Hey guys! Sorry for the wait, I got busy with well, real life.
       XD
       The Funeral of A Saint
“David, get in here.” Ordered Evelyn over the phone, sitting at
her new desk in the former Syndicate Tower‘s board room. “What
are you thinking about, Ev?” asked Shaundi as Evelyn hung up the
phone. “I’m thinking we send someone in to infiltrate the
Syndicate, that’s what I’m thinking.” Shaundi was taken aback,
was Evelyn really thinking about doing this? And she was going
to send David? He was, without a doubt, one of their best men,
what if he was discovered? He had Saints tattoos all over the
place too, no way he could cover them all up all the time. “How
the fuck is that going to work Ev? David has Saints tats
everywhere.” Evelyn smiled wryly, and answered seductively as
she stood and walked towards Shaundi, “We stage a reason why
he’d want to leave the Saints.”
Evelyn wore a knee length purple dress with slightly platformed
stiletto heels, her hair was down, framing that oh-so-beautiful
face of hers. “How?” Asked Shaundi as Evelyn stood
intoxicatingly close, Shaundi wondered what kind of Perfume
Evelyn was wearing, it smelled like bottled angel tears or
something, it was amazing. “We rough him up a bit, bust a lip
and leave some bruises, but explain what we wanna do first, of
course.” Shaundi screwed up her face In thought, “Would he go
for something like that?” Evelyn shrugged, “We’re about to find
out, aren’t we?” She said wryly as the double doors opened, to
reveal David, in all of his Muscular, Tattooed, 6’2” glory. “You
rang?” Said David smartly, closing the door behind him and
walking up to Shaundi and Evelyn.
Evelyn shook David’s hand, then gestured for him to take a seat
at the conference table across the room. “So what’s this about,
Boss?” Inquired David as he took a seat and leaned back,
propping his feet up on the marble table. Evelyn and Shaundi
took seats across from him, and Evelyn began, “David, you’re one
of our best, and that being said, I have an assignment for you.
” David leaned forward slightly, pulling his feet off the table.
He leaned forward more, and set his hands crossed on the table.
He then smiled slightly and said, “I’m all ears.”
Evelyn smiled, then proposed, “I need someone to get close to
the Syndicate, and with your skill set, I think you would be the
perfect man for the Job.” David furrowed his brow. “Boss, I’ve
got saints tattoos all over the damn place, how would that
work?” Evelyn’s smile faded slightly, then encouraged, “This is
the part where you need to be loyal to the Saints, and willing
to sacrifice anything for us… We’d need to stage a reason for
you to want to leave the Saints.” David cocked his head to the
side slightly, “Go on.” an intent edge in his voice.
Evelyn glanced at Shaundi, a slightly pained look on her face.
“We need to stage a beating. We’d need to bruise you up a bit,
make it look like I went off the handle on you for stupid shit
or something, make the Syndicate believe that you where betrayed
somehow.” David leaned back a bit, chuckling slightly. “That’s
just fucked up enough to work… I’m in!” He paused, laughing
slightly, and Evelyn looked relieved, “Just go easy on the face,
I need it.” Evelyn and Shaundi both chuckled, “Will do, may give
you a black eye though, just for effect.”
David chuckled, “So when are we gonna do this?” Evelyn leaned
back in her chair, then said, “After the funeral… we don’t need
any Saints behind enemy lines before then.” Evelyn paused, then
said, “You can go now, David. Just be ready for the funeral.” He
nodded as he stood up, “Yes Ma’am, I’ll see you later.” As he
walked out he nodded to Shaundi, turning and closing the door
       behind him.
       ***
       Later that day
       ***
“Shaundi, you almost ready?” Inquired Evelyn, putting her
earrings on and brushing her bangs back. Evelyn wore a black
blazer with a low cut purple vest underneath it, a pair of black
slacks, and a pair of heels. They where going back to Stilwater…
unfortunately, it was for Johnny’s funeral. Shaundi’s eyes
brimmed with tears, they where putting Johnny Gat, the greatest
friend to Shaundi in the past six years, in the ground next to
his wife, Aisha. Shaundi thought back to the day Aisha died, She
still could recall every last detail. The blood spatter on her
face. Aisha’s headless body falling to the ground… The hurt and
furious look on Johnny’s face when he opened the door. Shaundi
shook the thoughts away as Evelyn set her hand on Shaundi’s
shoulder. “Shaundi?” She inquired, a concerned edge in her
voice. “I’m fine.” Shaundi reassured, pasting on a slight
smile. Evelyn knelt down next to her and asked, “What is it?”
Shaundi looked at Evelyn, she was beautiful, she had a bit more
makeup on than usual… “Are our parents going to be there?”
Inquired Shaundi inquired, trying to change the subject. Evelyn
nodded, “Yeah, Gat’s dad is supposed to make an appearance too.
Now what’s wrong?” Shaundi sighed, “What do you think is wrong
Ev? We’re going back to Stilwater to bury Johnny, I’m not even
going to bother with eye makeup.”

Evelyn nodded, then wrapped Shaundi in a tight hug. “See, was
that so hard?” Shaundi smirked slightly, Evelyn had a point.
“No…” Evelyn kissed Shaundi on the cheek, then smiled, “You look
amazing.” Shaundi smiled slightly, “Thanks.” Shaundi stood,
deciding this was good as it was going to get. Shaundi wore a
black button up shirt that was quite form fitting, with a tight
dark purple blazer over it. She wore a pair of black slacks and
her usual boots, she also wore a silver pendant her father had
given her, she’d found it in a box of stuff that was shipped
       over from Stilwater.
“Ready to go?” Shaundi asked, and Evelyn nodded, “Yeah, we have
a private plane set up and waiting at the airport, we’re
supposed to meet our parents at the airport.” Shaundi smiled at
the thought of seeing her mother again, she hadn’t seen her
since before she left for Steelport… she’d been so busy with I
wanna sleep with Shaundi, as well as living the life with
Evelyn, to see her mother every day. She talked with her before
going to bed usually, but with how crazy things had been lately,
no contact. Shaundi was ready for one of her mother’s hugs, she
       missed her so much.
       ***
       Half an hour later
       ***
“Please fasten your seatbelts for takeoff, we’ll be in Stilwater
before you guys know it. Just kick back, relax, and enjoy the
flight.”, ordered the captain over the loudspeaker as the
engines of the private jet powered to life. Shaundi clicked her
seatbelt, then looked out the window of the plane. The airport
here in Steelport was nice, but Shaundi still preferred the one
back in Stilwater… maybe she just preferred Stilwater period,
after all, it was home. Evelyn clicked hers as well, and set her
hand on Shaundi’s leg. Shaundi looked over, and evelyn smiled
slightly. Shaundi returned the smile, and kissed Evelyn on the
cheek. Tamara, who sat across the table from them, cooed, “Aaw,
you two are so cute together.” Jane, who sat next to Tamara,
smiled and agreed, “Yeah, you guys remember that night that you
hooked up? I knew then that it would totally last.”
Evelyn smiled, then blushed slightly and asked, “How much of
that night did you guys see?” Tamara chuckled as she recounted,
“Well, there was the couch, Shaundi straddling you, climbing on
you as you walked her over to the desk, the desk, rolling off
the desk, need I continue?” Shaundi blushed as well, and
Evelyn’s blush intensified greatly. “My mother is going to be at
the funeral, let’s not go into detail about that night with her,
ok?” Jane laughed slightly, “I won’t go over it with her, I
think we’ll have more pressing matters than talking about our
       past romantic histories.”
       ***
       Back in Stilwater
       ***
The plane landed smoothly, well, smooth as a plane can get, and
taxied down the runway until it reached the Saints’ private
hanger. Inside the hanger, a purple hearse followed by black and
purple Limos pulled in from the road that looped around back.
The plane’s door opened, Evelyn, Shaundi, Jane, and Tamara where
the first ones off. Pierce, followed closely by Ty and a few
other Saints, all clad in black and purple suits or nice
       clothing of some sort.
Evelyn and Shaundi walked side by side to the hearse, and turned
to look at the plane once more as a black casket was loaded out
of the plane, a purple fleur-de-lis on the front of it, where
Johnny’s head was. Two crew members pulled the casket down the
stairs, and to the back of the hearse, which another crew member
had opened. Shaundi and Evelyn both watched as the crew members
slid the casket into the back of the hearse, then shut the back
of the hearse behind Johnny. Shaundi heard footsteps, then
looked up to see her Mother, coming in from a side door, a look
of many emotions on her face.
Shaundi’s eyes brimmed with tears as she walked towards her Mom,
that all knowing face of her mothers took on a look of pity as
Shaundi wrapped her arms around her. Her mother wrapped her arms
around Shaundi as well, and whispered, “It’s ok Baby, I’m here.”
“I’ve missed you so much.” Shaundi sobbed quietly, tightening
her grip around her mother’s midsection.
After a tearful moment, the two parted, and her mom gripped her
hands tightly. “What happened to him?” She inquired, her
beautiful features scanning Shaundi’s face. Shaundi looked at
her mother with sorrow as the two began to walk back to the
cars, Evelyn with a tearful eye as well. “He got killed by… the
Syndicate, they killed him before we even got to Steelport.”
Her mother still looked to be in her late thirties, when in
actuality she was in her mid fifties. Her father always had
looked younger than he actually was too, which meant great aging
for Shaundi, but she wasn’t going to dwell on that now, all that
mattered was that her mother, Evelyn, Pierce, and soon to be
Evelyn’s parents, where going to be with them, as well as all
the other Saints. Although, Shaundi wished it wasn’t under these
       circumstances.
“Hello Evelyn.” Said Shaundi’s mother warmly, still clinging to
Shaundi. “Hey Traci.” Evelyn replied warmly, hugging Shaundi’s
mom. Pierce stood a few feet away, looking on the emotional
reunion. “Man you guys gonna make me tear up, shit.” Pierce said
jokingly as he walked by, turning to one of the male Saints and
starting to talk to him. “I’m so sorry for your loss.” Shaundi’s
mother said warmly to Evelyn, who nodded, “Thank you.” “Evelyn.”
called a familiar voice from the same entrance Shaundi’s mother
entered from, Evelyn’s father. “Dad!” Evelyn called as she let
go of Shaundi’s mom and hurried over to her parents, enveloping
both of them into a tight hug.
“I’ve missed you so much.” Was all Shaundi could make out from
Evelyn’s mother, Her dad was too busy hugging the crap out of
Evelyn to say anything. After a few minutes passed, Evelyn and
her parents made their way back over to Shaundi and her mom.
“Hey Shaundi.” Evelyn’s mother said warmly, hugging Shaundi.
Shaundi hugged back, Evelyn’s dad hugged Shaundi’s mom as she
       said, “Hello again.”
After the crying and hugging was over with, Shaundi, Her mother,
Evelyn, and her parents, got into the first Limo behind the
Hearse, cuing the other Saints to get into their respective
Limos as well. Once they where all in the limos, the precession
pulled out of the hanger, and soon after, was the Saints Escort,
AKA Cops on purple bikes that where still loyal to the Saints.
Shaundi looked out the window as the city Shaundi once knew like
the back of her hand whipped past, it looked foreign compared to
how it did in the good old days, so much had changed.
Eventually, they made their way to the cemetery, pulling to a
stop where five years ago, they stood for Aisha’s funeral.
Shaundi got out of the car, followed by her mother, Evelyn, and
       Evelyn’s parents.
The other Saints got out of their cars, and Shaundi looked
around. The cemetery had filled a bit more than she’d
remembered, but it still looked the same in a way. Shaundi
remembered having to fight with the Ronin to get Evelyn’s
parents and the Priest out of here, she remembered it all.
Evelyn walked to the back of the hearse with Pierce, opened the
back, and gently pulled Johnny’s casket out. Two more Saints
stepped in, and helped Evelyn and Pierce carry the Casket to the
grave that was dug next to Aisha’s.
The afternoon sun beat down on them, but Shaundi didn’t mind. It
was home, Shaundi just wished she could stay in Stilwater for a
while… maybe just a day, it would have been what she needed to
lift her very depressed spirits right about now. A black and
purple metal flower stand sat between the two tombstones, a
bouquet of at least two dozen Blood roses rested inside, the red
popping out against the green grass and Purple fleur-de-lis on
       the flower stand.
“Shall we begin?” Inquired the Priest, the same one that did
Aisha’s funeral all those years ago. Evelyn stood next to
Shaundi, Shaundi’s mother stood next to Shaundi, and Evelyn’s
parents stood semi-behind the two of them, staggered to the left
       and right.

   DIR By: Amaris
       Date: January 13, 2012, 11:59 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The Priest opened his bible, and began, “We are here today, to
say goodbye to a great man. Strong. Powerful, and if you where
on the wrong side of him, ruthless. Let us not mistake this for
a bad thing. This means that he was Loyal. Friends and family
came first for Johnny, and He would do anything, give anything,
if it meant saving his friend’s lives.” Evelyn’s hand found
Shaundi’s, and their fingers intertwined. Evelyn squeezed
Shaundi’s hand, the warmth from her hand gave Shaundi a bit of
strength to know that the woman she loved was right there by her
       side.
They heard a car pulling up, and the priest looked up, a look
of, “Oh Christ, not again.” on his face. Out stepped a man, the
spitting image of an older Johnny Gat. “Sorry I’m late.” Said
the man calmly, walking over to Shaundi and Evelyn, nodding,
then taking his place next to Evelyn’s father. Holy Shit! That
was Johnny’s Dad! He looked almost exactly like Johnny, he
wasn’t quite as muscular as his late son, nor did he wear
sunglasses. His hair was black and grey, slicked back much like
his son wore his before he died.
The priest cleared his throat, then began again, “Johnny Gat’s
passing is not entirely bad, for it means that he is with his
late wife, Aisha. May the lord grant unto them eternal rest, and
may perpetual light shine on them both, as they step into
eternity together.” That did it. Soon as he mentioned Aisha and
Gat stepping into eternity together, Shaundi’s tears fell from
her eyes, streaking down her cheeks, thankfully she wasn’t
wearing much eye makeup save some waterproof eyeliner.
“I would like to thank you all, and if I might have the
wonderful Ms. Traci Thomas sing something for us.” Shaundi’s
head whipped around to her mom, who smiled slightly and said, “I
love you Shaundi.” She walked a few steps forward, placed her
hand on Johnny’s casket, then continued on to where the Priest
       was standing.
Her mom stood with her hands on her diaphragm, she took a deep
breath, and began. “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound. That
saved a wrench like me. I once was lost, but now I’m found. I
was blind, but now I see, ‘twas grace that taught my heart to
fear, and Grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace
appear, the hour I first believed.” As Shaundi’s mother
continued singing, Shaundi’s tears multiplied. She hadn’t heard
her mother sing like that since she was a little girl, it
brought back so many sweet memories of her father and her
mother. Evelyn’s grip tightened on Shaundi’s hand as her mother
got into the higher notes of the song, Her mother had a stunning
voice, Even Gat’s dad seemed to be moved by it. Shaundi’s mother
was clad in a black dress with 3/4th length sleeves, and a pair
of heels. Her strawberry blonde hair was down, flowing just past
her shoulder blades in loose curls.
As she finished, she sheepishly smiled slightly and said, “Thank
you.” All the Saints applauded loudly, and her mother blushed
slightly. She then walked back over to Shaundi and Evelyn, and
Shaundi threw her arms around her mother. “That was beautiful.”
Shaundi whispered into her mother’s ear, and her mom giggled
       slightly, “Thanks honey.”
       ***
       An hour later
       ***
Shaundi and Evelyn’s parents had gone, but Gat’s dad was still
there, as well as Pierce, Tamara and Jane. Evelyn stood next to
Shaundi as Gat’s casket was lowered carefully into the grave.
Shaundi dropped a blood rose onto the casket, as well as Gat’s
father, Evelyn, and Pierce. Tamara had provided the Roses, it
seemed to be her thing. Jane stood by, watching and sniffling
slightly. Some of the workers from the Cemetery began dropping
dirt into the grave, Shaundi watched as the hole slowly began to
       fill with earth.
Once the grave was filled, the workers nodded to them all, and
walked off, back to the funeral parlor up the hill. “It’s a damn
shame.” Gat’s dad muttered, walking up to the grave and kneeling
on it. He muttered quietly, inaudible to Shaundi and the rest of
the Saints. He then pulled out a letter, and placed it on the
grave. He stood, then turned to the Saints slowly. “Kill the
bastards that did this to my Son, please.” Evelyn stepped
forward, and nodded. “I will. Believe me.” Gat’s dad nodded,
then said, “Thank you.” As he walked off to his car, he could be
heard crying quietly. “It really is a damn shame.” Pierce
muttered, looking at the two graves before him. “We’ve lost too
many good people.” He said, looking at Evelyn. Evelyn nodded, “I
couldn’t agree more.” Shaundi looked at the two graves, Aisha’s
was still pristine, and looked brand new. Shaundi remembered
playing Zombie uprising with Aisha, she was such a radiant,
       caring person.
       ***
       Later that night
       ***
Shaundi sat in the driver’s seat of a Criminal, her head in her
hand, elbow resting on the door, window open. Shaundi and Evelyn
had run around the City for a little bit after the funeral as a
way to cheer up, and it worked. Shaundi was wearing a pair of
straight leg black jeans, her usual boots, a purple tank top,
and her white and black jacket, her hair back in a ponytail as
usual. She felt like changing after the funeral, lucky for her
she’d packed some clothes on the plane.
Oleg sat in the back of the criminal Shaundi was driving, well,
sitting in, the bridge wasn’t open yet for some reason. Oleg had
flown in after the funeral, he said he wouldn’t feel right going
to the funeral because he’d never met Johnny. Evelyn and Pierce
rode in the car next to her, Pierce was driving, Evelyn riding
shotgun. Tamara drove one of the other Saint cars, the one
behind Shaundi. Jane drove the other, behind Pierce and Evelyn.
The speech from a senator… oh god, that was Monica Hughes. Not
just a senator, she was the Mayor of Stilwater for a while, and
the wife of a sick man. He was going to try to kill Evelyn, but
Julius beat him to the punch.
“When I left Stilwater for the senate, I vowed never to forget
my hometown roots. My husband gave his life defending Stilwater
from gang violence.” Shaundi stopped listening, he was going to
kill the leader of the only gang that was left, and the one that
made him Mayor, no less. Guess he lied to his wife about it too.
Fucker. Shaundi started listening once more, “It is my greatest
privilege to honor him with this bridge.” Monica Hughes was now
holding a giant pair of scissors, the ones they use to cut
ribbons and stuff, and just as she was about to open the bridge,
they heard squealing tires behind them. Shaundi leaned out her
window and looked, Giant green trucks where flying down the road
at them, firing turrets too. One threw grenades or something and
flipped a few cars over, using them as ramps and getting
       Airborne.
Evelyn leaned out her window too, she wore a tank top, a pair of
blue jeans, and her heeled boots that became the norm now. Her
hair was down, the earrings her mom gave her shone. Evelyn
raised a 45. Shepherd, and fired away at some of the trucks,
hoping to hit a tire or driver by the looks of it, but they
where too heavily armored. Evelyn pounded the roof of the car,
signaling for Pierce to gun it. Shaundi did the same, slamming
the Criminal into gear and jamming her foot down on the gas,
       sending it flying forward.
Shaundi grimaced as she ran over smaller cars, the Criminal was
way heavier than it usually would be thanks to Oleg, making it
easier to run over things, especially small cars. Shaundi said a
small apology to the people she ran over, then shook it off her
mind as they approached Monica Hughes. She dropped the giant
scissors and ran for her life as the Saints vehicles came
speeding towards her. They didn’t do it intentionally, of
course, she was standing in front of the only clear way out,
news vans blocked the other lanes. The whole bridge was open, so
Shaundi floored it even harder, pulling ahead of Pierce and
Evelyn a little bit. The Guys in the green trucks gained ground
as the road cleared up as well, still firing relentlessly at the
Saints with machine guns. “Who the hell are these guys?” Shaundi
screamed as her side view mirror was shot off, this was nuts!
Just as She finished speaking, one of the saints cars got a
blowout and the tiers locked up, sending the car into a spin. It
got hit by incoming green trucks until it was catapulted off the
bridge. “FUCK!” Was that Jane or Tamara?

The Saints continued to drive on, then Shaundi saw flashing up
in the distance. “The fuck?” she thought out loud, looking up.
“RPG’S!” Shaundi yelled, swerving away from a few explosions.
They spewed asphalt and heat up in the air, Shaundi could
practically feel her arm being scalded by it. Shaundi looked in
the rearview mirror to see one of the Saint cars narrowly dodge
a missile, then rolling end over end until it flew off the
bridge. “SHIT!” Shaundi screamed, was that Tamara or Jane?
They’d swerved back and forth so many times, plus she couldn’t
tell which one got catapulted off the bridge earlier either…
Shaundi couldn’t tell anymore. Shaundi’s grip tightened on the
steering wheel as she saw a piece of the bridge supports above
snap off, sending it on a freefall. “fuck, come on.” Shaundi
prayed as they passed under where the huge piece of collapsing
bridge was. Both Saint cars made it past the danger zone before
the large piece of debris impacted, trapping several of the
green trucks after them. Shaundi breathed a sigh of relief, then
saw pieces of the bridge crack ahead of them.
“Oh god… what the hell is this shit?!?” Shaundi yelled,
punching the gas even harder. This time, both the Saints cars
left made it over the fault line before it collapsed, sending
the two Green trucks left falling into the ocean. “Thank god.”
Shaundi muttered, the next thing she knew there was another
explosion, and the Criminal was sent flying. “Fuck!” Shaundi
screamed, clinging to the steering wheel tightly. She felt a
monumental impact, good thing she was wearing a seatbelt still.
Water began to flood the cabin of the Criminal, and Shaundi
quickly unbuckled and swam out of the Criminal as it began to
sink into the water. Shaundi watched as Pierce surfaced a few
hundred feet away from her, and Shaundi began to swim that way.
“Where’s Ev?” Shaundi called as she swam towards him. “I dunno!”
Pierce answered, and Oleg doggie paddled past her as she slowed
       down.
Shaundi came to treading water next to Pierce, looking around
anxiously for Evelyn. Evelyn finally popped up in front of her,
and Shaundi breathed a quiet sigh of relief. One of the thugs
from the trucks popped up in front of Pierce, who jumped back
slightly before pulling the guy up to look at his face. “Whoever
this crew Is, they float pretty damn good.” Shaundi would have
laughed at the joke, if it weren’t for the fact that they where
probably down 8 more saints now… Tamara and Jane where nowhere
to be seen, neither where the Saints they had in their car.
“They’re Killbane’s thugs.” answered Oleg, and Evelyn inquired,
“Kill-who?” “He’s the Syndicate’s attack dog.” Shaundi was
pissed, Tamara and Jane may be dead, they where stuck in the
ocean and had to swim back to shore, AND, they where still
       somewhat having Johnny’s funeral.
“What he did to Johnny’s funeral, That’s over the fucking
limit.” Oleg looked over at her, “He doesn’t care about rules of
engagement.” “No rules? I can work with that.” Evelyn said
smartly, a small smirk creeping onto her face. “You are not
ready to fight the Syndicate.” In a gravely voice, Shaundi
vowed, “Watch us.” Evelyn reached for Shaundi’s hand under the
water. “Relax, Shaundi. All right big man, whaddya got?”
Oleg answered, “There are others who hate the Syndicate as much
as you do, I will take you to them.” Shaundi swam towards
Evelyn slightly, then she heard yelling a few hundred feet away.
“Shaundi!” Screamed Tamara, and Shaundi whipped her head around.
Oh thank god, she was ok, save a few scratches.
“Tamara!” She yelled back, swimming towards her. The two finally
met, then clung to each other, “Where’s Jane?” Asked Shaundi,
and Tamara shook her head slightly, a grim look on her face.
“No…” Shaundi muttered, her eyes brimming with tears. Tamara
nodded, “She was in the car that rolled.” Tamara’s voice broke
in mid sentence, and Shaundi hugged her as best she could while
treading water. Evelyn swam over, “What’ s wrong?” She asked,
and Shaundi looked over at her. “Jane is dead…” she said in a
sheepish voice, too much emotional pain in one day for her to
even cry anymore. Evelyn swam towards the two of them and hugged
both Shaundi and Tamara. “We’ve gotta get back to Steelport,
let’s get to Shore and get back to the Airport, ok?”
       ***
       Back in Steelport
       ***
The city whipped by as Shaundi, Pierce, and Evelyn where being
carried fast as the Purple Infuego could take them, to a dock in
Steelport. Evelyn slowed to a stop, and got out of the car.
Shaundi followed, as did Pierce. “So who’s this girl we’re
picking up again?” Evelyn inquired, walking towards the end of
the dock where a speedboat was tied up. “Her name is Kenzie
Kenzington, Deckers are holding her on a barge in the river.”
“What‘s her deal?” Shaundi asked, first off, who named their kid
Kenzie, and who had a last name like Kenzington? Whatever, as
long as she was good help, Shaundi wouldn’t mind having another
       set of hands around.
“Oleg says she was with the FBI.” Pierce informed, and Evelyn
stopped and turned to Pierce, “You’re shitting me, right?”
Pierce held up both hands defensively, “Don’t sweat, she was
kicked out.” Oh well that was wonderful, really shows her
skillset… perfect. “So we’re getting a shitty fed?” Shaundi
asked, trying to get Pierce’s logic but failing miserably.
“Don’t start Hatin’ cause we’re getting a new girl.” Pierce
said, helping Evelyn untie the boat. Was he serious right now?
Really? “Come on Pierce, you should know me better by now.”
Shanundi thought to herself, but on the outside, she inquired,
“Are you Serious?” Evelyn had already hopped into the speed boat
and started the engine, waiting for Pierce and Shaundi to stop
arguing. “I’m not sayin… I’m just sayin.” Pierce said shyly as
he sat in the boat. Shaundi ‘accidently’ stepped on Pierce’s leg
as she got in the boat, and said, “I am not Jealous!” Pierce
then smirked, “I never said anything about jealous, that’s on
       you girl.”
Way to turn that around Pierce! Shaundi made a mental note to
smack Kenzie later. “Oh my god.” Evelyn smirked then looked
back, “Yeah yeah, great sexual tention, what got her kicked
out?” Evelyn kept her eyes on the water, not taking her hands
off the steering wheel either… save one a few seconds later to
       grab Shaundi’s hand reassuringly.
Pierce answered, “Oleg didn’t give me all the details, but he
made it sound like Kenzie was about to out the Syndicate, so the
Deckers set her up for a fall.” Ouch… that was harsh, Shaundi
now felt a pang of guilt for thinking bad things about Kenzie,
she was a good cop, and hopefully loyal, just doing her job,
when suddenly, Bam, her world was turned upside down. Shaundi
could relate, so she made a mental note to take Kenzie to safety
herself so she could get to know her a bit better. Maybe Shaundi
could lend a helping hand if She was upset or something,
       anything for a friend.
On the outside, Shaundi couldn’t let her fasade down, so she
said, “I hope she’s worth the hassle.” Secretly, she almost knew
she would be, but still, you never know. Pierce, for once in the
last five minutes, wasn’t kidding, and said, “Only one way to
find out… we’ve gotta get on that barge.” Within a few minutes
more, the boat was trailing behind the barge. Evelyn partly
beached the boat on the back of the barge, and they all got out,
       guns raised.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Soon enough, guys dressed in cyber punk attire came out, guns
raised, and shooting at them. “The hell these guys wearing?”
Shaundi fired at a few, headshots all the way across. Evelyn
fired her dual KA-1 Kobras at one that came towards her, then
answered, “Looks like the Bleak line by Kristov Valkyrie.”
Shaundi and Pierce both stopped firing and looked at Evelyn with
“WTF?” Faces and asked, “What?” in unison.
“Just focus on finding Kenzie.” Evelyn ordered, a small smirk on
her face as she walked through the barge, Pierce and Shaundi on
her left and right flanks. Pierce walked backwards so that
nobody could sneak up on their tails. Some Deckers actually
tried to do, but Pierce shut them down before they even got a
shot off. Shaundi covered Evelyn from either side, and Evelyn
focused on the guys that where on top of all the shipping crates
scattered around the barge, all stacked in twos and threes.
Within five minutes, Shaundi, Evelyn, and Pierce had cut their
way through the barge, until they made their way to the
navigation room, to see a girl with Red hair hogtied on the
floor. Evelyn pulled a switchblade out of her back pocket, and
knelt down next to her, pulling the ball gag out of Kenzie’s
mouth. Kenzie stopped struggling against the binds, and said
nothing. “You don’t seem to happy about being rescued.” Evelyn
observed, and Kenzie merely shrugged as best she could while
saying in a somewhat high pitched voice, “I’m waiting to see if
you’re here to kill me first.”
Pierce observed, “Girl’s pragnatic, I like her.” Shaundi glanced
at Pierce, “Of course you do.” Shaundi thought to herself, a
small smile on her face. Evelyn reassured Kenzie, “We’re not
here to kill you, we’re here to recruit you to our cause.”
Kenzie rattled off something really quickly, Shaundi only
caught, “--The Saints, you guys are awesome, always been a fan,
even when I was with the Agency. Looking forward to working with
you.” Shaundi blinked slightly, the girl talked a mile a minute.
Evelyn finished cutting Kenzie free, and helped her to her feet.
Kenzie was about Shaundi’s hight, a bit shorter than her at the
moment because Shaundi was wearing heels. “I’m Kenzie
Kensington, Cyber goddess extraordinaire at your service.”
Kenzie did a mock salute, then said, “There are others you guys
need, right? I remember reading something about always getting
three new lieutenants…” Evelyn looked taken aback, how did this
girl know so much about them? Then Shaundi made a mental note to
face palm herself, Kenzie was a fed, of course she knew
       everything about the Saints.
“Anyways, we should get going, Matt will probably send more
deckers soon.” Shaundi nodded, “She’s right, We should go.”
Evelyn nodded, “Move out.” All three followed Evelyn back to the
boat, Pierce , Shaundi, and Kenzie pushing the boat back into
the water as Evelyn gunned the engine to life. Pierce got in
first, then helped Kenzie and Shaundi into the boat. Shaundi sat
I the passenger seat next to Evelyn, and Kenzie sat next to
       Pierce in the back.
The ride back to the docks was quiet, Shaundi took the time to
examine Kenzie. She wore a blue Fed jacket still, the letters
FBI scrawled across the left breast pocket and the back. Under
said fed jacket, Kenzie wore a Saints purple hoodie. She donned
a pair of torn up jeans that fit her every curve, and a pair of
boots. Her hair was pulled back sloppily, bangs falling in her
face heavily. She wore a pair of somewhat chunky glasses, they
reminded her of Revenge of the nerds glasses for some reason.
Kenzie sat with her legs crossed, two fingers twirling some of
her bangs that where loose. She looked over her glasses at
Shaundi, and asked, “What? There something on my face?” Shaundi
shook her head suddenly, “Nah, Just lookin’ you over. You wanna
make the Syndicate pay, right?” Kenzie nodded, “Hell yeah, That
punk ass kid got me kicked out of the FBI in the first place, of
course I wanna make him pay.” Shaundi nodded, “How’d he get you
kicked out of the FBI?” Shaundi inquired, a bit curious as to
how a punk kid, apparently, got her kicked out of the Federal
Beurou of Investigation. “It’s a LONG story.” She countered,
suddenly very interested in a speck on her glasses. Shaundi took
it as a sign to stop prodding, so she turned back around in her
seat and set her hand on Evelyn’s leg.
A few seconds passed, before Kenzie’s voice interrupted, “Wait,
are you two like, an item?” Shaundi answered this time, “Yeah.
Got any trouble with that?” Kenzie shook her head with a smile,
“Nope.” She then giggled slightly, and turned to look at the
passing city and water. Shaundi smirked, this girl was weird,
Shaundi wanted to know more about her, she seemed more fagile
than she’d like to admit, like most people where these days.
Within a few minutes, they’d pulled up to the docks once more,
and gotten out. “You know anyone else that can help?” Evelyn
asked, walking towards Shaundi and Kenzie, who had seemed to
form a sort of friendship right off the bat. It seemed to
Shaundi that Kenzie trusted her for some reason. “Well, The
DeWynters are keeping Zimos at Safeword.” Evelyn’s beautiful
features took on a confused look, and she said, “Right… whatever
that means.” Kenzie sighed, “The DeWynters are the twin sisters
who run prostitution in Steelport. Zimos was their competition,
so they locked him up… and Safeword is just a BDSM club that
caters to various acts of perversion. The name comes from-”
Shaundi, having heard enough, said, “Aaah, we got it.” Kenzie
       then remarked, “Mine’s teacup.”
Shaundi made an “Eew.” Face, and Evelyn repressed a snort. “I’ll
get her out of here, you two have fun at the Gimp show.” Evelyn
rolled her eyes, then muttered, “Sneaky bitch.” under her breath
in a joking tone as she leaned in to kiss Shaundi. Shaundi
kissed back, running her hands through Evelyn’s hair and making
sure to mess it up a bit. Evelyn and Shaundi parted, and Evelyn
made a, “Wtf?” face as she shook her head hard, then smoothed
her hair back down to normal. Shaundi chuckled at the
uncomfortable looks on Kenzie and Pierce’s faces, then as she
turned to Kenzie said, “Bye Ev.” in a sweet tone. Evelyn smiled,
“See you later Shaundi, be careful.”
Shaundi nodded, then turned to Kenzie. “So, where to? We need to
go to the penthouse, but we have some time to kill.” Kenzie
thought for a moment, then inquired, “Do you happen to have a
computer I can like… modify the hell out of and use for like…
ever?” Shaundi did a mental recount of all the computers in the
crib at the moment, Shaundi had a purple laptop, Evelyn had a
black one, Pierce had a gold plated laptop, there where a few
desktops… eeh. “Tell you what, I’ll take you to an electronics
store and we can get you a new one, that way you won’t have to
dig around for parts to soup it up.”

punched Kenzie on the shoulder lightly, “Anything for a friend.”
Kenzie rubbed her shoulder, and Shaundi laughed, “Oh come on,
that didn’t hurt.” Kenzie smiled a bit, “A little.” Shaundi
looked at Kenzie, and inquired, “You don’t have a very high pain
tolerance, do you?” Kenzie shook her head, “Oh god no, you don’t
need one when all you do all day is sit in a chair and hack
       things.”
Shaundi gawked, “Is that really all you do?” Kenzie nodded,
“Pretty much, I write the occasional program to make hacking
easier for me, but other than that, nothing else really.”
Shaundi wondered what it was like to stare at growing notepad
documents every day, all growing with Data and code. Ick. “You
like doing that all day?” Again, Kenzie smiled, “Yep, that’s
what I did in the FBI, I could hack Al Queda files in seconds,
       their security sucks.”
Shaundi was impressed, the girl was good. “Very nice.” Shaundi
said, motioning for Kenzie to follow her. “Let’s snatch a car
and get to the store, I dunno what kind of computer you’re
looking for.” Kenzie smiled, “I do, just get me there and I’ll
be out in a few minutes.” Shaundi smiled, She wondered how fast
       she could crack Syndicate files…

Shaundi pulled to a stop in front of the store titled,
“Steelport electronics” And Kenzie asked, “Wait here? I prefer
to do my tech magic alone.” Shaundi was puzzled, but said
nothing and nodded, “I’ll wait here.” Kenzie nodded, then popped
open the door of the Nordberg Shaundi had stolen, slid out, and
shut it behind her. She then casually walked into the
electronics store, almost like it was her second home. Shaundi
pulled out her phone, and flipped through it, looking for
something to keep her occupied. “Sex positions 101... No,
Motivational postersLOL, No, Aah, Pictures.” Shaundi clicked on
her photos, starting from the very beginning.
Shaundi saw a picture of Her and her mother sitting in her mom’s
living room, smiling widely at the camera. Shaundi remembered
that day, it was when Shaundi took Evelyn to meet her mom for
the first time. Shaundi was nervous about how her mother would
react as she carefully treaded up the concrete walkway to the
two story house that she came to call home for a time. She rang
the doorbell, and Evelyn smiled at her.
Her mother’s voice could be heard from the inside, calling,
“Coming, one second!” And literally, a second later, Her mother
opened the door, a large smile on her face. “Shaundi!” She
exclaimed in a delighted tone, wrapping her in a heavy hug. Her
mom then parted from her, and turned to Evelyn. “And I don’t
believe we’ve met?” Evelyn smiled cooly, “No, we haven’t. My
name is Evelyn, Evelyn Saunders if you wanna be formal about
it.” Shaundi’s mom laughed, “Evelyn it is, come in, come in,
make yourselve’s comfortable. Shaundi says she has a lot to
       catch me up on.”
Shaundi peeked over at Evelyn, who stared at Shaundi with
wonder. As her mom walked to the living room, Evelyn grabbed
Shaundi’s arm and held her back gently. “You didn’t tell her?”
Evelyn whispered, a slight edge in her voice that Shaundi
couldn’t place. Shaundi shook her head, then whispered, “No,
that would have been the most awkward phone call ever, ‘Oh hey
mom, I’m in a relationship with the leader of the Saints. Did I
mention she happens to be a woman? I don’t think so. It’s one
of those things to be done in person.”
Evelyn then chuckled slightly as she let go of Shaundi’s arm,
“Touche.” She said quietly as they turned the corner into the
living room. Shaundi’s mom sat on the couch, waiting for Shaundi
and Evelyn to come into the room. “So Shaundi, what’d you wanna
tell me?” Her mother inquired cooly, turning to Shaundi as she
sat next to her. Shaundi motioned for Evelyn to take a seat in
the arm chair next to the Window, a good three or so feet from
the couch, hat way if her mom flipped, Shaundi could hold her
       back from Evelyn.
Shaundi took a deep breath, then released it and made eye
contact with her mother. She shakily began, “Well… You know I’m
a saint now right?” Shaundi’s mother blinked slightly, looked
away, then looked back at her and sighed, “I guess it’s not
terribly surprising… that was why you where in the hospital,
wasn’t it? It wasn’t a car accident, was it?” Shaundi took a
deep breath and set her hand on her mother’s. “That wasn’t
entirely a lie, we got into a car crash right before the thing
that put me in the hospital…” Shaundi stopped, and looked over
at Evelyn quickly. She was leaned forward in the chair,
listening intently to their conversation. “I got shot three
times.” Shaundi flatly stated, trying to get it over with
       quickly.
Her mother gasped, then pulled her hand away from Shaundi and
covered her mouth. Tears sprang to her eyes before she wrapped
Shaundi in a tight hug. “Baby why didn’t you tell me?” Shaundi
felt bad now, so she wrapped her arms around her mom and
explained, “I didn’t know how you would take it…” She paused,
then took a deep breath, “And that wasn’t even what I came here
       to tell you either.”
Her mom pulled away slowly, then looked at Shaundi, tears still
in her eyes. “What else is there?” Her mother inquired, tears
still running down her face, a worried expression on her face.
Shaundi didn’t know how to say this… how would she do it?
Shaundi, eyes glued to a spot on the floor, began, “Well… Evelyn
and I…” Shaundi stopped, then looked up at her mother, and
looked her in the eye. “We’re together.” She finished quickly,
almost like it was a curse word that she was uttering for the
first time in the presence of a loved one.
Her mother blinked, then looked from Shaundi, to Evelyn, who at
this point wore a nervous look on her face, then back to
Shaundi. “What?” She inquired, her voice cracking in the middle
of the word. “Mom… Evelyn and I are together.” Shaundi repeated,
this time with more feeling, she was less afraid of it the
second time around. Her mother was silent for a few minutes,
Shaundi wondered weather to comfort her or run the other way.
Slowly, her mother looked at her, and reassured, “I still love
you, no matter what way you swing, I’ll always love you.”
Shaundi took a second to let the words sink in, then looked over
at Evelyn, who had a large grin on her face. Shaundi then smiled
too, and wrapped her mom in a tight hug. Shaundi’s thoughts
where shattered when Kenzie rapped on the passenger window, “Can
you unlock the door? It’s chilly out here.” Shaundi locked her
phone, then put it back in her pocket. She unlocked the door,
and looked over at Kenzie with a smile, “Get the one you
wanted?” Kenzie nodded, “Oh yes.” She then opened the box,
       pulling out a silver laptop.

Shaundi pulled out her phone and checked for a text or call from
Ev for the millionth time in the last hour. Kenzie looked up
from her laptop, “She’s fine Shaundi.” Kenzie reassured matter
of factly. Shaundi looked at her, and asked, “Oh yeah? How do
you know that?” Kenzie turned her laptop towards Shaundi, and
Shaundi saw Evelyn walking into the building from a vantage
point at a stoplight up the street. “You already have access to
the street cameras?” Kenzie shot Shaundi a look, and said,
“Please, I had access to those before we even got my power cable
       hooked up.”
Kenzie turned the laptop back to her, then said, “She should be
here about… now.” Just then, the elevator dinged. Shaundi was
impressed, she hopped up and walked up the stairs to greet
Evelyn. She looked a bit tired, but otherwise unscathed. “Hey
Shaundi.” Evelyn said, a smile on her face. “How’d it go?” She
inquired, to which Evelyn laughed. “I need a shower… badly.
Wanna come with?” Shaundi smiled at the thought, but was tired…
and a bit hungry. “I’ll come talk with you if you want, but no
sex in the shower tonight.” Evelyn repressed a snort, then
agreed, “That was what I meant, I’m beat too. It’s been one hell
of a day, eh?” Shaundi thought back on the events of the day…
damn it’s been a long day. “You could say that again.” She said
softly as both walked towards their bedroom, Shaundi’s arm
around Evelyn’s shoulders, Evelyn’s arm around Shaundi’s waist.
Once inside their room, Evelyn shut the door, and Shaundi closed
the curtains. “Good call.” Evelyn remarked as she pulled off her
tank top, revealing a very skimpy bra. “You sure you don’t wanna
shower? I didn’t wanna say anything but you’ve got a bit of dirt
right there.” As Evelyn spoke, she gestured to an area of her
face. “I do?” Shaundi inquired, wiping at her face. “Here, let
me get it.” Evelyn whispered softly as she sauntered up to
       Shaundi.
She then caressed Shaundi’s cheek slowly, sending that same old
chill down Shaundi’s spine. “Ev…” Shaundi began, but was cut off
by a passionate kiss. That felt nice, after the long day she’s
had, why not take a shower with the woman she loves? It’s not
like she’s going to go full on sex with her in the shower or
anything… but it had happened before. “That shower sounds nice
right about now.” Shaundi breathed, pulling away from Evelyn
slightly. Evelyn smirked, then pecked at Shaundi’s lips quickly
before hurrying off to the bathroom and starting the shower.

Shaundi brushed her hair back and debated throwing it in a
ponytail, then mentally said, “Fuck it.” and left it down. She
then pulled on a black tank top and her purple bells. Deciding
to go with something flat, Shaundi pulled on a pair of socks
and her Converse, it felt nice to be casual once in a while.
Evelyn too was going casual for tonight, she wore a purple
hoodie with a black camisole underneath it, a pair of purple and
silver basketball shorts, and a pair of Heydey super shifts,
Saints edition, of course. “Wow, even for casual wear you look
great.” Shaundi remarked, a small smirk on her face. Evelyn
chuckled, “You’re not too bad yourself, I haven’t seen those in
       years.”
Shaundi chuckled, “I know, Ezra shipped over a bunch of stuff
like you said, I just found the box with some of my clothes in
it yesterday.” Evelyn smirked, “Let’s go downstairs, Zimos and
Angel got here a few minutes ago, let’s brief the Saints, shall
we?” Zimos… he sounded familiar. “We shall.” Shaundi said as she
dismissed her thoughts and opened the bedroom door.
Evelyn walked downstairs, Shaundi on her right. “Yo, listen up.”
Evelyn began, taking a position in front of a statue. All the
Saints gathered around, Shaundi to Evelyn’s right, Pierce next
to her, Kenzie, Zimos, Angel and Oleg where all in a line in
front of Shaundi. “We got some serious shit to discuss. The
syndicate has got to pay for what they’ve done, and since we
don’t know Steelport I brought in some people who do.” As Evelyn
said this, she walked behind Kenzie, Zimos, Angel, and Oleg.
“This is Kenzie, Zimos, Angel, and the big guy is Oleg.”
Evelyn paused, and as she began again Shaundi got a wave of déjà
vu, “Talk to these guys they’ll have something for you to do.”
Another pause, then, with conviction and pride in her voice, she
ordered, “It’s our time now, Let’s get this shit started.” As
She punctuated her sentence with a fist in the air, a chill ran
down Shaundi’s spine as Shaundi and the Saints mirrored the
fist, yelling in approval and several of them cocking weapons.
Evelyn turned to Shaundi with a smirk, and asked, “Déjà vu
much?” Shaundi chuckled, “Yeah, you got any other lines?”
Shaundi retorted smartly, kidding around. Evelyn smirked once
more, “Well it seemed to make me wanna kill people when Julius
said it, Why not keep using it? The new talent hadn’t heard it
       yet anyways.”
       ***
       The next morning
       ***
Shaundi woke up and turned, opening her eyes slowly to see
Evelyn still in bed with her for once. Shaundi grinned, this was
a nice way to start off the day, especially after so much sorrow
the day before. Shaundi slid out of bed, stretched slightly, and
walked over to the bathroom. Sliding the door closed behind her,
Shaundi started the shower and stripped off her pajamas. She
stepped in the shower, letting the hot water cascade down her
back and neck, soaking her hair and giving her an instant calm
       feeling.
She stayed in the shower long enough to get clean, then shut the
water off and stepped out, grabbing a towel and drying off her
body quickly, then wrapping the towel around her body and
beginning on her hair. Plugging in her blow dryer, she brushed
through her hair quickly, smoothing out the tangles, then turned
the dryer on high and went to work. Should she wear it straight
today? Nah. Leave it wavy, Evelyn liked her hair wavy anyways.

Shaundi dried her hair, as she did so she desperately tried to
remember where she knew Zimos from. He seemed so familiar, why?
Shaundi thought back to her time in Steelport before, she’d
landed at the airport to be picked up by Jake, they went and
scored some pot, went back to his place and smoked it… then they
went to a party… Shaundi tried to remember any pimps with auto
tuned voices, she couldn’t place any.[/center]
