Later that night
***
Evelyn and Shaundi both had taken a long hot shower as soon as
they got back in the penthouse, Evelyn wasn’t in her bathrobe
five minutes afterwards that she crashed on their bed. Evelyn
wasn’t even in the covers or anything, just sprawled out on her
stomach on the bed. Evelyn’s wet hair splayed out from her head
like a fan, Evelyn’s features at peace, making her look younger.
Shaundi smiled slightly, looking on this adorable scene whilst
leaning against the door frame of the bathroom.
Shaundi carefully pulled Evelyn to her rightful side of the bed,
then rotated her to where she would be laying in bed. She then
peeled the crisp clean sheets back, slipping Evelyn into them
and tucking her in. As Shaundi smoothed the sheets out around
Evelyn’s shoulders, Shaundi kissed Evelyn’s forehead, looking
upon Evelyn’s angelic features. She then kissed Evelyn’s cheek,
then her eyes, and her lips. Shaundi wondered, truly, and not to
be cliché, what Evelyn was seeing in her dreams. Shaundi halfway
hoped it was her, but somehow, she almost thought it wasn’t.
Evelyn’s comment back in Safeword, no matter how hard Shaundi
tried to shake it off, was still sticking to her with a
vengence.

Thanks for reading guys! Comments, criticism, and concerns are
welcomed and greatly appreciated! :D Hey Ayngel, can you remove
the 20,000 character limit from the posts? (I started a forum on
this same site for something else, you can do that) it's a bit
hectic to have to break up my chapters into three and four posts
like I did just there. :/ Just something to think about
hopefully! :D

Here's the next chapter, I'd like some criticism and comments on
it hopefully, if you have the time. :D I think with the twist in
it though, you'll want to.
The Ho Boat
Shaundi had lain in bed for hours on end the previous night,
tossing, turning, and not being able to shut her fuckin’ mind
off of what Evelyn had said back at the club. “I’ve been missing
out on… so much!” The words kept playing through Shaundi’s brain
over and over again, taunting her, teasing her, tormenting her
worst fears imaginable. Shaundi saw visions of Evelyn walking
out the door once more, this time much skinnier and more in
trouble than before… this time with no Johnny to stop her and
get her back into safe hands… Shaundi lay in bed staring at the
ceiling, tears streaming down the sides of her face.
Shaundi couldn’t take this anymore… she needed to know. Shaundi
sat up slowly, her deep brown curls that had been peacefully
sprawled out on her pillow where now falling past her shoulders
as she sat up. Her body was clad only in a grey camisole and a
pair of purple silk sleep shorts. Shaundi pulled her legs in to
where she sat Indian style, then reached to her left and clicked
on her bedside lamp, illuminating the pitch black room. The
shades where down on all the windows, and their sky light’s
cover was drawn, giving the room a bit more privacy. Shaundi
leaned over and shook Evelyn awake gently, urging, “Evelyn, wake
up. I need to talk to you about something… something that’s been
bothering me.” Shaundi’s urgent tone was broken slightly by her
still short breaths and slight sobs, giving her a completely
pathetic sound. Evelyn stirred, turning over and opening her
eyes, those big blue eyes instantly locking onto Shaundi. “What
is it?” Evelyn inquired sleepily, sitting up as well, rubbing
her eyes before crossing her legs and yawning.
Evelyn was clad in her white sleepware once more, and like
Shaundi, was not wearing a bra. Evelyn turned and faced Shaundi,
the two now sitting knee to knee. “What is it Shaundi? Talk to
me.” Evelyn urged, placing her left hand on Shaundi’s knee
reassuringly. Shaundi’s eyes welled with tears at the impending
question she needed to ask, but it needed to be done. Shaundi
straightened up, and fought her tears back as she shakily began,
“I know we’ve been down this road before… and please stop me if
I sound stupid… but…” Shaundi paused to scan Evelyn’s facial
features, she was focused intently on Shaundi, those piercing
blue eyes of hers trying to decypher Shaundi’s emotions.
“Your comment back at the club… you said that you’ve been
missing out on so much… is that true? Are you…” Shaundi’s voice
broke before she continued again, “Unhappy with me? I mean, I
thought we cleared the air with this and-” Evelyn now looked
severely upset, her eyes now welling with tears as well. Evelyn
cut her off by her right index finger over Shaundi’s mouth, and
Evelyn began, her voice shakey, “Shaundi, I would never
intentionally say something like that… I was higher than a kite
on god knows what they gave me, I don’t remember half of what
happened at Safeword last night… all I remember is puking up
some green shit and clinging to you for dear life… I don’t
remember much after that, it’s all a blur…” Evelyn’s gaze
wandered as she tried desperately to recall some sort of memory
over what happened the night before, Shaundi could read it on
Evelyn’s face.
“I really don’t know what the fuck that drug was, all I remember
is feeling like shit. Shaundi, I would never risk loosing you…”
Evelyn’s voice broke as tears began to fall down her face. She
then continued, “I couldn’t live with myself if I chose
anything… anything at all, over you again.” Evelyn’s silent
tears turned to quiet sobs as the two fell into each other,
Shaundi knew now that Evelyn wasn’t on drugs again, it was just
whatever shit the “slave cocktail” was that was using her as a
puppet… Shaundi of all people should have really realized that
before her fear got the better of her.
Evelyn began again, “Do you really think I could do something
like that again?!” Evelyn then inquired her voice cracking in
the middle of it. The two where now buried in one another’s
embrace, and Shaundi shook her head, “No… it’s just…” Shaundi
cut off, then began again, “It scared me to hear you talk like
that, I was so scared Ev…I…” Shaundi’s voice broke, and Evelyn
calmed her down by patting her on the back slightly, in the
rhythm of a heartbeat.
Evelyn shushed her slightly, then continued, “Shaundi, you are
my world. Drugs don’t have a place in my life anymore, there’s
too much at risk now.” Evelyn then paused, then through her
tears she chuckled slightly, continuing, “Hey, you ever listen
to Ke$ha?” Shaundi nodded slightly, wondering where this was
going with that. “Your love is my drug now, baby.” that got
Shaundi to crack a smile and laugh a bit, Shaundi parted from
Evelyn and chuckled, “Ok, that was really corny.”
***
Four weeks later
***
The weeks after their little talk went smoothly, nothing much
happened except for a few errands for Kenzie, one of which
wasn’t a small errand at all, it happened to save her life.
Kenzie had gone outside, for once, and the Deckers tracked her.
Evelyn and Shaundi both went out to help get her back to her
crib, and since then, Kenzie hadn’t left the house.
The night before, Shaundi and Evelyn had gone on a date to one
of the nicest restaurants in Steelport, Pierce had recommended
it to them after he took Tamara there. Evelyn looked stunning in
an ankle length black dress with a large slit up the side, it
dipped low in the way of cleavage, but Evelyn had pinned it so
her boobs weren’t just hanging out. Evelyn’s hair was pulled up
into a high ponytail, her bangs framing her face beautifully.
The dress originally had sleeves, but Evelyn had it altered so
that it was a sleeveless dress, making it look all the more
beautiful on her. The dress showed most of her back, but stopped
before any of her ass showed. Shaundi wore a dress as well, hers
was a tight, purple knee length dress, with a corset-like belt
over the midsection. She wore her hair down, a pair of black
pumps accompanying the dress.
The next day after the date, Shaundi awoke in the early morning
to an unfamiliar noise, then as she grew more aware she
recognized it as coughing. Shaundi sat up quickly, and looked
around the room, to see the bathroom door pulled to and light
seeping from the crack underneath the door. Curious, Shaundi
stood and walked to the door, opening it slightly to see Evelyn
leaned over the toilet. Shaundi walked to her slowly, inquiring,
“What’s wrong baby?” Evelyn wasn’t laying directly on the toilet
bowl, her left forearm was draped loosely over the edge, she lay
her head there, her hair draped over the other side of her arm
to where it was out of her way. Evelyn shuddered all over as she
began, “I’m not feeling so hot… Must be what we ate last night…”
Shaundi sat next to Evelyn and rubbed her back slightly,
comforting her. “It’s ok, you feeling nauseous or something?”
Evelyn nodded as she suddenly turned her face towards the inside
of the toilet bowl and threw up, Shaundi scrambled to grab
Evelyn’s hair to save it from getting puked on. Evelyn leaned
back on her left forearm and motioned with her eyes to flush the
toilet, looking miserable. Shaundi reached towards the handle
and pulled it, sending the vile concoction of Evelyn‘s dinner
and stomach acid down the drain. Shaundi then dropped Evelyn’s
hair, letting it hang over her arm once more. Shaundi looked at
Evelyn’s beautiful trusses, they hung nearly to the floor, about
five inches separated the ends of it and the floor. They where a
deep brown in hue and absolutely luscious. Her hair was wavy,
the first thing Evelyn and Shaundi both did after the restaurant
last night was shower. Evelyn wondered aloud, “Don’t you feel
sick too?” Shaundi shook her head, “No, I had something
different than you did, remember?” Evelyn nodded ever so
slightly, then muttered, “Damn seafood…” Evelyn heaved once
more, and rushed to lean over the toilet bowl once more, Shaundi
once again catching Evelyn’s hair before it landed in the
toilet.
As Evelyn leaned back onto the rim of the toilet bowl, she
inquired, “Why patsy why?” At this, Shaundi smirked, “So, you’ve
forgotten my name already have you?” Evelyn fake chuckled, and
countered sarcastically, “It’s a figure of speech.” Shaundi
smirked, and kissed Evelyn on the cheek, “I love you.” Shaundi
whispered into Evelyn’s ear, making Evelyn smirk as she replied,
“Here I am puking my guts out and you tell me you love me? I
love you too baby girl.”
Once Evelyn’s puking spell was over, the two got ready for the
day ahead of them, much to Shaundi’s protest. “Ev, are you sure
you’re up to this?” Evelyn nodded as she leaned over the sink
to spit out the toothpaste, “Yeah, I’m fine now. We need to help
Z get the Morning Star in any way we can.” Evelyn then grabbed
the bottle of mouth wash and took a swig, re-capping it and
swishing it around in her mouth for a minute before spitting it
out too, using the water from the running faucet to rinse the
sink out. Evelyn cut the water off, then wiped her mouth with a
towel and smirked at Shaundi. Evelyn donned her usual pair of
boots, a pair of her combat pants, a purple t-shirt, and a pair
of fingerless gloves. She wore her hair down, as usual, with her
diamond studded earrings. Her nautical Star tattoo showed
effortlessly through Evelyn’s hair, a section of it was now
draped over her shoulder slightly.
Shaundi thought about helping Zimos for a moment, Angel and
Kenzie could use the same help, but whatever, if Evelyn wanted
to help Zimos, Shaundi would have to respect that. Not only
because Evelyn was Shaundi’s lover and partner in crime, but she
was still her boss. Shaundi nodded in agreement, then agreed
aloud, “Ok, let’s get ready and go.” Shaundi turned away from
Evelyn and began to walk back to the bedroom, mentally fuming
about having to see Zimos again after their last escapade, when
she remembered the magazine with her nude body on the cover.
“Oh! I need to show you something, close your eyes.” Shaundi
scurried back in front of Evelyn and grabbed the leather
satchel, ripping it open, and grabbing the magazine. Evelyn
smirked, “Ok then.” she did so, and Shaundi held the magazine in
front of Evelyn’s face. “Open.” Shaundi ordered, smirking
slightly. Shaundi wondered what Evelyn was going to think, but
she wasn’t worried. Evelyn opened her eyes, and looked at the
magazine cover, examining it for a minute before snatching it
into her hands and laughing, “You got on the cover of BoyBoy
magazine? Jesus when was this taken?” Evelyn was now sitting on
the bench beside the shower, laughing. Shaundi chuckled as she
sat next to Evelyn. “Apparently, it was spring break of College.
Z said he remembered taking the picture, but he, and I quote,
“Don’t know how many years ago. She cute right?”
Evelyn smirked as she looked at Shaundi, “He doesn’t know it was
you, does he?” Shaundi shook her head limply, her hair swinging
about her face loosely. “Nope. Not a clue.” Shaundi’s voice had
a tone of disappointment in it, or something that resembled it.
Shaundi, donning a black camisole, her purple bells, and her
usual pair of boots stood, and held out her hand, inquiring,
“Shall we malady?” Evelyn set the magazine down on the bench,
took Shaundi’s hand, and nodded, “We Shall, malady.”
***
On the way to Z’s pad
***
Evelyn’s cell phone rang, she pulled it out of her pocket and
answered, “Sup Z?” Shaundi could hear the unmistakable autotuned
voice of Zimos, “You checkin’ up on me?” Evelyn smirked as she
retorted, “You called me, idiot.” Zimos’ autotune hindered the
insulted tone he was going for slightly, but he still got his
point across with, “Well fuck you with something covered in
sandpaper too! I was wondering if you wanted to fuck up some
Morning Star with me.” Evelyn smirked, as did Shaundi, and she
agreed, “Like you need to-” Evelyn’s phone buzzed, and she
pulled it away from her ear to look at it, another call from an
unknown number was trying to go through. “Shit, one sec Z.”
Evelyn clicked the call over, and put it on speaker. “I don’t
have much time so listen carefully. There’s a shipment of girls
being brought in to replace the ones the Morning Star lost in a
raid by the Saints. I’ve sent you the coordinates of the ship
they’re on.”
Evelyn and Shaundi both wore confused looks upon their faces,
and Shaundi inquired, “Who is this?” The voice sounded familiar
in some way, but Shaundi couldn’t quite place it over the road
noise and cars honking at them. The voice replied, “Do what you
want with them, I don’t care.”
Evelyn then pulled the phone closer to her mouth and spat, “I’m
not doing shit with them until you tell me who the fuck you
are.” That got a response. The woman answered promptly, “Viola
DeWynter, head of the Morning Star.” There was a prompt click on
the other end of the line, and Shaundi’s head was spinning. “Did
that just happen?” Shaundi inquired, Evelyn looking almost as
perplexed as Shaundi.
The phone then clicked back over to Zimos, and Evelyn informed
in a sure tone, “Zimos, Change of plans. I don’t know what’ll
come of it, but meet Shaundi and I at the docks.” Shaundi could
practically see Zimos shrug, then he replied with, “Whatever you
say.”
Zimos then hung up, and Shaundi wondered aloud, “Humm… I wonder
what made Viola tip us off.” Evelyn shrugged, “Beats me… I think
things aren’t behooving the Syndicate after we killed Phillipe.”
Shaundi furrowed her brow and looked at Evelyn, “Behooving?
Since when are you my 10th grade chemistry teacher?” Evelyn
laughed, “Ok, you got me there… And wouldn’t that be OUR 10th
grade chemistry teacher? We had the same class for a semester or
so didn’t we?”
Shaundi thought back to Stilwater High… the hairbrained and
crazy Mr.Karter, his thinning hair and crazy attitude towards
life. He had a daughter… what was her name? Lili? Something like
that… anyways, Shaundi remembered the class too, Sitting next to
Evelyn at a generic lab table. The black surface littered with
shallow scratches and pencil graffiti, lots of hearts with
initials in them.
Shaundi then laughed, and in a fond tone of remembrance, Shaundi
recounted, “Yeah, yeah it was our only class together. Remember
that day that Mr. Karter poured alcohol on a table and lit it on
fire? We both wiped our hands through it, bringing some flames
with it. You joked and where all like, ’Flame on!” Evelyn
laughed as she nodded, “Yeah, I do remember something about that
now that you mention it. What about the time that Tina lit her
hair on fire?”

Shaundi thought back to chemistry again, and inquired,
“Which lab was it?” Evelyn thought for a moment too, and
answered, “The one where we where seeing what compounds burned
in different colors, I forgot what it was called though, he
named all the labs.” Shaundi suddenly remembered, a hairbrained
girl Tina who had long, beautiful blonde hair, was across the
room. Mr. Karter had suggested before they started the lab that
anyone with long hair tie it back, otherwise it could catch
fire. Tina didn’t want to put any creases in her hair that had
actually stayed straight that day, and merely tucked her long
trusses behind her ears, letting it trail down her back.
Shaundi smirked, then recounted aloud once more, “Tina leaned
over the burner and a piece of her bangs fell out from behind
her ear, catching the burner. That shit lit up like a Christmas
tree, and Lemmie tell you, it smelled awful, his room smelled
worse than burnt popcorn for a week.” Evelyn laughed, and
smirked, “Yeah, I remember that! Oh my gosh, Mr. Karter was
soooo mad.” Both laughed together, truly happy as a couple, and
in the back of Shaundi’s mind, she thought how right this felt.
***
At the docks
***
Shaundi stood next to Evelyn as Zimos approached, Shaundi
suddenly felt very stiff in Zimos’ presence, it was
uncomfortable to have him here. Evelyn and Shaundi where
standing, hands locked, fingers intertwined, on the sidewalk as
Zimos got out of the Boogie Bus and headed towards them. “Sup
Girl?” Zimos inquired to Shaundi as he walked past her, but
Shaundi retorted with, “Z, Don’t talk to me.” Zimos looked
frustrated as she said this, and he turned, retorting, “Is this
about the…” that was high on her shit list, but she was
referring to the pictures he’d snapped of her and sold to a
fucking magazine! “This is about spring break when I was in
college.” Shaundi briskly retorted, earning a small smirk from
Evelyn.
A look of remembrance washed over Zimos’ face, and Zimos
apologized, “Oh shit… I didn’t recognize you without the dreads…
I’m really sorry.” Shaundi nodded, “Uh huh.” She spat in a
sarcastic tone, earning a squeeze to her hand from Evelyn.
Evelyn then remarked, “Play nice.” Shaundi smirked as well,
pecking Evelyn on the cheek. The trio approached the railing of
the dock, and spied a tanker in the distance, piled high with
transport crates. Zimos pulled out a pair of binoculars, and
handed them to Evelyn. Evelyn let go of Shaundi’s hand, and
grabbed them, looking at the ship and grimacing slightly.
“Looottta pussy on that thing.” Zimos remarked, shooing away a
beggar inquiring if Zimos had any cigarettes. Zimos then lit a
cigarette, and stuck it in his throat hole, sucking in the
nicotine and making Shaundi gag a little. Evelyn handed the
binoculars to Shaundi, and remarked, “Let’s get aboard that
thing, I wanna meet my new employees.”
Shaundi looked through the binoculars quickly, she could see
Morning Star goons and Whores shoving scantily clad women into
shipping crates, counting the heads before they made port. Sick
bastards. Shaundi handed the binoculars off to Zimos before she
hurried after Evelyn, who was now mounting a Jet ski long enough
for the three of them to fit onto it. Shaundi sat behind Evelyn,
wrapping her left arm around Evelyn’s waist, and grabbing her
pistol out of her holster with her right. Zimos sat behind
Shaundi, but he didn’t grab onto her, he merely clung to the
edge of the seat. Smart move, seeing as Shaundi probably would
have shot Zimos if he lay a hand on her.
Evelyn started the engine of the Jet Ski, starting them off in
the direction of the cargo ship, and Evelyn being herself,
floored it, so to speak. Zimos made the snide comment, “We
takin’ our time getting’ there?” Evelyn then shot back, “You
wanna get off and swim?” Shaundi smirked at that, and Zimos
retorted, “Just checkin, sheesh.”
Within minutes, the trio was able to park the Jet Ski close to
the cargo ship and get off of it, then onto the ramp to board
the ship. Evelyn was aboard the ship first, followed closely by
Zimos, and Shaundi headed up the rear. Evelyn pulled her pistol
from the holster on her thigh, and motioned for Zimos to go
ahead first, ordering, “You and Shaundi locate the girls, I’ll
cover you.” Zimos nodded, then leveled his blinged out triple
barrel shotgun as he started towards the first container, as
well as a group of Morning Star troops. Evelyn began to follow
after Shaundi and Zimos, when she suddenly heaved once more,
rushing to the edge of the ship. Shaundi, taken off guard,
whipped her head back around to see Evelyn half slung off the
ship, puking once more. What the fuck? Shaundi thought to
herself, Evelyn couldn’t still be sick over the seafood she had
from last night.
Shaundi backed towards Evelyn, and lay a reassuring hand on her
back, her left hand holding her pistol and aiming down the deck,
she fired at any morning star she saw. She hit two in the chest,
and one in the knee. “God… I don’t know what’s with me today…”
Evelyn muttered, spitting out some remnants of her breakfast. “I
knew there was something wrong…” Shaundi muttered, taking her
hand off of Evelyn and steadying her gun, finishing the morning
star goon writhing on the ground over his knee. Zimos called,
“Yo Shaundi! I could use some help!” Shaundi considered telling
him that they had a situation on their hands, but Evelyn shook
her head and ordered, “Go, I’m good here.” Absolutely not! “No,
I can’t le-” Evelyn looked at Shaundi with that, “Do what I say
before I go postal” look in her eye, and repeated, “Go help
Zimos, I’m fine here, really.” Shaundi nodded, “Ok Ev, stay
safe.”
Shaundi, worry in her heart, set out after Zimos, looking into
the rows upon rows of shipping crates for a pimp in distress.
She found him after a brief search, he was surrounded by Morning
Star, all trying to hit him with the butts of their guns.
Shaundi fired one at a Morning Star whore, hitting her between
the shoulder blades. She then moved her gun to the right, fired,
and nailed the next Morning Star goon in the head. Zimos took
this opportunity to back away slightly, level his pimped out
shotgun, and fire, blowing away the remaining three Morning Star
that had formed the circle around him. Shaundi had to blink a
few times at how loud the shotgun was.
***
An hour later
***
Evelyn had moved farther down the ship, behind some cover, but
was still leaned over the side of the ship puking every few
minutes. Evelyn was crying, wondering why this was happening and
angry because she couldn’t be there to help Shaundi and Zimos.
Shaundi lay a comforting hand on her back, and reassured, “It’s
gonna be ok Ev, Pierce is on his way with the helicopter, I
think Tamara is with him.” Evelyn nodded, “Good, Maybe she can
help…” Evelyn trailed off as she heaved once more, puking again.
Shaundi winced slightly, patting Evelyn on the back and
squeezing her shoulder.
Zimos wandered over, the 15 or so girls in tow, and inquired,
“What’s wrong wit home girl?” Evelyn shot him a look, as did
Shaundi, and Shaundi answered, “We don’t know.” Zimos inquired,
“She get boat sick often?” Evelyn shook her head, and Zimos
furrowed his brow, “Get sick this morning too?” Evelyn nodded,
and Shaundi had a sinking feeling as to where he was going with
this. “Shit, ain’t nothin’ to worry ‘bout, She’s pregnant.”
Shaundi’s stomach lurched, and Evelyn shot him a “go to hell”
look, and spat, “In case you haven’t noticed, Shaundi doesn’t
have a penis.” Evelyn then heaved once more, hurrying to get her
head over the railing.
Zimos then clicked his tongue a few times, “Who you been
sleepin’ with girl?” Evelyn shot him another go to hell look,
and spat, “Nobody!” Shaundi was very confused, when could this
have happened? It certainly wasn’t her doing, when on earth
could this have happened? Shaundi racked her brain for times
that Evelyn could have gone out and fucked someone, then she
mentally kicked herself for assuming that Evelyn would go behind
her back and fuck some guy… what the hell was going on here?!?
Soon enough, Pierce showed up with the helicopter. “Get the
girls in the crate, we gotta move!” Pierce boomed through the
loudspeaker of the helicopter, hovering over an open crate on
the deck. Several of the girls protested, “No! Anything but the
box!” Or something along those lines, but Zimos managed to calm
them down enough to get them into the crate.
“Calm down baby, it’s only for a few minutes.” Zimos cooed to
one of the more reluctant girls, who then nodded and shuffled
into the crate, her makeup smeared and her hair disheveled.
Evelyn had gained enough strength to lean against Shaundi as
they made their way to the second Helicopter, this one piloted
by a random saint whom Shaundi had only seen a couple times, and
Tamara. “Hey ladies.” Tamara greeted, looking back at the two
women as they sat on the edge of the helicopter. Evelyn reached
for a gun, but then surged forward and puked once more, managing
to get it out of the helicopter. “What’s wrong with Evelyn?!”
Inquired Tamara as she stepped back into the hull of the
helicopter from the co-pilot’s seat. “She may be pregnant, we
don’t know for sure.” Shaundi whispered to Tamara bitterly, she
was livid. How on earth could this happen? Where would she have
found the time to screw someone?
Tamara looked taken aback as she helped Evelyn into the center
of the passenger area, starting to pull her into the seat but
Evelyn shook her head, “I need to lay down…” She protested
weakly, and Tamara frowned as she lay Evelyn in the center of
the passenger area. She then shut the door to the helicopter on
the left side. Shaundi sat on the edge of the right side, door
open, rifle hot, ready to shoot at any Morning Star that where
soon to show up. Tamara got back into the co-pilot’s seat and
radioed to the other chopper, “We ready to go Pierce? We gotta
get a move on quick, Ev ain’t feelin’ so hot.” Pierce’s concern
and confusion could be heard in his voice from the radio as he
inquired, “She hit?” Tamara shook her head, then replied, “No,
she may have eaten something that doesn’t agree with her, we
dunno yet.” Tamara then released the talk button and called back
to Shaundi, “Figured you didn’t want anyone to know till you’re
sure.”
Shaundi appreciated this, even though she was livid, she didn’t
want Evelyn’s reputation amongst the Saints smeared, nor her
own. Above all else though, Shaundi wanted Evelyn to be ok… Yes
she was pissed, but she wanted to hear how it could have
happened, Evelyn seemed taken aback by the whole thing as well.
Pierce then called back on the radio, “Ok, we’re re-” but he was
cut off as Morning Star helicopters, which Shaundi hadn’t seen
coming, bombarded the decks of the ship with missiles, barely
missing the helicopters. “Shit, we gotta bail otta here, NOW!”
Shaundi yelled, leveling her rifle at a helicopter that
attempted to pass in front of them. She got the two gunners
inside, and worked on the rotors. Three or four shots there, and
the rotary system exploded, dropping the helicopter to the deck
where the rest of the chopper blew up. Pierce’s helicopter
pulled the ho container off the deck of the ship, one of the
ho’s fell out, only to be caught by another brave ho who wasn’t
going to let her friend fall and be left. Several more ho’s
could be seen pulling at the ankles of the brave ho, none of
them seeming to be able to bring the fallen ho into the crate
yet.
Shaundi made a mental note to keep the crate free of missiles
and fire from other Morning Star, the last thing they needed was
more dead ho’s. Tamara and the Saint, who hadn’t uttered a word,
lifted their helicopter off the deck and began to raise in
altitude, Shaundi could already see the speedboats below, all
full of Morning Star. “Shaundi, use the Rocket Launcher.” Evelyn
called over the roar of the rotors, pointing to a rocket
launcher on it’s hooks on the back wall.
“Well shit, that’ll make things easier.” Shaundi joked as she
tossed her rifle aside, climbed into the helicopter, and grabbed
the rocket launcher off of it’s hooks, sitting back down on the
edge of the helicopter’s hull, her feet supporting her weight on
the landing bar. Shaundi fired at any speedboat she saw, loading
new rockets in after every shot. Thanks to Tamara, there was a
large crate of rockets now sitting next to Shaundi, all she had
to do was reach in and grab one.
***
Fifteen minutes later
***
The Saints, hos in tow, landed on Aripiche island, Evelyn and
Shaundi in a BPS shipping truck with the ho’s in the back.
Zimos, Pierce, and The Saint where all in the helicopters flying
them back to the Saint’s HQ, where they’d then be transported to
a hanger in the Airport. Evelyn was laying with her head in
Shaundi’s lap, laying across the seat the stretched the entire
cabin of the truck. “How you holding up Ev?” Shaundi inquired,
pumping the truck’s gas and shifting into first gear, letting
her foot off the clutch slowly.
Evelyn shook her head, “I feel like shit.” Shaundi wondered,
seriously, how this could have happened, and if Zimos was right
at all. “Is there even a remote chance that-” Evelyn cut Shaundi
off, “No! I haven’t slept with anyone… other than you that is.”
Shaundi smiled down at Evelyn slightly, that wasn’t where she
was going with that sentence. “I was going to ask if we could
make it out to the doctor to make for sure if you’re pregnant or
not.”
Evelyn, defeat in her voice, apologized, “Oh… Sorry…” Shaundi
took her hand off the gear shift as she accelerated slightly,
rubbing Evelyn’s head and comforting, “We’ll get it figured out
Ev, I promise.” Evelyn’s cell phone then rang, and Evelyn pulled
it out of her pocket slowly, snapping, “What?”
Shaundi could hear, despite the roar of the engine, a young
voice that sounded odd given the subject matter he was referring
to, “I believe you have something that belongs to me.” Evelyn
then spat into the phone, “Who is this?” The voice then replied,
“Someone who’s willing to bargain. Bring the girls back to the
Morning Star and I’ll pay you top dollar a head.” Evelyn looked
disgusted, then replied, “What’s the catch?” The voice defended,
“That’s all I’m asking.” Evelyn then hung up, only to have Zimos
call her in the next second. “Some Morning Star Bitch call ya?”
Evelyn nodded, “I guess… he was asking if he could buy the girls
back.” Zimos then replied, indignantly, “I can’t do my thing if
I got no pussy to sell. The money won’t come quick but you bet
it’ll come.” Shaundi rolled her eyes, then inquired, “How do you
wanna play it, Ev?” Evelyn thought for a moment before replying,
“Bring them to Z’s place, he’s here for a reason.” Evelyn then
replied to Zimos, “Z, you’re here for a reason, get to pimpin’
those girls.”

Wow! Of all my time on here reading everyones works, I dont
think anyone has put as much devotion into one story more than
your, every sentace and paragraph are great and timed
excellently!
But personally my excitement for this story is kinda fizzling
out, its gotta be because I'm not all hyped out for SR anymore
since the game took a turn for the worse. So excuse me for not
being as attended to this story as I would like to be, because
all the work you put into this should not go unnoticed!

Thanks... and yeah, I'm a bit upset with the way the game's
turned out, I almost wish they'd re-do SR3 and sidestep the
whole story... sure I'd have to re-write half of Shaundi's Side,
but I honestly would be happier if they went back to their roots
with it.

Just as Shaundi was about to say something to comfort
her, a man in his late fifties walked in. “Hello Ms. Saunders, I
hear you could possibly have a bun in the oven.” Evelyn nodded,
and Shaundi sat down in a chair next to the exam table, still
holding Evelyn’s hand. Evelyn then replied to the doctor, “Yeah,
and I’m with her,” Evelyn paused to squeeze Shaundi‘s hand as
well as nod in her direction, then continued, “Unless science
has changed and women can get each other pregnant, I’m missing
something here.”
The doctor looked taken aback, “Wait, you’re saying you where
raped?” Shaundi’s stomach churned at the word, and Evelyn
shrugged, “I honestly don’t know. I don’t remember a rape, but
at this point it’s the only explination I can think of because I
haven’t gone out and fucked anyone except for her.”
The doctor’s hair was salt and pepper and slicked back, he then
ran his hands through his hair, sighing. “I can run a few tests
to see if you really are pregnant, a blood test and a Urine
test, the results should be back fairly quickly.” Evelyn then
stuck her right arm out, and ordered, “Take my blood and give me
something to pee in.” The doctor chuckled as he crossed the room
to a sink, washing his hands and saying, “I like your spunk
Ms.Saunders, you seem like a person in a position of power, yet
you haven’t let it go to your head.” Evelyn blushed slightly,
“I’ve got Shaundi to ground me.” Evelyn winked at Shaundi,
smiling.
Shaundi blushed, making Evelyn chuckle a little bit. The doctor
then shut the water off and dried his hands on a paper towel.
Once he’d finished, he opened a drawer next to the sink and
pulled out a vial with a tube and needle attached to it. As he
turned to walk back, he remembered to grab an alcohol swab,
walking back across the room to the two.
He tore open the small package and took out the small towelette,
swabbing her arm slowly, wanting to be thurough. He then tossed
the alcohol swab aside, and grabbed the vial with the needle. He
poked it into Evelyn’s arm, and Shaundi watched as the tube
filled with blood, the blood then gurgling into the tube. Evelyn
muttered, “That’s kinda gross.” The doctor chuckled, “I had one
woman faint on me the other day, you aren’t gonna faint are
you?” Evelyn shook her head, then in a joking tone she informed,
“Fuck no, you know the shit I’ve been through? I can handle a
little blood.” The doctor smirked as the vial finished filling,
he turned a little shutoff valve, and pulled the needle out of
Evelyn‘s arm, pulling the tube out of the vial.
He then inquired, “How long have you been with the Saints,
exactly? Or did you start them back in Stilwater?” Evelyn shook
her head, “No, A man named Julius saved my life, I thought I’d
return the favor and help the city. Turns out he was trying to
clean up the city, then take out the only remaining gang, The
Saints. He tried to kill me in a yacht bombing… but it only put
me in a coma.” The doctor looked taken aback, “You’re joking
right? You have no scarring from the burns you must have gotten,
plastic surgery?” Evelyn nodded, “They must’ve done it before I
was out of the coma, I don’t remember any scars.”
The doctor looked impressed, walking over to the counter and
writing on a sticker, then putting the sticker on the vial and
grabbing a plastic cup with a lid. “Now, if you’ll pee in here,
I’ll take that and the blood to the lab, then we’ll get your
results back to you.” Evelyn nodded and gestured for Shaundi to
help her off the table, not wanting to induce another spell of
extreme nausea. Shaundi stood, and helped her off the table,
Evelyn stretching slightly and grabbing the cup. “Bathroom?”
Evelyn inquired, and the doctor pointed to the door on the wall
behind Evelyn. “Right, I knew that.” Evelyn then walked through
the door and shut it, locking it behind her.
Shaundi sat in the chair, looking around the room. It was your
typical exam room, nothing much to see, so Shaundi shifted her
focus to the doctor. He looked to be in his fifties, with salt
and pepper hair. He was a bit scruffy in the way of facial hair,
5 O’clock Shadow being the style of choice. He wore a white lab
coat with a pair of black slacks and loafers, a grey button up
shirt and purple tie beneath the lab coat. Within a few minutes,
Evelyn emerged from the bathroom with the cup, thankfully with
the lid on it, full of pee. She quickly handed it to the doctor,
inquiring, “So… about how long till the tests get back?” The
doctor looked away in thought, then looked back and answered,
“About an hour or so, do you want to stay here and chill out, or
go ahead and leave?” Evelyn looked at Shaundi for her approcal,
and Shaundi reassured, “Whatever you wanna do baby.” Evelyn
looked back at the doctor, and replied, “I think we’ll stay… if
you don’t mind.”
The doctor, both Vial and cup in hand, shook his head, “Not at
all. I’ll see you two in about an hour.” Evelyn nodded, and as
the doctor walked out she called, “I didn’t catch your name!”
The doctor caught the door, and replied, “Dr. Jay Marten, at
your service.” He then grinned a sly smile at the two of them,
and walked out, letting the door shut behind him. “So he’s Doc
Marten? Like the boot brand?” Shaundi observed, smirking. Evelyn
chuckled, “I knew there was a reason I loved that brand.”
Shaundi smirked, and pulled out her phone, “Music?” She
inquired, looking at Evelyn with a small smile. Evelyn nodded,
“You have any Rihanna?” Shaundi nodded, going to her play list
and searching through until she found Rihanna, “Which album? We
found love, a girl like me, or Loud?” Evelyn smirked, “I wanna
listen to S&M, that song cracks me up.” Shaundi smirked as she
clicked on the song, the opening chords playing through the
phone’s impressive speakers for their size.
Evelyn was now sitting back on the exam table, bobbing around
slightly like she was dancing. Shaundi looked at her with
amusement, Chuckling under her breath. “What? Never seen someone
dance to this song?” Evelyn inquired, taking on a tone of mock
indignation. Shaundi, sure, had seen other people dance to this
song, but in all their years of dating, Shaundi had never really
seen Evelyn dance. True, she was just bobbing around and
probably trying not to throw up at the moment, it was a side of
Evelyn that Shaundi had never really seen before. “Just looking
at how damn cute you are.” Shaundi replied, smirking as she then
danced around a bit, phone in hand.
***
An hour later
***
The couple had eventually settled against each other on the exam
table, the brown cushion and the white paper over it not exactly
comfy, but better than the stupid chair that sat next to the
exam table. Just when Shaundi was about to get up and see where
their doctor was, the door opened to reveal Dr. Marten once
more. “The results are in… and you are sitting down which is
good… Ms. Saunders, you are indeed pregnant.”
All signs of the goofy Evelyn that Shaundi had seen before where
now gone, Shaundi’s stomach dropped, she felt like she was about
to throw up as well. Evelyn’s eyes watered and she inquired,
“How far along is it?” The doctor flipped through some papers,
and answered, “It’s about four weeks along or so, give or take a
few days… That should give you a time frame for when this could
have happened.” Evelyn looked as though she was recalling a
memory, when suddenly her face donned with rememberance. “Oh
god…” Evelyn muttered, her voice trailing off as her head
slumped towards Shaundi, Shaundi barely aware enough to catch
her and inquire, “What is it?”
Evelyn began sobbing, Shaundi wrapped her arms around Evelyn and
comforted her, “Hey, It’s ok Ev, when did it happen? What’s
going on?” Evelyn continued to sob, until she gained the
strength to mutter, “f-four weeks ago, w-we went to Safeword…
remember?” A sickening feeling washed over Shaundi, Dr. Marten
got a weirded out look on his face, and Shaundi explained, “Not
for pleasure, we went to help a friend.” He held his hands up in
an, “I don’t wanna know.” Gesture, and set the results down on
the counter by the sink, carefully excusing himself from the
room. Evelyn continued to sob and cry, Shaundi hugging her and
kissing her cheek, trying desperately to comfort her out of this
rut. Shaundi was trying to figure out what could have happened
at Safeword… Shaundi halfway hoped that she tripped in the
dungeon with her clothes off or something, the floors in there
where covered in bodily fluids, but Shaundi knew that wasn’t the
case.
***
That night
***
Evelyn sat with her legs drawn up to her chest, her arms wrapped
around them, staring blankly at the wall of windows in the
Saint’s HQ. “Yo, what’s yo problem girl?” Inquired A saint as he
walked by, earning a sturn look from Evelyn. “Mah bad dog, I’ll
leave you guys alone…” He then hurried off to another part of
the HQ, not looking back. Evelyn then spoke softly, “I was
alone for a while before you guys could find me, right?” Shaundi
nodded, “About an hour, I think.” Evelyn squeezed her eyes shut,
trying to think. “Damn it… whatever they gave me made that whole
night a blur, I barely even remember getting into the van after
Zimos recruiting us to this.”
Shaundi blinked, “Damn… what do we wanna do? Just see where this
goes, or do we wanna know what happened?” Evelyn shuddered
slightly as she answered, “I need to know… I’m thinking we call
Oleg again… it worked before, right?” Shaundi nodded, she liked
the idea, but it also scared her, what if the hypnosis brought
back bad memories that Evelyn didn’t need to see? “Will you call
him?” Inquired Evelyn, looking over at Shaundi, looking and
sounding depressed and pathetic.
“I’ll call him…”Shaundi answered, pulling out her phone and
searching through the contacts until she found a picture of
Oleg. She clicked the talk button, and after two or three rings
Oleg answered, “I finally got a phone big enough for me to use.
Anyhow, What is it, my friend?” Normally, Shaundi would have
smirked at this, but given the circumstances, she wasn’ in a
very smirk-ey mood. “Hey, we need you to come by the crib big
guy, we need you to hypnotize Evelyn again.” Oleg sounded taken
aback and curious as he inquired, “More teen-hood memories need
unlocking?” Shaundi shook her head, then answered, “No… more
recent suppressed memories need unlocking.” Oleg’s tone got very
grim as he answered, “I will be there soon, friend.”
Oleg then hung up, leaving Shaundi with a dead end and many
questions, questions on Evelyn, questions on how this actually
happened, questions on what they where going to do… Shaundi
didn’t relize how long she’d been sitting there thinking, when
she heard the elevator doors ding open, and seeing the hulking
form of Oleg march through the crib. “Shall we begin?” Oleg
inquired kneeling in front of the couch where Shaundi and Evelyn
both sat. Evelyn nodded, and Oleg inquired, “So, is there any
time in particular that needs unlocking?”
Evelyn and Shaundi both nodded, and Evelyn announced, “Four
weeks ago, give or take a few days, when we went to Safeword.”
Oleg looked confused, but shook it off and ordered, “Ok. First
off, I need you to lay down Evelyn, It helps.” Evelyn nodded,
uncurling herself from her current position and swiveling to
where she was laying on the leather cusions of the couch,
Shaundi sitting next to Evelyn’s legs. Oleg then began, “Good.
You will close your eyes and breathe deeply. You will feel
tired… succumb to this feeling, embrace it. Now, you are safe,
Evelyn. Whatever you see has already happened and you cannot be
hurt. It, in a way, is not real. Now, I want you to go to the
first moment you where taken into Safeword, what do you see?”
Evelyn’s eyes looked as though she was dreaming, they where
darting back and forth as though she was in a deep sleep. “What
do you see?” Oleg inquired once more, not getting a response
from Evelyn. “Is that normal?” Shaundi inquired to Oleg,
slightly concerned now. “Yes and No. With a woman of Evelyn’s
position, Yes, You nor Her spoke when I hypnotized you last
time. Asking her what she sees just helps her get along with the
process.” Shaundi nodded, slightly confused.

DIR By: Amaris

---------------------------------------------------------
“I want you to go through that night as it happened, watch every
detail, Evelyn, listen to every sound and feel every sensation.
Observe everything…” Shaundi’s stomach lurched, Shit! They
didn’t tell him why they where going back there! “Oleg…” Shaundi
muttered, trying to get his attention. “Humm?” He inquired,
looking at Evelyn intently. “Is there a way to counter act the
whole ‘feel every sensation thing’? Kinda important that happens
before-” Shaundi stopped herself as Evelyn began fidgeting more.
Evelyn’s eyes began to dart back and forth underneath her closed
eyelids with even more speed, like she was watching a tennis
game on speed or something. Her hands would clench into fists
every few seconds, her legs squirming about a bit, but not so
much as a peep was heard from her. Oleg suddenly spoke again,
“Evelyn, I want you to stop remembering. Come back to the
present, come back, four weeks to the future to today, you are
safe, that is in the past and you are safe… Come back.”
At Oleg’s final words, Evelyn’s eyes snapped open, she flew into
a sitting position and clawed at her stomach, “That fucker!” She
screamed, tears running down her face, her hands where shaking,
her whole body was rigid, like she was just thrown into very
cold water or something. “Evelyn what’s wrong?!” Shaundi
inquired quickly, holding her hands out to Evelyn to hug her
and calm her down. Evelyn slapped Shaundi’s hands away and stood
up, kicking the coffee table with so much force that it
shattered, Muttering something about some morning star scum.
“Evelyn what did you see?” Oleg called after Evelyn, who was now
making her way around the crib, looking for something, or so it
seemed. Evelyn grabbed a white porcelain vase, and threw it at
one of the windows with so much force that it and the window
shattered, startling several of the Saints that where
downstairs.
Evelyn’s face was flushed red, Shaundi knew it was rage, and
that there was no stopping whatever she was going to do now. It
pained Shaundi to see Evelyn like this, screaming and throwing
every breakable thing she lay eyes on. Evelyn had gotten to
several Tv’s and other breakable things within minutes, and Oleg
was after her trying to calm her down. Evelyn had found a bat
somewhere, and was approaching the computer room and
entertainment area, Oleg then rushed through the doorway to the
computer room and stood in her path. Evelyn yelled at Oleg, “Out
of my fucking way!” She tried to move past him, moving too
quickly, and a wave of Nausea overcoming her. Evelyn then
clutched her stomach and knelt to the floor, Shaundi now rushing
to her side. “Evelyn, come on let’s get you upstairs.” Evelyn
nodded, tears streaming down her face, “Hurry.”
Shaundi grabbed one of Evelyn’s arms and threw it over her
shoulder, standing up and walking Evelyn up the stairs and to
their room, not stopping by the bed or anything, straight to the
bathroom. Once they where in front of the toilet, Evelyn threw
up once more, Shaundi looking away slightly as she helped Evelyn
down to her knees.
Evelyn assumed the same position she’d been in that morning, her
left forearm pillowing her cheek, her hair draped over the other
side and out of the way. Evelyn was crying heavily now, Shaundi
was trying to work up the nerve to ask her what she saw when
Evelyn started, “Shaundi… I was raped by some Morning Star guys…
I can still feel their hands all over me…” Evelyn sobbed
heavily, Shaundi rubbing her back slightly, trying not to cry as
well. Evelyn then continued, “They where trying to keep me
still… I… I feel so violated… I just…” Evelyn trailed off,
squeezing her eyes shut, then opening them quickly, Shaundi felt
a pang of remorse, she’d let this happen, she had let Evelyn go
in there alone… she’d helped agree to Zimos’ stupid plan… this
was her fault too!
Shaundi’s eyes began to water, Shaundi didn’t even try to keep
her tears restrained anymore, they poured down her cheeks,
Shaundi and Evelyn both crying their eyes out now. Shaundi was
holding Evelyn’s right hand in both of hers, both of them
sobbing and both of them looking absolutely pathetic. After a
while, the sobs subsided, the two women just sat there staring
at the walls, both with hurt and drained expressions on their
faces. “Shaundi…”Slowly began Evelyn, her eyes shifting from a
spot on the wall to her. “Humm?” Shaundi inquired, her eyes too
shifting over. “What are we going to do?” Evelyn questioned
hopelessly, a tone of hurt and sorrow in her voice. Shaundi
thought this over carefully, her first instinct was to take
Evelyn back to the hospital and have an abortion immediately…
that rapist’s baby didn’t deserve to live, it was just that, a
rape baby. If they got rid of it now, maybe it wouldn’t be so
hard for Evelyn to deal with…. Shaundi felt horrible for
thinking that way, she felt like a royal bitch thinking it, let
along saying it. Shaundi then thought carefully as she replied
with a question, “Abortion?” Evelyn quickly shook her head,
wringing her right hand from Shaundi’s grip and shielding her
stomach defensively. “No…” Evelyn gasped, shaking her head once
more.
Shaundi’s heart hurt, Evelyn took her hand away from Shaundi to
protect that… thing? The only evidence of Evelyn’s rape, the
only evidence of Evelyn being defiled? What the hell? Shaundi’s
confusion must have been apparent on her face as Evelyn
carefully explained, “Shaundi… I was raped at Safeword, that was
four weeks ago, correct?” Shaundi nodded, wondering where the
fuck she was going with this. “So… it’s been four weeks…“
Pathetically, Evelyn continued, “Shaundi, the baby has a
heartbeat… it’s alive. It has a heartbeat…” Evelyn’s tears
continued to pour as she continued, “Shaundi it’s an innocent,
we can’t kill it… It’s a child who hasn’t had a chance to live
yet.” Shaundi thought about Evelyn’s words as she spoke them,
letting them sink into her head and set there for a second. The
more Shaundi thought about it, the more Evelyn’s argument made
sense, and the more Shaundi felt like a royal bitch for even
thinking that way.
The more Shaundi thought about it, the even more clouded her
judgement became… her initial response to the baby was that it
was an abomination defiling her Evelyn… that was pure anger over
the rape that did it. Now, Shaundi felt like a bitch for not
thinking of it the way Evelyn was, here she was having just
relived her rape, yet she can wrap her head around the fact that
it’s an innocent baby… one that didn’t choose to be developed
this way. Shaundi’s head was unclear, the anger over the rape
still hung over her, yet the hurt over Evelyn saying she wanted
to keep the baby, and the fact that it was an innocent all
whirled around her head, making her head hurt slightly.
“So… we’re keeping the baby because it’s not the baby’s fault?”
Shaundi managed to inquire after a moment, wondering aloud.
Evelyn nodded, “We can take our anger out on the rapist once we
find him… I don’t think I’d stand to look at me in the mirror if
I killed a baby… a child… my child.” These final words gave
Shaundi the chills, this was a lot for her to take in.
Shaundi then thought about being a mom, she couldn’t
realistically see them parenting AND being in the Saints,
there’d be no way… it’d be irresponsible for the sake of raising
a child in that environment, plus with the way things have been
going, they might be killed before Evelyn could deliver or
anything… “You know what this means for us… right?” Shaundi
inquired, looking over at Evelyn. Evelyn looked slightly
panicked as she analyzed, “What do you mean?” Shaundi mentally
kicked herself for her wording, then rephrased, “You know what
this means for us and the Saints… right?” Evelyn’s expression
grew even more somber than Shaundi thought possible, and Evelyn
was quiet for a moment. “We’d have to leave the Saints, it’s the
only way…” Evelyn’s tone then grew more sure as she announced,
“We’ll leave the Saints if everything goes right, if we weren’t
willing to do that then we shouldn’t do this… Shaundi, are you
willing to make that sacrifice?”
Shaundi thought about it for a split second before answering,
“Of course… as long as I’m with you I’ll be fine.” It was true,
Shaundi’s number one fear was loosing Evelyn again, after all
they’d been through they deserved to be happy… right? The more
Shaundi thought about this, the less it seemed real and the more
it felt like a bad dream… Evelyn was raped and it got her
pregnant… with the rapist’s child, and she was keeping it
because it wasn’t the child’s fault and it has a heartbeat?
What? “Ev… This is going to sound really stereotypical for this
situation, but I need some time to clear my head… I should be
back soon.” Evelyn nodded, then with a tone of understanding
Evelyn answered, “It’s understandable… I’ll be fine, just go for
a drive or something.” Shaundi nodded as she leaned towards
Evelyn, kissing her on the cheek, then whispered, “I love you…
so much.” Evelyn smiled weakly, getting up and hugging Shaundi.
“I love you too.” Evelyn whispered, kissing Shaundi’s cheek as
well.
Shaundi smiled reassuringly as she turned and walked out of the
bathroom, then walked through the bedroom and out the bedroom
door, into the now crowded crib. “Fuck.” Shaundi muttered under
her breath, walking down the set of stairs closest to her and
muttering once more, “Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!” This was too
weird, Evelyn was keeping it! What was she thinking, just
because it was an “innocent” She was keeping the thing? The only
evidence of her rape aside from her memories? Shaundi shook her
head as she turned the corner around the staircase, walking
strongly towards the elevator doors. “Shaundi!” Called Oleg as
he walked towards her, inquiring, “Is Evelyn all right?” Shaundi
nodded, “Yeah, I just need some air… I’ll be back in an hour or
so.” Shaundi lied, she wasn’t going to be back in an hour… the
“or So” was more suitable.
Oleg nodded, “Be careful out there, some of the Saints where
chattering about how the Morning Star are all over the city
tonight.” Shaundi nodded, “Thanks big guy.” Shaundi then turned
once more and approached the elevator, pressing the down button
and waiting impatiently before the doors opened. Shaundi stepped
into the elevator quickly, turning and pressing the garage
button. Shaundi backed up until her back hit the wall of the
elevator, her hands bracing herself on the wall behind her. The
elevator doors slid shut, and Shaundi closed her eyes, feeling
stressed and emotionally pained.
The elevator dinged, and Shaundi opened her eyes to reveal the
parking garage ahead of her. Shaundi exited the elevator, and
dug around in her pockets for her keys, finding them after a
brief search. She walked to her Hammerhead and unlocked the
driver’s side door, slid into the driver’s seat, and shut the
door behind her. Her hands where shaky as she stuck the key in
the ignition, twisting the key sharply, the engine roaring to
life.
Shaundi opened the console next to her, grabbing her CD case and
pulling it out into her lap. Shaundi unzipped the square leather
case, flipping it open and starting to flick through her CD’s.
Shaundi didn’t know what she was in the mood for, party music
was definitely out the window though. Evanescence? Maybe…
Disturbed? No… Three doors down? Nah… Aerosmith? Maybe… why was
this so difficult?!? Shaundi closed her eyes and set her head
against her headrest, flipping through her CD case blindly and
pulling out a random CD, sticking it in the CD player. She
closed her CD case and tossed it into the passenger seat,
pressing the play button and wondering what sounds would pour
out of her tricked out speakers. Shaundi turned the volume up a
bit, to hear hard techno music… wait, no it was Dubstep. “It’ll
do.” Shaundi muttered throwing the car in reverse and backing
out of her parking space, throwing it into gear and flying out
of the garage, her hands tightly wrapped around the wheel.
Shaundi, at this point, didn’t even know where the hell she was
going, she was just driving fast and steering around traffic…
where she ended up was a mere afterthought to Shaundi. A baby…
not their baby, an intruder. Shaundi’s thoughts ranged from
mildly rude to downright awful as she drove, wondering what the
hell her problem was as she thought these dreadful things.
Still speeding down the road, Shaundi began to recognize her
surroundings as her manic frenzy of thoughts and threats towards
Evelyn’s rapist subsided, she was by her old place. Shaundi
smirked slightly, you’ve gotta love the way the mind works.
Shaundi pulled up to the curb, and pressed the garage door
button on her sun visor, opening the garage and allowing her to
pull in smoothly.
Shaundi put her car into park, then opened her door and began to
walk out of the garage, the door shutting automatically after
her. Shaundi moved about three or so feet to the left, turning
and opening the door into the apartment building. Immidiately to
her right, was a set of ragged looking stairs, to the left was a
hallway with a mattress and a few crates blocking it. Shaundi
started up the staircase, her heels echoing around the quiet
space on the wooden old steps.
As she reached the final step, Shaundi pulled her keys out of
her pocket once more and thumbed through them, finding the one
for this place. She found it eventually, sticking the key into
the lock and twisting, the sounds following where several
clicks. She then turned the key back to the right slightly,
pulled the key out, and opened the door, revealing the crib to
be just as messy as the day they’d left. Shaundi smiled slightly
as she stepped into the apartment and closed the door behind
her, flipping the deadbolt and throwing her keys down on the
table a few feet to the left of the door.
Shaundi ran her hands through her hair as she made her way to
the couch, picking up the remote as she sat down, turning on the
TV to the local news. “-Several containers leaking something
described as, ‘smelling like urine.’ This is Jane Valderama,
with your Steelport import update.” Shaundi smirked slightly as
she changed the channel, trying to find something light hearted
or funny. After she’d surfed all of the basic cable channels,
seeing nearly nothing but her own show and Professor Genki’s
Super Ethical Reality Climax, Shaundi gave up, turning the TV
off and laying back on the couch, running another hand through
her hair.
Shaundi leaned forward slightly, she had a sudden urge for
sleep, it’d been a long day, and a tiring one at that. Shaundi
pulled her right pants leg up, and unzipped her mid-calf length
boot, pulling it off and setting it down next to the coffee
table. She repeated this process with the second one, standing
up and pulling off her true-fit jeans as well as her T-shirt,
dropping them all in a pile by the coffee table. Shaundi sat
back down on the couch, peeling her socks off as well, looking
around for a blanket to go and get. She eventually found one
draped across the back of the couch, so she pulled it close to
her and lay down, her head resting on a small pillow by the arm
of the couch.
Why Evelyn? Why now? Why’d it have to be her? Why couldn’t
Shaundi have gone in with her? Why?! Shaundi’s brain processed
these thoughts and similar for what seemed like hours, until
Shaundi’s thoughts slowed to a trickle, and she fell into a
state of unconciousness, a dark, dreamless sleep.
