I don't care for either ending to be honest. It's kind of a
moot point because either ending was just "polishing the brass
on the Titanic," so to speak, since the entire story was kind of
a mess already. But anyway, the mission to save Shaundi was
better and more in keeping with the tone of SR1 and SR2, but
then the Ganstas in Space part afterwards is so stupid and is
such a poor way to end the experience, especially after the
awesomeness that was the ending of SR2. And I realize it was
intenionally stupid, but that just makes it even more stupid. I
know people like over the top, but I don't think people wanted
SR to devolve into pure parody. I know I sure as hell didn't.
But regarding the alternative to that ending, I hate to think
that they not only killed off Johnny, but Shaundi as well, so
all we're left with is the annoying ass Zimos as their piss poor
replacement. Plus I didn't like the idea that we had to go
after Killbane and kill him, it didn't make any sense. First,
he had almost nothing to do with any of the things that happen
to the Saints throughout the game, and the whole point of facing
and beating him in Murder Brawl and unmasking him was that they
made such a big deal about the fact that it was "a fate worse
than death." So once we've done that, Killbane is beaten and
has all but disappeared. He's essentially out of the picture
already, but then for some reason we have to go kill him anyway?
       Give me a break.
Incidentally, I also hate the title Saints Row The Third. It's
a huge nitpick, I know, but when I first heard that was the
title, I already got the slightest inkling that things might be
       going downhill.
And just so it's clear, none of that is directed at anyone here
       on the forum.

True.... For me personally, call it blind faith (or stupidity)
but i honestly do believe that the story will get sorted out
with the dlc mission packs and certain questions will get
       answered.

lol It's funny because Shrek The Third was on yesterday. It was
       a fucking piss poor sequel.

Sadly I don't have the same faith. I have quite a few problems
with SR3, as evidenced by my review, but I honestly think that I
could overlook almost all of my complaints if the story would
have been on the same level as SR1 and SR2. If the story would
have been on that same level and they still had mission replay,
I probably wouldn't be too bothered by the rest of it. But
unfortunately I don't think the story's weak points and missteps
can be rectified by some DLC, unless they do some wholesale
       retcons, which is pretty sloppy.
I really wish things were different, trust me on that. I so
looked forward to SR3 since the minute I got through SR2 for the
first time back in 2008. I wanted to love SR3 as much as the
first two, I really did, and there are several things about the
game that I really do like a lot, but it's simply not enough to
make up for what's wrong with it.

Thats fair enough, SR:TT ultimately falls victim to an end of
the trilogy curse (i mean that the first two installments of
something are amazing and that makes expectations for the third
high, and sadly the third part is never up to par with the first
2). Although in saying that the fourth installment (if there is
one) tends to make up for it.
Although i can't think of any examples of either, so i dunno how
       i thought that up XD.

The problem with Holmes and Jaros are they don't know how to
create an ending with substance that makes you feel satisfied.
I'll be honest I wasn't too impressed with the ending for SR2
until Corporate Warfare came out which IMO was alot better than
the one given, but to me I felt the Ultor Arc in SR2 was alot
smaller if it had of been on par with the other 3 rival factions
you went up against it would have probably tied together nicely.
SR:TT had alot of great points but you know with the endings on
offer you just kind of feel cheated because either way you feel
like the guys probably went for a 15 minute coffee break only to
not return and then absolutly wing it.

One of the things that pisses me off most is the villains. Not
themsleves exactly, but just how they were completely wasted.
Matt Miller could've been a really interesting guy. Think about
it, a guy with advanced digital technology. He could've had some
really cool shit in the game. Like, flying techno drones or
something. Or he could've had a real mysterious vibe to him.
Like Albert Wesker in RE4, sitting in a moniter filled room and
giving orders or SOMETHING! Maybe he could've been like Ivan
Vanko in Iron Man 2 and builr robots or something. He's a tech
       genius, so why not?
But no. Instead we get some retarded Tron ripoff and he's a
complete pussy with a stereotypical British accent (no offense
       to brits).
And don't even get me started on Loren. He kidnaps you, kills
Johnny, mocks you, and what happens? You drop a globe on him. No
fight, no retribution, nothing. I want to beat the fuck out of
       him and get payback.
Killbane too. He's just Maero with a fucking mask.
This entire game was just a fail. Even the Daedalus (which I was
very excited for) was a wasted opportunity. Plus my game
glitched up 5 times from loading the Daedalus when getting up
       close to it.

They removed MP so they can concentrate on making this crappy SP
experience? Danny was right. SR3 is was "mind blowing". It's
mind blowing that Volition/THQ missed the mark on so many
       things.
One of the biggest disappointments, Gatt is Dead?!! And killed
off screen. And no funeral or cut scene that indicates he died,
       till Shaundi said something.

After replaying this mission quite recently im still trying to
figure out.... How is it possible for the friggin pony carts to
       explode? XD.
In other news, i can't wait for the mission packs to start being
       released.
