Next Fallout Game
By: jameson18 Date: January 16, 2012, 12:36 pm

Been trying to get back into New Vegas again and started to
wonder what is next for the Fallout franchise. I saw a video
yesterday that was by far, the best fake trailer for a game I
have ever seen. I'll post a link to the vid when I find it
again. Anyway.... What do you guys think will be next for
Fallout? I'd like the game to either go two ways.
First Way: The world slowly dies as well as its inhabitants....
After the nuclear apocalypse the worlds population dwindles as
people try to rebuild, but find it difficult due to the lack of
clean water and resources to continue survival. The MC struggles
to survive like no other Fallout character before. The missions
would have the MC traveling the wasteland looking for a new home
and helping people along the as the years go by the population
continues to thin... Everyone slowly dies away.
I know that was kind of extremely bland, but the vision I have
in my head is extraordinary for the game, and the ending is
dramatic and sad.
Second Way: People are re-advancing in construction and
technology and the game starts out in a city half built. It
would start out a small city, but instead of like in Fallout 3
where time progresses by a few months or years at a time while
in the vault, but by years and decades as the story goes on. The
overall story would have the MC helping the advance of
technology and help bring not only the surrounding wasteland
back together, but the MC would also serve as a beacon of hope
for survival for the entire world.
I like that ending a lot more, both endings though the MC would
die. One would mean more than the other though. Sorry, it was
again pretty bland.

I had planned on getting the ultimate edition of new vegas it
comes out next month.
Idealy FO4 should takeplace n the commonwealth.
That way the enclave and BOS could return, but this time around
you should be able to choose the enclave as a joinable faction.
and the makeshift settlements from FO3, megaton and rivet city i
thought were really neat. there should be more in FO4 like
subway town in rage.
damn dude you got me eager for a new fallout game and it
probably wont be till next yr before we see another one.

Honestly, I have no clue where I want the fallout series to go,
I just want Fallout 4 rather than an entire "Fallout 3: Stories
of the Wasteland" thing. You know, Fallout 3 and Fallout 3.5
a.k.a. New Vegas. Kind of like I'm waiting for Assassin's Creed
3 since we already have "Assassin's Creed 2: The Ezio Trilogy"
Would also like one that let's you continue the game after the
MQ, even if they do kill you at the end. Kind of like what
Sucker Punch did with inFAMOUS 2. But as it is, I'm enjoying the
direction the franchise is heading, I would just like to see a
proper sequel to 3.

I reckon that somewhere completely new would fit the bill.
California, Chicago, Texas, Washington and Nevada have been done
right?
How about Carolina, or Florida?
Something I would like to see a Vault that is still closed and
perfect, nothing had gone wrong.
I would like a story where you actually have to build a town,
and like 1 or 5 places, that'll give you you're choice and
replay value and fighting of raiders, doing favours to get
traders coming through.
Just an idea though.
Still going to pre-order it soon as I can, because I love the
fallout series.

Its actually kinda hard to think of something new for the game,
I'm they did cities and a desert wasteland, I have no idea what
they would have to do next. Make it in a sky fortress?

Or areas like the SE U.S.? Lot's of plains and woodland areas. I
know I'd love to take a trek through Atlanta, then wind up in
the woods on a foggy night and end up in a creepy cabin in the
middle of said woods, then attacked by Nightkin or Ghouls, or
just have a spectacularly creepy side mission.
You know, the woody areas of Honest Hearts, but thicker. A
setting like AMC's The Walking Dead (for anyone who's seen it)
would be perfect (the ranch in season 2 would be a great setting
for a mission or player home), plus I just want to see a Fallout
game in a Georgia-type setting. Beautiful state for anyone who
has never been.

I'd like to see more travel, like link a few states together in
game. I know for 360 it would most likely need to be on more
than one disk like that, but it would be worth it.

Iceman I watch the walking dead religiously, hours after it is
aired in the USA, anyway, I agree it would be sick as to have it
there, but also have parts of it like the capital wasteland
where the radiation has destroyed the area.
Maybe even have rain included with some very minor radiation
when it does.

@hoohoo, Well, it took 3 discs for L.A. Noire, so I wouldn't
complain. If only Microsoft would just accept defeat and ask for
a little help in the disc space department
(*cough*Blu-Ray*cough* it could be a trade thing. You know, you
help us with our disc space problem, we'll help you with your
RAM problem) or just hurry up and make their own disc to rival
Sony's. Or, and this is a crazy idea....since I have a PS3 now,
I could buy for that system. Better yet, forgo the ram and disc
space problems and just download it for PC.
A bigger game world would be nice though. I mean it's already
supposed to be a barren land, why not give us more to look at
and more interesting non scripted events? I'd imagine as long as
Bethesda's been in the game, they've got SOME ideas they've just
been dying to try out, right?
