mayor...that's counterproductive to their mission. Also, why
would Monica Hughes instantly blame the Saints, when it was
Saints who died in the explosion? Shaundi and Viola's bodies
would be found in the wreckage. Forensics would show they were
tied up, while Kia was free.
       3. Jane, *see the bottom of this*
       4. where's the floating island they talked about?
-The final and worst insult is zombie gat. No. Just fucking no.
At least they didn't rape the character, by having him feed on
people. At least he's more of a demon than a zombie. but still.
-Each game that comes around proves to me more and more that
Volition is sexist. Lin is the only female in SR that is not a
slut, ho, npc, or trash. She's actually working to clean up
Stilwater and is trying to help you. She's never seen doing
anything overly violent on screen and is pretty respectable. She
dies. Shaundi was depicted as a druggie whore in SR2, and when
she finally gets cleaned up, she dies in one of the possible
endings. And Viola and Kiki, do I really have to explain?
intelligent and bold, Kiki is the first to die for it. And
viola, as she starts showing value, is killed in one of the
       possible endings.
So who else do we have Jane Valderama who is a double crossing
snake who's willing to say whatever is necessary to get ratings?
Samantha the stripper from the first game? Wheel Woman who
barely even exists? Laura the walking joke/parody of the tv show
"weeds"? Tera Patrick the porn star? Come on.
Honestly, I'm pretty upset with how they handled the story,
everything felt disjointed and rushed. And Volition lied to us
about all sorts of things, but mostly they changed the game.
This is more than a reboot of the series, this is another series
       altogether.
       The Good:
Hey, well, it's fun to play. I haven't done co-op yet, but that
       could be even better...
I don't hate the game, and I'm not trading it in or anything. I
do like the gameplay, but gameplay isn't everything. If I'm
paying $64.19, I'm expecting the same level of quality story
telling as anything else for that price. So how can Mass Effect
and Elder Scrolls offer volumes of engaging story for that price
tag teamed WITH great gameplay, while this is sold just on
gameplay? Even Batman did it better. Volition dropped the ball,
       man.
And the gameplay of SR:TT isn't even that good. It's 'okay' but
we've actually lost a lot of the features present in SR2. So in
actuality, we've taken a step down in gameplay in certain ways,
but the graphics are what really are blinding a lot of people.
I guess I'd have to say my overall for this game is, and this is
my putting my personal bias aside, I'd give it an 8/10. Good
graphics, Great audio, good gameplay, fun and compelling story
up until the ending....However, as an SR fan and comparing it to
previous SR games? I'd say about 5/10.
The reasoning is that if I were not a fan of this series and
didn't care about the story anyway, just wanted to have fun,
with an open world...I'd actually pick this one up over the
first two. However, having been involved with the series since
the first one in 06, I can see the decline that non-fans can't
see. If there's anyone here who started the games with the
second one and never played the first, then you don't understand
how they've given up on trying to tell a solid story. the first
game made sense and was well written. It was funny and clever.
now that their focus is LITERALLY on potty humour, I have no
more hope for this series to be taken seriously ever again. And
with Johnny (and possibly Shaundi) dead, Pierce is the only
proof that there were games before SR:TT.
Also Jane Valderama was like 35 at absolute MOST in SR2. She's
like 50 in this....what the fuck? And there's no mention of why
       she's in Steelport.

^^And the Kish from Kryme is back... As for the island... I'd
also like to know, I've been all over the map and pretty much
everywhere else and so far there is no secret island or anything
like that. I also agree with your take on the ending.

:-\The only things I didn't like plot wise:
       - Gat was in so much promotional media that I did think the
plane crash was just a fluke and come out from nowhere.
       - Same with Shaundi, she was in so much promotional media and
she had very little screen time compared to Viola, but what I
hated was how much of a moany bitch she was and surprised, Gat's
death was sad but of all people why did it have to piss off
Shaundi? I could understand if she was upset about Pierce dying
because they had a lot of screen time together during SR2, they
       had like a sibling rivalry.
I dont recall Shaundi ever interacting with Gat. So when she
became so upset I was like: "since when did you like Gat?!"
Gameplay wise, I fucking hate that's there's no kind if replay
feature, activities are the only things to do now that the main
storyline is out of the way.
When I played the last mission for the first time I chose to
save Shaundi but the ending was so "meh" but when I replayed the
mission and went for killbane, the ending and final mission felt
right. It felt like a better ending, so maybe Shaundi was
destined to die (I hope) I liked her but she became more of a
hindrance as the storyline progressed in ST:TT it was like: "you
have no use." Although the storyline in general could've being
       better.

The bad ending is better but it's so out of character. You
already got revenge on killbane. Why would you let three friends
die and be framed as a terrorist so you can stop a guy from
leaving town. When odds are, with Kenzie's ability, you could
track him down fairly easily. I think the Gangsters in Space
ending is the real ending. Most games like this, the good
       ending is canon.
I wonder how the three DLC mission packs are gonna be tho..
GenkiBowl? Hmm. Not sure what that'll do for the story.
Gangsters in Mars? Seems like an extension of the good ending
which points to it being canon. The trouble with clones seems
like it could be interesting. I hope they'll do one more DLC
that addresses the fans issues with the game and maybe wraps up
       the story so it's cohesive.
The lack of mission replay kills the replayability of this game
       tho.

       ^^
The point about getting your revenge on Killbane is pretty good
and while I do think the good ending is canon, I'd like to think
the bad ending is the real ending, the thing is I don't think
the ending is actually bad, Shaundi's dead but so is KillBane
and as much as I love Shaundi...Well did, she didn't contribute
enough in ST:TT to consider her loss a tragedy although this is
only down to personal perspective. :)
Also the part of killing Cyrus gave it more closure but at the
same time it was good that his lady friend was killed in the
other ending. Gah I can't decide between the two. =/
But yeah the part about Shaundi doesn't make me sad. xD

For me personally i consider the movie ending as canon, and here
is my reason why.... The game is potrayed as being a movie right
       from the opening Star-Wars-esque prologue.
Sure i do realise "Gangsta's In Space" is only revealed near the
end of the game, but in my own opinion it is possible to look at
SR:TT as a "movie within a movie.... Within a game."
That is why i do hold out hope that Gat (yes i realise we unlock
a zombie Gat) AND Shaundi are back for 4, possibly in Steelport
       again or somewhere else.
Thats my view on the story, as for anything more to it and
possible new areas to explore, 3 letters.... DLC.
Oh and one other thing to consider, by "killing off" Gat,
Volition are eliminating their ONLY WORTHWHILE not to mention
BANKABLE A-lister who could give the game mainstream appeal
(lets face it we are ALL zombies to mainstream media and
celebrities lives at some point lol).
You may commence trash talking and discrediting my thoughts on
the game.... Now. I don't give a damn.

I found this map on a ship a few minutes ago and took a pic of
it, I don't know what it means. A lot of places are marked, one
is the reactor crib and another is the Deckers tower. I've been
all over the map looking for the places marked, but none of it
is making any sense. Maybe someone else can find out.

Could someone may help me by telling me where the last Gang
Operation should be...(It's in the Luchadores territory for
sure, because cleared the deckers one and the last one for
Morningstar is on a rooftop). Thank you in advance.
