Re: Shaundi's Side (SR2 & SR3 Story)

Sorry for the wait guys, the no playback feature is
really giving me hell! XD
[glow=purple,2,300]Bank heist Gone wrong[/glow]
Shaundi Checked her TEK Z-10 once more, then set it aside as she
put on the voice changer that Gat handed her. That actor with an
ego, Josh Birk, finished watching the Saints Flow energy drink
commercial, then he chuckled and said, “Japanese commercials,
easiest money you’ll ever make.” As Gat knelt down next to the
duffle bag with the guns, and pulled out two .45 Shepherds, he
said, “Grand larceny is right up there.” He then flipped them
in his hands to where he was holding the muzzles, and then
handed them to Birk. As he did so, he asked, “You ready for
this?”
Birk took them, then twirled them like an action star in a
movie, as he did this, he said, “Don’t worry, I do all my own
stunts.” Shaundi activated the voice changer, she said, “Hey,
you’re just a ride along man, so don’t be getting all Hong Kong
style in there.” Birk then took on a dramatic stance and voice,
and said, “ I’m a method actor.. If I’m going to play a Saint
with any degree of emotional truth..” there was a pause as he
turned on his voice changer, “I gotta make it real.” Shaundi
rolled her eyes, this guy was outrageous. Just then, the
Elevator doors opened, to reveal Evelyn, still clad in the
Johnny Gat outfit, cradling a rifle in her arms. She cocked the
rifle, and said, “Trust me Birk, it’ll be real.”
Evelyn walked over, and Gat put on a Johnny Gat mask, Shaundi
put hers on as well. While they did so, Birk asked, “You’re
robbing a bank dressed like yourselves?” Gat then answered in a
smug tone, “Hell yeah, who doesn’t wanna be Johnny Gat?” Birk
smiled, and put his own mask on as he said, “Ultra
post-modernism… I love it.”
They all formed a line, checked their guns once more, and opened
to doors into the bank lobby. Shaundi asked Evelyn, “I’m cool
with the Saints movie and all, but do we really have to drag
this asshole actor around?” Evelyn chuckled slightly, and said,
“Cut Josh some slack, he’s just researching his part.” Shaundi
sighed, and retorted bitterly, “I hope he signed a waver.” They
all kept walking, Evelyn raised her gun into the air and fired
two shots. As she did so, she said, “All right people, Nobody
moves-” But was cut off by Birk jumping onto a counter,
dramatically flipping his guns, and pointing them in a teller’s
face as he yelled, “ Nobody dies!”
Gat was standing next to the counter, and he yelled, “BIRK!”
Josh then looked over at Gat. “Sorry, jumped the line… can we go
again?” Gat sighed and looked away, meanwhile Evelyn sat
sideways on a counter and said, “You all know the drill.”
Moments later, Gat had everyone form a line and drop their cell
phones into the duffle bag, that way nobody could alert the
police. Shaundi had gone with Evelyn to pay them off this month,
but either way, when the police where called it made it harder
to get away with shit, even though they couldn’t be arrested.
Evelyn stood by a cardboard cutout of Killbane, the Murderbrawl
wrestler, and a man walking away from Gat inquired hopefully,
“Can I get a picture with the boss?” Shaundi raised her cell
phone, and said, “Say Cheese! Ok, I’ll Post this on the Saints
website, you can grab it there, ok?” The man nodded, thanked
her, then walked off.
Meanwhile, Josh had one of his pistols pointed sideways at an
elderly woman working as a teller, and ordered “Get in line
bitch!” Shaundi shot him a look that was lost under the Gat
mask, and said, “Hey, don’t be a dick!” Josh then turned to
Shaundi, and with both shoulders raised, he asked, “You call
yourselves gang bangers? You’re a bunch of pussies! We should be
all up in their shit like…” As he finished, he turned back to
the teller, who had pulled out her own 45 Shepherd and pulled
the trigger, narrowly missing Josh and hitting the Killbane
cutout. Josh screamed, “FUCK!” As he ducked, Damn, it didn’t hit
that pretty little face of his.
Shaundi jumped back slightly, the bullet did, however, nearly
hit her or Evelyn. Shaundi surveyed the room as several of the
bystanders started ducking for cover, all of the other tellers
pulled out pistols of their own. Well… this was certainly not
how bank robberies usually went for them. Evelyn surveyed the
room as well, gazing up at the upper windows. “Well, that’s
different.” She observed, guards rushing past all of the
windows.
The room then exploded with gunfire, Shaundi, Evelyn, Gat, and
Birk all dove behind a counter for cover, they all did so in
various forms and degrees of grace. Shaundi merely ran around
the corner of it and ducked, Evelyn slid over the top of it, Gat
hopped it like a subway turnstile, and last was Birk, he
scrambled around trying to look cool.
Shaundi looked around, counting guards, tellers, and anyone who
had a gun aside from the four of them. They where way
outnumbered, by a LONG fuckin’ shot. But who cared? They here
outnumbered before. “You got a plan or are we just shootin’ all
these mother fuckers?” asked Gat, kneeling next to Evelyn.
Evelyn turned to Gat slightly. “That is my plan.” Gat shrugged,
“Works for me!” He then rushed out of cover, punched a man in
the face, and took him as a human shield. Shaundi smirked, here
we go.
Shaundi stood, and stepped out from behind the counter, leveling
her gun at her side. She had gotten good at firing from the hip
with a TEK Z-10, she had to admit. She took out three guys, she
would have been keeping her peripheral vision on Evelyn, but the
mask obscured it greatly, reducing it to near nothing. She had
to go by what she could see in front of her, and what she could
hear around her.
She could, however, hear several gunshots, as well as see
several of the tellers fall over, bullets in their upper bodies.
“You wanna play mother fucker?” Gat asked, no doubt
interrogating his human shield. Shaundi then saw the man go
flying, hitting the leg of a very tall statue, making it fall
and take out an entire wall of windows. “Oh my god, you couldn’t
wait to kill him before we found out who these guys are?”
Shaundi inquired, still firing at more men that came from a door
behind the counter.
Gat answered, “Eeh.” Josh then chimed in, “Aaah… we’re gonna
die.” Gat then retorted, a smug undertone in his voice, “What
happened to ‘I do all my own stunts?” Josh spat back, “Hey, do
these look like squibs to you?!” Shaundi repressed a chuckle,
this guy thought he was a badass, but he was a pussy, complete
and totally, no two ways about it.
They all ran behind the counter and through the doors, leading
to a small hallway with more counters on either side. The door
on the other end was a set of double doors, Birk was standing a
few feet from them, and yelled, “That’s right you fuckers!”
Johnny finished his sentence, likely not wanting to hear Birk
talk anymore, “We’re comin’ for ya!” Josh then assumed a kung-fu
kick position and kicked at the door, which held fast and
bounced him back, making him fall to his ass. Shaundi sighed,
“Oh jesus…” Gat stood in front of the door and in an impatient
tone, “Get up Birk!” he then kicked the doors, making them fly
open and nailing a woman dressed like a complete hoe with the
door as well. “Let’s keep moving!” Evelyn yelled, ushering them
all through the doors.
Shaundi went into the next room after Evelyn, shooting at men
and women behind the guard rails above. “ I can’t believe you
launched that guy into the statue!” Gushed Birk, meanwhile Gat
stabbed a man in the stomach with a combat knife, then aimed his
pistol at another as he said, “Yeah? Well I can’t believe you’re
still thinking about it.”
Shaundi started up the Staircase after Evelyn, and fired upon a
woman coming down the stairs. She wore very little clothing
except a corset, some underwear, and a trench coat. Who where
these guys? “Do you wanna know who these people are??” Birk
Squealed as he ducked a punch from a Man in a red and black
suit. Evelyn turned, and shot the man, then ushered Birk to go
on. Shaundi rolled her eyes as she continued up the stairs.
Evelyn then said, “Listen, all that matters is the Vault, let’s
find that and get the hell out of here!” Shaundi nodded, ducked
a punch from a man in a red shirt and black suit, then upper
cutted him with the barrel of her TEK Z-10. “Is this what it’s
normally like?” Birk inquired, standing Sheepishly beside
Evelyn. “Normally Tellers don’t have fuckin’ shotguns!” Gat
replied snappily, running up the stairs past Shaundi. Shaundi
stood in wait for Evelyn, who went past her in a matter of
seconds.
Shaundi then snapped, “Yeah, normally banks don’t look like a
palace either!” Birk chimed in about the statues once more, “Did
you see those statues before you blew them up?” Shaundi rolled
her eyes, again with the damn statues. Gat then observed as he
kicked a shotgun from a fallen man, “These guards are packin’
military grade hardware.” Evelyn then asked in a shocked manor
as she tripped a man and did an elbow drop on him, “Who the hell
are we robbing?!”
Over the next few minutes, they all made their way through the
sea of guards in red, and up a staircase. Shaundi and Gat took
point on the trip up to the vault, Gat rushed to the vault door,
meanwhile Shaundi stood watch over the top of the staircase. Out
of nowhere, just as Evelyn came up the stairs with Birk, a man
grabbed Shaundi and pushed her against the wall. She gasped for
air as he back hit the wall, then she grabbed the man’s gun,
stepped away from the wall, and spun, tossing him into the wall
in turn. She then squeezed the trigger down on her TEK Z-10,
spraying bullets into the man’s chest.
As Shaundi reloaded, Evelyn nodded to her slightly, making the
Gat mask wobble. Birk then reached the vault, and leaned over,
hands resting on his knees, complaining as he breathed heavily,
“aah… I can’t breathe!” Shaundi approached him and ripped off
the gat mask, tossing it to the side with a groan. Christ Birk
was annoying, no wonder Shaundi always hated that stupid show,
Nyte Blade.
She then took off her own Gat mask, she felt a rush of cool air
wash over her face. It felt nice to be out of that damn thing,
yes, it was cool for a few minutes, but damn it could get
annoying. “No way we’re crackin’ this thing, time for plan B?”
Evelyn nodded, and said, “Yep…Josh!” Evelyn then ordered Josh to
come to her side with the duffle bag. “Got the tools right here,
homes.” Josh said as he released the strap on the duffel bag to
make it hang down, turning to where Evelyn could unzip it and
take out it’s contents.
“So Uuh…what’s plan B? Huh? Drill it?” Josh asked, using a
typical serious action movie hero tone. “Fuck no, we blow it.”
Said Gat, his own Gat mask off now. Josh’s tone went up several
octaves, and he squeaked, “What? De… Not cool man!” Evelyn then
extracted an explosive, and held it up for them all to see.
“Time to get to work.”
Shaundi smiled as Evelyn looked at her, Evelyn still had the Gat
mask on, but Shaundi could practically see her smiling. Shaundi
turned, then walked to a window across the room, she heard
Evelyn say, “We’ll need to set these above the vault!” Shaundi
got to the window, and looked out to see… aaw fuck, why couldn’t
anything be easy for once? There where a shit ton of guards
coming in through the front, down in the lobby. Shaundi fired
through the window, clearing it out before She actually started
shooting at the men and women in red. What gang where they in?
They definitely weren’t in the Brotherhood, too classy for that
hillbilly prick, Maero to have survived and started the
brotherhood again. Birk, always stating the obvious, said, “I
think we’ve got company…” Shaundi then said, “Looks like they’re
coming in through the lobby.” Evelyn hadn’t gotten to the window
yet, so that part she was trying to be helpful with. Evelyn shot
out the window next to Shaundi on her left, and fired out of it
as well. “You think you can stop us???” Gat yelled as he kicked
out the window to Evelyn’s left and fired manically out of it.
“Shaundi.” Birk said, in an obvious romantic tone. “What?” She
snapped back impatiently, firing at enemies below. “We need to
talk.” He replied, his romance tone still in effect. “We really
don’t.” She replied dryly, still firing on guards below. “It’s
just… if I die here, I don’t want things to go… unsaid.” Shaundi
stifled a small chuckle, was this guy for real? “I should be so
lucky.” She then replied, Evelyn then ran past Shaundi up
another staircase, Shaundi popped another cap into a woman,
Shaundi saw the woman’s head jerk back as she fell, she then
turned and hurried up the stairs after Evelyn, soon followed by
Birk.
A woman stood with a picture of Evelyn and Shaundi, the picture
that graced the covers of dozens of magazines for months. “Oh my
god, you’re the Saints! Can you sign this?” The woman was
obviously a fan of the Saints, she wore a Royal purple hoodie
with Fleur-de-lis all over it.
Evelyn took the picture and the Sharpie that the woman held as
well, and said, “Hey, anything for a fan.” As she signed her
name in a script, but different from the one that graced the
dozens upon dozens of letters and Shaundi’s Tattoo. Evelyn then
gave the picture and pen back to the woman, and then the woman
set her eyes on Shaundi, “Please?” She asked, a very hopeful
look in her eye. Shaundi couldn’t say no to that, so she tucked
her TEK Z-10 under her arm, and grabbed the picture, and pen
with a smile. “Who do I make this out to?”
“Lisa, it’s for my sister.” Shaundi smiled, and wrote, “To Lisa,
love Shaundi and Evelyn.” She then handed it back to the woman,
and said, “Get out of here, the place is gonna blow soon.” The
woman nodded, “Thank you Shaundi!” Birk trotted along beside
her, “Want me to Uuh… sign your breasts?” The woman stopped, and
said, “Uum.. No thanks, I’m good.”
The woman then rushed down the stairs, and kept going. Shaundi
heaved a sigh of relief, she then walked further into the room
next to Evelyn, to see her touch the final keys to arm the bomb.
Evelyn then stood, and waved for them all to run. Shaundi
followed Evelyn, Gat and Josh behind them. Evelyn, Shaundi, and
Josh all dove behind desks, Gat merely stood there and watched
the explosion from behind his sunglasses. Shaundi felt the
shockwave pound through her body, she’d been so long without
being in an explosion, it scared her for a split second.
Once the bomb had finished exploding and most of the big rubble
had settled, Shaundi, Gat, and Evelyn walked to the edge of the
building where a large hole had been blown, observing the
“Stilwater Hotel” Sign, lit up in bright purple. “Let’s call up
the chopper, get this baby out of here.” Shaundi nodded, but
didn’t say anything, she was busy thinking on how far Stilwater
had come from the old days, when Josh said, “Guys, call off the
chopper, I found a way to open the vault!” If josh was still
under the desk… then… SHIT!
Shaundi, Evelyn, and Gat all turned to yell at him not to, but
Gat was the only one who was able to get the words out. “NO
DON’T TOUCH IT!” Birk did so anyways, and a series of loud,
annoying alarms and red flashing lights went off. Josh looked
like a scared, confused kid who got caught with his hand in the
cookie jar, Shaundi did not find this amusing. “Josh! Are you
trying to get us all Jail time?” Shaundi spat, pointing at him,
then dropping her hand because the effect was probably lost on
him.
At the mention of “Jail time” Josh’s eyes grew wide, and he
backed up a few feet. “What? I don’t wanna be some dude’s
bitch!” He then turned and sprinted out of the room, down the
staircase, and out of the building most likely. Shaundi stood
next to Gat, most of her weight on her left leg. She leaned
towards Gat and asked, “Do I have to go after him?”
Gat shook his head, “Forget about it, he’ll be fine.” Shaundi
nodded, “Good.” She muttered under her breath, she then knelt
down and grabbed her TEK Z-10 from where she’d thrown it when
she dove for cover, she could hear helicopter rotors and sirens
outside. She asked, “How long till the chopper gets here?”
Evelyn then replied, thinking as she went. “I dunno.. Maybe
like… two waves of SWAT guys?”
Shaundi nodded as she cocked the gun. “Sounds about right.” She
stood, then looked over at Evelyn as she drew from the Gat
costume a rifle of some kind. Where the hell did that costume
hold that thing? Shaundi shook her head, it was inspired by Gat,
the man always seemed to have a machine gun somewhere on him, be
it down his pants leg or something.
Gat then said, “Here they come!” Shaundi saw a black bar get
tossed at her, she looked at it for a split second before she
yelled, “FLASH BANG!” And dove the other way, shutting her eyes
tightly and rolling into a cubical. The glass in the cube was
blown out by the shockwave of the flash bang, bits of it landed
in her hair. She shook It off, then stood, and aimed her TEK
Z-10 at SWAT as they repelled down from the choppers and into
the building. After she, Gat, and Evelyn had shot a few, Shaundi
yelled, “I’m gonna kill Birk if I see him again!”
She then kicked at a SWAT man in the balls, she heard a
satisfying crunch and he gripped his area, then collapsed and
wheezed for breath. “Aaw, I thought you two really had something
there.” Evelyn jokingly stated, trying to lighten the mood.
Shaundi didn’t care that she was trying to lighten the mood, she
was pissed at Birk for not listening and bringing this BS onto
them. “Ooh don’t even go there.” She snapped back as she
twisted, dodging a punch, and kicked with her left foot, nailing
a man in the stomach.
After a few more minutes of constant fighting, helping Evelyn,
and more fighting, The SWAT relaxed up a bit and the Chopper
flew in, and hovered to where Evelyn could hook the Vault up to
the chopper. Evelyn did so, and grabbed her rifle off of the
Vault, holding onto one of the cords with one hand, the Rifle
with the other. “Go, Go, go!” Evelyn Yelled at the chopper Pilot
to get her and the vault out of there.
“You two go out the back!” Evelyn ordered, gesturing to the two
of them with her rifle. “And you?” Shaundi inquired, but she
already knew, and dreaded, the answer before it escaped Evelyn’s
lips. “I’m staying with the vault.” Shaundi nodded slightly,
then she heard more gunfire as cops burst through what windows
remained. “See you when we touch down, Be careful!” Shaundi
hollered to Evelyn as she leveled her TEK Z-10 and began to cut
a path to a doorway for Her and Gat to get out of and down the
stairs.
This was much easier than Shaundi anticipated, they where down
on the first floor within minutes. “That seemed a bit… too easy,
wouldn’t you say?” Shaundi asked as she shouldered open the door
leading to the Alleyway. “Freeze!” Yelled a squad leader, the
squad that he led was circled around the door, guns trained with
lasers all over Shaundi and Gat. “Hands up, don’t make any
sudden moves.” Shaundi glanced at Gat, wondering if she should
even try it. Gat then, to Shaundi’s surprise, raised his arms
and let his pistol fall to the ground.
Shaundi heaved a sigh, and did the same with her TEK Z-10, and
let herself be handcuffed and tossed into the back of a police
cruiser next to Gat, who was also handcuffed, but Gat was also
shackled. “Fame isn’t everything, is it, Mr. Gat?” Asked the
squad leader as he got into the front seat of the car and gunned
the engine, speeding off towards downtown. Shaundi looked back
at the bank, she winced. She saw the helicopter and the vault
come crashing down to the ground. She just prayed that Evelyn
wasn’t on the Vault when it hit rock bottom.

Here's the next chapter guys, I hope you enjoy! :D
[glow=purple,2,300]I’m Free, Free-Falling!
[/glow]
There had been a long line of criminals to be processed, a line
which took two hours to get through, but what else was new. “At
last, I finally get to process in a Saint.” Said the officer on
processing duty. Shaundi rolled her eyes. “We paid up this
month, I watched boss do it, What’s goin’ on?” Shaundi snapped,
but the man didn’t say anything, he just held out his hand for
hers so she could be fingerprinted. She muttered curse words as
they handed her the sign with her name on it and stood her in
front of the height board and took her mug shot. During the last
one she flipped off the camera, which earned her a few dirty
looks.
Gat was next, the man that frisked him got a bit too friendly
for Gat’s taste, making Gat head butt the fucker so hard that
the man’s nose broke. “Jew brooke mah nooseee!” Hollared the
man, holding his nose which was now gushing blood. “Shouldn’t
have frisked me then.” Gat replied dryly, standing calmly like
nothing happened.
Shaundi peered down the line of processes’ to be, no sign of
Evelyn. She set her jaw slightly, then waited to be escorted to
a cell. As the police men grabbed her roughly by the arm, she
winced slightly. She wasn’t used to being manhandled like she
used to, seeing as she hadn’t been in Stilwater Correctional for
years. They walked past several halls of prisoners, all wolf
whistling at her, earning them all snide glances which shut them
up. They finally came to a cell, the one in the crappiest
condition she’d ever seen, and tossed her in there, Gat as well.
Shaundi stood, staring at her surroundings. There wasn’t so much
as a window in this dark concrete hole. Shaundi flipped the
covers back on the bed, not that she intended to sleep on it,
but to see what condition it was in. As soon as she flipped the
blanket back, she saw several bugs scurry around. She shuddered,
and threw the blanket back over the mattress.
She took a seat on the floor, her legs bent slightly in front of
her. She laid her head in her left hand, thinking. Gat too sat,
but he didn’t look nearly as depressed as Shaundi felt. Shaundi
expected Gat to say something witty like, “Yo, Chin up girl,
we’ll be otta here in no time.” Or “Grow a pair, girl. I taught
you better than that.” But there was no witty remark, no quip
about how depressed she looked, not so much as a comment as to
why she was allowed to keep on her heeled boots, which Shaundi
learned the hard way back in the day, could be dangerous for
fights in prison.
What seemed like Several hours passed, until they heard
footsteps, some heeled, down the hallway. Then they heard the
latch of the cell open up, to Reveal Evelyn, beautiful as ever,
being escorted there by three guards. They opened the cell,
un-cuffed Evelyn, then tossed her in with her and Gat. She
didn’t fall, she caught herself stumbling, and she inquired
scathingly, “What the fuck is this? We paid up this month!”
Evelyn wore a dark purple Blazer with a grey vest underneath, a
pair of black pants with a gun holster and knife sheath
equipped, and a pair of knee high boots, heeled, of course.
Typical Evelyn. Shaundi had to admit though, Evelyn looked damn
good, especially for having just robbed a bank and nearly gotten
killed because of it.
Evelyn’s hair was as it usually was, Straight with a bit of wave
at the end, bangs tucked behind her right ear, exposing the
Diamond studded earrings that her Mother gave her when she was
younger. Shaundi wanted to perk up a bit, Just having Evelyn
there did make her feel better.
One of the guards then smugly replied, “Someone paid more.” The
cell door was then slammed shut and bolted. Shaundi stood, and
hugged Evelyn. “I’m ok, Shaundi.” Evelyn whispered into her ear.
Gat asked, “What happened?” Shaundi parted from Evelyn, then
snapped back, “We got arrested.” Gat shook his head, “No, to us.
Birk’s right, we traded our Dicks in for Pussies. Seriously..
Movie Deals? Commercials? The Saints name used to mean more than
spray tans and some ass tasting energy drink.”
Gat had a point… Shaundi kept her mouth shut though, she wanted
to see Evelyn’s stance on this. “Our brand’s worth a shitload of
money…” Evelyn said slowly, looking Gat up and down carefully.
“Is that what it’s all about?” Just as Shaundi was going to make
her presence known in the conversation, a female voice that
echoed through the halls interrupted with, “It’s always about
the money, Mr. Gat.” They all looked at the voice’s owner. She
was pretty, she wore a black turtleneck, with a chain belt
around her waist. Dangling from that chain, was a star. Gang
sign maybe? She also wore a knee length skirt, some black
leggings, and a pair of black knee high boots that Evelyn was no
doubt jealous of. Behind her, a squad of the same guards wearing
black and red filed into the cell, the women where still slutty,
and the men still looked barely put together. “Which is
precisely why our employer wishes to speak with you.” Continued
the woman, her face was soft, she looked almost like her friend
from years back, Denise. God… what would Denise say about how
Shaundi turned around? Shaundi’s thoughts then turned to her
choker… she still wore it every day.
Shaundi looked back at the woman, to see another one that looked
just like her, wore the exact same clothes, same face, but had a
slightly different voice. Her hair, like the other ones, was jet
black and pulled up into a high ponytail, bangs framing both
their faces. Both wore sunglasses on top of their head, the
first one wore White sunglasses, the other one wore Pink. The
one in the pink sunglasses said, “If you’ll indulge us…?”
Both smiled, and cued their bodyguards to grab them. Shaundi and
Evelyn didn’t resist being handcuffed with guns at their backs,
Gat, however, resisted a lot. He punched the man in the face,
but Evelyn ordered, “Gat, just let it go.” The one in the white
sunglasses nodded a thanks, and said, “Good, Get your attack dog
to heel.” Shaundi shot her a go to hell look, as did Gat and
Evelyn.
They where forced out of the cell, and down the hallway, into
the lobby of Stilwater Correctional. It, along with the rest of
the island, had been drastically updated from last time Shaundi
was here. “Get them into the boats, we need to get in the air in
20 minutes!” Hollered the one with the Pink sunglasses to the
men and women escorting them down the concrete steps, and to the
gate. She looked around, their where a few fleur-de-lis spray
painted on the walls, Shaundi had to smile at this, they owned
everything in this city. She looked up at the night sky. Shaundi
looked back, she remembered just before Evelyn woke up, she had
been released and VC was here, trying to get her to come back
with him. She gave him the cold shoulder and gotten a ride back
to shore, scored some pot, and partied her ass off till she got
a call from Gat that would change her life, forever.
Looking back, Shaundi didn’t regret a goddamn thing. She just
hoped that if she had to do it again, she’d be able to keep
Evelyn from getting into meth like she did. By now, they where
at the docks, being helped into speedboats that would take them
to the airport, most likely. Shaundi and Evelyn where separated
in the two different boats, she was alone with the guards and
the woman with the White sunglasses, Evelyn, the woman with the
Pink sunglasses, and Johnny where in the other, as well as some
guards. Shaundi sat, looking around the city. She had a sinking
feeling that this would be the last time she’d see it for a
while.

She gazed upon the skyline, which, like all of
Stilwater, changed a lot since the old days. The Philips
building still shone with beauty, still being the tallest
building in Stilwater by a large margin. The floodlights that
once shot orange light into the air by night, now spewed Purple
light, and instead of an Ultor logo up top. There was a large
Fleur-de-lis. Shaundi smiled as she remembered the day she was
told she could work up in the Philips building if she wished,
she pounced on the chance to have Dane Vogel’s office. They had
offered to repair the bullet holes in the columns and statues,
but Shaundi insisted on them staying, as a reminder of what
they’d been through to get to this point.
Shaundi wished that Evelyn had been sober for more of the last
five years, while the last two and a half where absolute heaven,
She wished she could have shared the Saints rise to fame with
Evelyn, whereas Evelyn had been thrown into it once she got back
from Prison. Even in prison though, Evelyn had told Shaundi
about times when reporters had come to visit and interview her,
and Every single time, Evelyn had told them all to go fuck
themselves, usually with something hard and covered in
sandpaper. Shaundi smirked, then the woman with the Pink
sunglasses said, “What are you smirking at?” Shaundi wiped the
smirk from her face, and said nothing. “That’s what I thought,
Skank.” Said the woman, Shaundi looked at her with distain in
her eyes.
“If you would look at any of the stuff on the Saints website,
you’d know that I wanna sleep with Shaundi is fake.” The woman
rolled her eyes, “That’s what they all say. ‘oh we where just
kidding, blah, blah, blah.’ I know a skank when I see one.”
Shaundi muttered, “Takes one to know one.” under her breath,
which earned her a slap in the face. Shaundi then smirked once
more, then in a vindictive tone she promised, “I can’t wait
till I shove a gun down your throat and watch you squirm while I
pull the trigger.”
The woman’s eyes widened slightly, “Guards, make this trashy hoe
shut up.” One of the guards stood slightly, raised his gun, and
smacked her in the side of the head with the butt of it. A
starburst of pain exploded in the left temple of her head, and
she tried to cling to consciousness, but failed, and the world
went black.
When she came to, she was in the clutches of two of the guards
in black and red. Her arms hurt, that was where they where
holding her, letting her feet drag the ground as they walked to
the largest airplane Shaundi had ever seen. Evelyn was trying
to claw her way out of the clutches of the security team and
make her way over to her, but the guards had guns pressed into
Evelyn’s head, back, and neck. Shaundi placed her feet on the
ground once more, and started stumbling along, shaking her head
slightly to clear her vision, she slowly started walking
normally again.
“I’m ok, Ev.” Shaundi mouthed to Evelyn, Evelyn stopped trying
to fight so hard and let herself be hauled onto the gigantic
aircraft. Gat was escorted onto the plane after Evelyn, he
wasn’t fighting or talking at all. Shaundi knew that look on his
face though, it was raw determination and fury. She reminded
herself to stay out of his way.
Shaundi was then escorted onto the plane, as she walked through
the cargo bay with the others in front of her, she scanned the
room for every little detail. There where crates, cars, and
trucks everywhere, making a labyrinth that they had to weave
their way through to get to a Staircase which led them to the
main part of the plane.
The Aisles where bigger than any plane she’d ever seen, if she
had to guess, the aisle was at least 10 or so feet wide, with
Large Plasma Screens on either side of the door, their where
rows of three seats and six rows. They went past this
compartment, into the next one which was even nicer than the
last. This must have been where first class sat, because there
weren’t any seats, it was like a cocktail lounge. The floors,
walls, and seats where various shades of Red, ranging from pink
to blood red. In the center of the floor, was a large pink Star,
similar to the one dangling from the two women’s belts, and
exact copies of the ones that where hanging from the bank walls
earlier.
Evelyn was escorted through yet another door, as well as Gat and
Shaundi. Shaundi was drinking every little detail in, she knew
they where going to have to escape from this plane somehow, in
some way. They then turned a corner, and where shoved into three
seats that sat bolted to the floor in the center of the room.
The floor of this room was carpeted in red, there was a desk in
front of a large, 92” plasma screen, which showed nothing but a
black screen at the moment. The two women went to either side of
the desk, and stood with one hand on their hips, the other
hanging by their side. The two of them had choreography or
something, no set of twins was ever that coordinated without
practice.
Shaundi was seated on the far left of the row of three seats,
Gat to her right, and Evelyn next to him. Shaundi kept her eyes
forward, the fact that the woman with the pink Sunglasses
thought that Shaundi’s show was real shows that they knew very
little about the Saints, meaning they didn’t know about her and
Evelyn, unless Evelyn clawing at the guards to get to her was
any indication, she hoped it wasn’t.
A few minutes passed, and the plane took off, during which time
the twins took seats on either sides of the plane. Once they
where in the air, however, the twins took their positions once
more and the guards stood by their sides once more. Nobody moved
or said anything for several minutes, Shaundi and Evelyn looked
around, occasionally catching each others eyes but looking away
quickly, neither one making direct eye contact for more than a
second.
Gat stared straight ahead, staring at the back of the chair that
sat in front of the curved desk. After about half an hour of
this, The office chair swiveled around, to reveal a man in a
black suit. His undershirt was black as well, but his tie was a
light pink. He wore a blood red scarf draped around his neck,
his right hand had a cigarette clutched loosely in it. His hair
was combed back neatly, only one small strand away from the
rest, his hair completely white. Shaundi had many questions as
to who this man may be, then he started talking and answering
these questions as if he was reading her mind.
“You have any idea who you’re fucking with here?” Evelyn
inquired, looking the man in the eye and fidgeting with her
handcuffs slightly. The man looked unimpressed, and said, “Of
course.” The woman who wore the white sunglasses grabbed
something from behind her back, and placed it on the desk, it
was a Johnny Gat bobble head. The man tapped the oversized head
on the bobble head, and said, “A remarkable likeness.” Shaundi
knew what he was getting at, he was calling Gat big headed. She
made a mental note to slap him a few times before she helped
Evelyn kill him.
He continued, “These visions are Viola and Kiki” He gestured to
the one with the white sunglasses first, making her Viola, then
to the one with the pink sunglasses, making her Kiki. Kiki?
Really? That must be short for something. He continued once
more, “And I am Phillipe Loren, Chairman of a multi-national
organization called the Syndicate.” He had a thick accent of
some sort, French, maybe?
Shaundi decided to be the one to speak, and she quipped, “Never
heard of it.” Phillipe took a drag off of his cigarette, and
then said, “Evidently not, or you would not have robbed our
bank. Perhaps you wonder why you are still breathing at this
point?” His accent was killing Shaundi, he spoke fast and needed
to enunciate some words, it was hard to understand him, but she
caught everything.
“Actually, I wonder why my foot’s not up your ass at this
point.” Snarled Gat, leaning forward and sounding menacing, yet
staying calm. Shaundi was yet to perfect how he did that,
whenever she tried she always failed. Phillipe chuckled
slightly, then stood and said, “Like it or not Mr. Gat, our
organization is expanding into Stilwater.” Like hell he was,
Shaundi was going to defend Stilwater, and everything they’d
fought for the last seven years weather Evelyn and Gat helped or
not. Phillipe continued, “I am offering you the chance to
leverage your assets, against your lives. Ladies?”
Phillipe gestured to the twins, and stepped out of their line of
sight. Shaundi watched as the screen flicked to life, revealing
a circle graph with a lot of pink, and a small sliver of purple
on it. Did that represent what she thought it did? She looked at
the key on the side, there was a purple box which read, “Saints”
and then a Pink box which read, “Syndicate” She already didn’t
like the looks of this.
The one in the white sunglasses, Viola, said in a voice fit for
an infomercial or a sales clerk, “You may continue to operate
the Saints-Ultor Media group as you see fit, in exchange for
Sixty-six percent of your monthly gross revenue.” Fuck me… there
was no way Evelyn would agree to that, Shaundi thought to
herself.
“That is before taxes, of course.” added the other one, Kiki.
Evelyn then chimed in, and collectively began to tell them to
fuck off with, “Listen you French fuck-” Phillipe cut her off,
and said, “Please, I am Belgian!” Gat so sensitively said “So
make yourself a fucking waffle, we’re done here.” Shaundi
smirked, then wiped it off her face when Phillipe spoke once
more.
He clicked his tongue, and said, “And I so hoped to come to a
rational business arrangement.” Phillipe turned, and walked off
to the other end of the cabin of the plane, a guard walked up
with a silver .45 Shepherd in hand, cocked it, and placed it at
Gat’s forehead. Shaundi panicked for a split second, before she
could hear the sound of metal bowing as Gat literally ripped his
seat out of the floor of the plane and lunged at the man,
knocking him over.
Gat was apparently out of his handcuffs, Shaundi guessed he was
for a while now. The man with the gun dropped it, and had a
stunned, “What the fuck?” look on his face. Johnny kneeled on
top of the man, and punched him twice, knocking him out cold.
Phillipe turned, and snapped open a switch blade, stepping
towards Gat slightly. Gat stood, turned, and approached
Phillipe. Shaundi had a flashback of the battle between Jyunichi
and Gat, where Jyunichi had skewered Gat’s side. Phillipe’s
switchblade skewered the same side as last time, Gat stopped for
a second, then Shaundi smirked. In the surgery after Gat was
stabbed, they accidentally caused catastrophic nerve damage to
that side of Gat’s stomach, he couldn’t feel a thing on that
side of his abdomen.
Gat grabbed Phillipe by the shoulder and neck, and ran towards
the side of the plane, smashing Phillipe’s head through a
window. This depressurized the plane, causing a wind tunnel to
erupt through the cabin of the plane. The Twins where on
Phillipe in an instant, who was now covering his face and
screaming. Did he loose an eye? It made sense seeing as they had
depressurized a plane with his face. Phillipe still stood, both
hands covering his left eye, screaming in pain. The twins
grabbed him from either side, and pulled him back to another
compartment, likely a medical one.
A guard rushed at Gat, who merely kicked the guard in his
stomach, then punched him in the face. Gat took the switchblade
out of his side, and cut the zip ties on Shaundi and Evelyn’s
wrists. Shaundi stood, rubbing her wrists, and jumped slightly
as Gat threw the switchblade at the captain, who had come back
there and asked, “What the hell’s goin-” but was cut off as the
blade skewered his head.
“Boss, you gotta bail!” Yelled Gat, pointing at Evelyn. Evelyn
stayed put and yelled back, “No! Not without you!” Six men and
women in red, syndicate guards, rushed in with TEK Z-10’s and
open fired at the three of them. Shaundi took the lead on this,
she ran behind the bar at the back of the room and ducked,
Evelyn and Gat followed suit.
“There’s like, half a dozen guys? I can take ‘em.” Gat said,
peeking out of cover slightly to observe the situation. “What
about the plane?” Shaundi hollered over the roar of the wind,
Shaundi was suddenly very thankful she’d put her hair up that
morning, Evelyn’s hair was flying about crazily, but Evelyn
ignored it, she must have had it clipped to where the bangs
stayed out of her face.
“I’ll fly it back to Stilwater.” Gat said, leaning towards her
so he didn’t have to yell so loud. What? That was the most
ridiculous thing that Shaundi ever heard come out of Gat’s
mouth, the man couldn’t even drive stick, let alone a damn plane
the size of a fuckin’ cruise ship! “Johnny, you can’t even drive
stick, how you gonna fly a plane?” Gat waved her off as he said,
“Details Details-- Just cover Ev, Go, I’ve got this!” Without
the chance to protest more, Johnny got out of cover, took a
Syndicate man’s gun, and began firing at the Syndicate guards,
which more had appeared. Shaundi ran through the open door into
the cocktail lounge, Evelyn closely behind her. Johnny slammed
and locked the door behind them.
Evelyn leaned against the door, arms spread to where nobody
could get through. Shaundi could still hear Gat firing at the
guards, A strong feeling of worry rose in her chest. “We can’t
leave Johnny!” Evelyn leaned off the door, and gestured to two
syndicate goons, “Gat’s fine, We have bigger problems.”
Shaundi went for the one closest to her, a skinny man wearing a
red shirt, a blazer, and some black slacks with some fugly
looking shoes. She flipped him over her shoulder, and as his
midsection followed the momentum through, she kicked, hard, and
heard the satisfying crack of his neck. A woman in a slutty
outfit revealing a lot of skin came at her next, a third man
went after Evelyn, but Shaundi knew that the third one was
already dead, she wouldn’t even bother looking at him.
“Attention passengers, this is your new captain speaking, our
updated flight plan has us landing in Stilwater.” Shaundi rolled
her eyes, as if they didn’t’ already know this. She then heard
Phillipe spouting off something in French, then she heard a
punching sound, and “I’d like to remind all passengers to remain
seated, and enjoy the flight.”
She kicked the man’s leg’s out from under him, making him
collapse to the red carpet which they all stood on. She then
knelt down, and began punching him repeatedly. After five
punches, the drew back her fist for a powerful, skull crushing
sixth blow. With this last punch, blood came seeping out of his
mouth, his eyes closed, and Shaundi knew she could add another
one to her body count.
She stood, to see Evelyn watching her, having taken out her mark
in less than a few seconds. “What?” Shaundi inquired, raising
her eyebrows at her. Evelyn shook her head, “I’m just impressed,
that’s all.”
“I can see some of our passengers are getting a little reckless,
here’s some music for your enjoyment.” announced Gat from the
cockpit, pressing a button and making some easy listening play
over the speaker system. “Aaand now Gat has a mic… nice.” Evelyn
said as the door to the next lower class opened, three more
Syndicate goons in there. One of which, who had opened the door,
came at Evelyn. Evelyn merely punched him in the face, then
spun, and kicked him in the stomach, letting him fall to the
ground as she kept going into the rest of the compartment. The
man wasn’t dead yet, so Shaundi walked up to him, and stomped,
hard, hearing a snap from his neck. Shaundi didn’t think much of
it, she just kept walking after Evelyn. Just after she got
through the doorway, the plane lurched, making Shaundi stumble
to keep her balance. Thank god for large aisles. “My apologies,
your captain is having trouble finding the clutch.”
The man that remained had a gun, a .45 Shepherd. Shaundi rushed
at him, but was beaten to the punch by Evelyn, who flipped him
over her shoulder and kicked him in the neck. As he flipped, he
let go of his gun, which Shaundi caught and cocked before the
man hit the ground. Evelyn saw that she had gotten the man’s
gun, and nodded in approval.
Another man came out of the bathroom, which Shaundi just shot as
soon as she saw him. Evelyn said, “Thanks baby.” As she grabbed
his gun off the floor. Shaundi smiled, “Welcome, Ev.” They both
got to either side of the door to the cargo bay, and Shaundi
said, “Stick together, you got me?” Evelyn nodded, “Gotcha.” She
opened the door, leading them to the balcony which overlooked
the cargo bay.
Evelyn took the man that stood there hostage, Shaundi stood next
to her and fired at a syndicate woman who was standing on the
balcony farther down, on the side of the plane which was blocked
to her by crates. “Yo, I’m opening the cargo bay doors, grab
some chutes and jump out, it should be clear!” Gat announced
over the loudspeaker, Shaundi nodded, as if he could see her.
The shots connected, rendering the syndicate woman dead as a
doornail. Evelyn capped the human Shield by bending him over her
knee, and firing one through his skull, then letting the body
hit the floor.
Shaundi followed Evelyn down the staircase, she held her gun at
the ready, just waiting for a syndicate goon to be stupid enough
to try to take them down. She could hear a struggle over the
loudspeaker, almost like Phillipe had attacked Gat. “You’re
gonna need more help than that, frenchy!” Gat taunted, issuing
an, “I.. am… Belgian!” from Phillipe. “I’m going to cut that
disrespectful tongue from your mouth.” Threatened the
unmistakable voice of Phillipe, to which Gat replied, “Oh yeah?
You and how many of your… oh, that many.” The loud speaker then
cut off, and Shaundi hoped that Gat could take them all, she
didn’t want to have to deal with loosing her city, and her best
friend.
The plane lurched, she stumbled into a car, which triggered it’s
alarm to start going off. “Great.” She muttered, still following
Evelyn, who had already made a significant trail of bodies
through the labyrinth of crates and cars. Three more goons
later, and Shaundi holstered the .45 Shepherd as Evelyn grabbed
a chute, put it on her back, and Shaundi ran to the comm unit by
the open cargo bay door. She pressed the “Talk” button, and
said, “Johnny, we’re about to jump!” A few seconds passed, in
which Shaundi heard a slight struggle. Gat then said, “Right
on, I’ll see you in Stil-” but was cut off by the sounds of
several gunshots from a TEK Z-10, and static. Shaundi jumped
slightly, and leaned towards the comm unit more. “Johnny?”
Shaundi asked, her eyes brimming with tears.

---------------------------------------------------------
Evelyn stood a few feet away, she too looked like she was going
to cry. Shaundi started over to Evelyn so that they could get
out of the plane before it began to crash, but the plane lurched
severely and it shifted some of the cargo out of it’s place,
starting it to be sucked out of the open cargo door. Shaundi and
Evelyn both fought for balance, Evelyn lost her balance first,
followed by Shaundi a second later. Evelyn had caught herself on
the cargo door, barely dodging a car rolling end over end past
her, and Shaundi knew that Evelyn could catch her, but she
yelled, “EV!” reaching out instinctively.
Shaundi felt Evelyn’s hand grasp her wrist tightly, and Shaundi
grabbed Evelyn’s with her other hand, she kicked her legs
slightly. It may have looked useless, but she was trying to get
to where she could grab onto Evelyn easier and they could
parachute down safely. A car dislodged from it’s lock, and began
rolling end over end down the open cargo door, followed by
several crates and another car. Evelyn looked up just in time to
see this, and let go before her hand was crushed by the car. In
the split second that Evelyn and Shaundi both loosened their
grips, Shaundi was sucked away from Evelyn, and was now several
hundred feet away from her.
FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! Was all Shaundi could think at the moment, she
remembered what the skydiving instructor told her and Evelyn
years ago, how to freefall properly. She did so, and prayed that
Evelyn could catch up to her soon. Shaundi snuck a few glances
back up to where Evelyn was, she had a human shield on her and
several syndicate goons diving after her, all with guns in hand.
Shaundi hoped that none of the bullets went through Evelyn’s
parachute.
After what seemed like an eternity, Evelyn finally shouted,
“-ang on Shawndi, I’m comin’!” Or at least, that’s all Shaundi
caught through the deafening roar of the wind that would not
give her ears a break. Shaundi observed all the crates, cars,
and dead bodies that where now falling down to the earth with
them, Shaundi was also thankful that she couldn’t see tops of
buildings yet, she guessed that the plane was way higher than
standard flight altitude, because this fall would have already
ended in her becoming a grease spot on the sidewalk or road
otherwise. Would Evelyn make it in time? She prayed so.
After a few more seconds, she felt an impact on her back, she
grunted, and then the reassuring and secure grip of Evelyn as
she yelled, “Gotcha!” as she pulled the cord on her chute,
holding Shaundi tightly in her arms. Shaundi was breathing
fast, she slowed it down slightly, and said, “I’m not gonna lie,
for a minute, I didn’t think you’d make it in time!” Evelyn
reassured, “See? Nothing to worry about, I got you- umm… what’s
that?” Shaundi yelled, “What is what?!?!”
“I think.. Yeah I’m pretty sure that plane is gonna hit us. Just
stay calm and don’t freak out!” Evelyn tried to reassure her,
but Shaundi did the opposite of what Evelyn told her to do.
“Wh-What do you mean, ‘don’t freak out‘, do you have a plan?”
“Yeah, I shoot through the windshield, dive through the plane,
kill that asshole Phillipe, then jump out the back again!”
Shaundi didn’t like the ‘I’ used in that sentence, so she asked,
“You mean we, right?” But she already knew the answer,
unfortunately.
“Promise you won’t hold this against me later, sweetie.” Evelyn
said, And Shaundi felt the pit of her stomach drop, even though
Evelyn hadn’t dropped her yet. She looked from the beautiful,
perfect face she’d come to love with all her being, to the
plane, then back to Evelyn, and to the plane once more. She then
felt Evelyn turn, and drop her. “Wait, wha- ASSHOLE!!!” Shaundi
yelled, flipping Evelyn off with both middle fingers. This was
insane, there was no way Evelyn could kill Phillipe, AND save
her, she was running out of space between the ground and
herself. She could see the tops of buildings several hundred
thousand feet below, and that did not seem like very far at the
rate she was falling.
Shaundi heard a wide array of sounds from above, one sounded
like lots of machine gun fire, and the other sounded like a
large explosion. Shaundi didn’t even want to know, just as long
as Evelyn was on her way to catch her again, she was fine. She
heard Evelyn yell, “Let go!” Shaundi turned, to see a syndicate
man on her, trying to strangle her. Evelyn elbowed him a few
times, then punched him, took his TEK Z-10, and fired both of
them into his chest. She then dove towards Shaundi, who was
still several hundred feet down from her. Please, please,
please, let her get here in time!
A matter of seconds later, Shaundi felt the reassuring embrace
of Evelyn once more, and she grunted as the chute was pulled,
jerking them up and slowing them down. “I’m here!” Evelyn
shouted, rubbing Shaundi’s arm slightly with her thumb, trying
to calm her down.
“You’re a fucking asshole!” Shaundi shouted, staring Evelyn in
the face, she was furious, but thankful at the same time.
“True…” Evelyn said, not even denying the fact that that was a
total bitch move. After about three minutes, they landed in a
back alley, Evelyn put down Shaundi and detached the parachute
from the backpack.
Evelyn slipped the backpack off as they walked, and tossed it
into a dumpster. Shaundi recognized the area, they where in
Steelport, probably the shittiest town in all of North America.
“We need guns, and cash.” Evelyn said as they turned a corner
to see a sidewalk full of people, Shaundi stepped over a bum who
was sleeping, he grabbed one of the straps on her left boot.
“Get the fuck off me!” She yelled, kicking her foot and getting
his hand loose, she kept walking, she stuck close to Evelyn, who
looked dazed by all the activity.
She then saw a man stick some money in a sluttily dressed
woman’s bra, and she knelt down, he unzipped his pants and-oh
god, that was the worst case of syphilis that Shaundi had ever
seen. She turned her head, and Evelyn kept walking as well.
There was an ATM at the end of the sidewalk, that was where they
where headed, after all, money is power in this city.
She looked around, Steelport had changed some as well, she
didn’t remember all the flashy lights around this section of the
city. She saw a man with a cardboard sign that read, “Feel Boss
Only $5!” Shaundi shuddered, she remembered coming here spring
break of college, she, like all others, wondered what Feel Boss
was…never again.
They reached the ATM, and Evelyn inserted the Saints card, and
input the withdraw amount, which she so subtly bumped up to
1,000,000. At first, the machine said, “Processing” then an
error message popped up, and said, “Insufficient funds!” Oh
shit… that wasn’t good, she new that the ATM was good for it,
that meant that the Saints account had somehow gone dry. That
was really, really not good. Evelyn’s eyes widened, then she
turned away, and laughed slightly. “Great… Just… FUCKING GREAT!”
She then turned, and slammed her fist into the screen, sending a
spider web crack through the thing, then making it go black.
Shaundi grabbed Evelyn’s shoulder, “Ev, calm down, we’re gonna
be ok.” She tried to sound soothing, but she wasn’t very calm
herself. Evelyn nodded, “Yeah, ok. Sorry… do you know how much
money we had?” Shaundi shook her head, “No, how much?” “We had
28 Million. Now we have nothing. Jack. Fucking. Shit!” Evelyn
then punched the screen again, this time the glass cut her
knuckles, she screamed, “FUCK!”
Well this was great, Her best friend in the world was probably
dead, they where in a city that Shaundi has only been to once,
and she was high off her ass the whole time she was here, AND
they where out 28 million. Could today get any better? She asked
herself, fighting back tears.
