Shadow I really could not agree more, SRTT sadly has been a
disappointment to me and as you said to did not exceed the
expectations of the hard core Saint’s Row fans.
I hope all you guys that enjoy the game don’t take what I say in
the wrong way, but I personally found SR1 and 2 much better. I
thought the whole point in continuing on a series was to better
it more than the next?
It may just be me, but the game looks and feels like a rushed
job and the only attentions from this game is to bleed the
consumer dry with the DLC
I got the game yesterday and began to play it when I got home
from the cinema last night, I was in no way excited about
playing it, unlike the feeling of joy I had when buying SR2
standing outside in the cold waiting for the shop to open at
8:30 and rushing home to play it.
With the amount of constant Whoring of the game leading to the
release- by Volition, there has no surprises really.
I will play the story mode hard core the next few days to get
the game complete and I’ll be trading this in ASAP.
I will continue to play S1 and SR2 in the Memory of a series
that has died, of a Company that once cared and appreciated
their fans, For the game that brought all of us together and
gave us Hours of enjoyment, A Game that gave us Johnny Fucking
Gat!
RIP
I'm done

I'm done with it , very upset with Volition. I would not have
minded if SRTT was not 100% fantastic if at least I had a fully
functional community site to continue to post on, but I don’t
even have that. I have written my goodbye speech and hope that
I’m respected for my decision and opinion.
EDIT- Fuck it , I'm taking it to a Game shop and Trading it
today, I am hoping that I get a good price as I've not used the
Genki code or Online Pass codes... Sadly I will not get the
Achivements that I unlocked on SRTT as I was not using my home
console and had no online access.
I may get the new Forza or MW3,

Yeah, I'm done with that place, the only thing that has kept me
on there was my friends, the place is not the same anymore and
the game was a let down. I hope you guys still keep in touch
with me on here.

I meant THIS site. But that's a shame, You were a very dedicated
member, as were all the vets. It's a shame that not only was the
game a let down, but the forums have gone to complete shit.
And judging from not only that forum but a lot of others, it
seems a lot of people are disappointed and are returning their
copies or are pissed off that they can't. And what's sad is that
Volition doesn't even seem to give a fuck. I've given up on them
and Saints Row altogether.
Well like I said, we got GTA V on the way and it looks excellent
so far.

[/quote] can't see any reason for me to be there anymore. The
only reason I would have gone on to the site would only be to
keep in touch with all the Vets. I'm just so glad you all joined
up so I can keep contact with you all, It would be upsetting if
I could not speak to you.
I handed in my copy of SRTT got £25 for it at GAME, I kept the
un-used Genki code but the Online code was un-used, so that will
be a nice wee surprise for the buyer. I ended up getting MW3
(Too much good games to choose from this year)
The funny thing is I was not the only person in there this
afternoon trading in a copy of SRTT :-/
I'm glad for the people who enjoy the game, at least they are
getting their moneys worth, but sadly it was not for me :-(
Believe me I really wanted to like this game, I was looking
forward to it in the early stages.

I think the game is all right. It will get better, it has to.
Why over hype it just for it to suck ass? Yeah it is stupid that
everything is DLC, but I'm still going to buy it all no matter
what anyone says, sounds dumb on my part, but oh well. I mean
really, there is no use in getting mad about it pretty soon
there will be many more companies doing it. It is inevitable.

The games not that bad. If it had replayable missions and
cutscenes, I'd be really happy. But the story is
discombobulated. I have a feeling they planned had DDK do some
voice work earlier and he was busy and couldn't do a lot but
they planned on bringing him back and he didn't have time for it
do they had a weak ass rewrite. Cuz in the guide, it mentions
that the original plan was to have a mission to rescue Gat from
the Morningstar. And that whole thing seems so screwy.
And I bet the Loren death was cooler in there heads than it
appeared on screen.. Maybe if they added a splat effect and
blood everywhere it would have been better. Cuz people don't
even realize he died and shit. Same with Gat.
Most of the missions are good even tho there are prolly only
around 30. The rest are activities that count as missions or
there's around 4 missions that are just cutscenes but officially
are added as a mission. There are some epic moments tho. The
first two missions are prolly the best in the game. I think the
inability to top those hurts the rest of the game. The thing
that irritates me is I play the first two missions again and I
feel like the story had tons of potential. But they dropped the
ball. Just Gat's weak ass death puts such a sour note on the
game and turns you off of it quickly. Like you don't believe it
when you first hear it. And depending on the decision you make
in the killing Loren mission, you don't even realize they are
going to Gat's funeral in the following cutscene. If you keep
the building. They make no mention of it and just check out the
non-crib and you're on a bridge during the next cutscene at a
Monica Hughes press conference. If you destroy the building they
mention having to go back to stilwater to bury Johnny. But a lot
of the story would have felt better if it wasn't for that. The
gangsters in space ending was stupid as well.
But my biggest gripe with the game besides the story feeling
discombobulated at times is the replay cutscene/mission being
gone. There's no reason for that.
But overall, the actually gameplay is tons better than SR2 and
obviously the graphics are too which isn't a big deal to me. But
I do like the improved visuals ofthe character. Even if the city
kinda feels like another liberty city sorta.
But coop is still a blast. I still have tons of fun with that.
Gunplay and overall fighting is much better in this version. As
is driving. They fixed a lot of the annoying things in the
activities which makes certain ones like escort and heli assault
less annoying. But very easy actually.
But overall, I've had a ton of fun with the game. Even though
the story is a lil weird at times.
I can tell that most of the DLC for this is gonna be horrible.
The Genki pack gets old after around 5 seconds when you realize
that air strikes and UAVs are way better in that slot. I mean, I
had some fun in coop loading a car up with satchels then using
the remote control gun and detonating it at my partner and tons
of enemies lol.
I give the game an 8/10. Some very dissappointing things. I
still love a large portion of the game. But without a replay
mission feature, I doubt I'll play this game much more unless I
am playing coop. To me, it's still worth the 60 bucks. I've
spent 60 dollars on stuff and got far less time and fun out of
what I got out of this. I'm like 35 hours in and I've 100%d the
game. But I haven't done a single assassination or vehicle theft
mission. Those add some replayability.
I love this game but I'm pissed about it at the same time. What
it truly feels like is what happens to games when they go to a
new generation of consoles. Things get cut in those situations.
But that is no excuse for the story. It feels kinda like what
happened to GTA between SA and IV but I still feel this game has
more replayability.
Lol. Sorry for the first post and long ass rant. Just wanted to
vent and defend it a bit.

The gangstas in space ending is the real ending to SRTT. I
noticed that after you play the other ending where Shaundi and
Viola die they can still be your homies even though they are
"dead."
