Red Dead Redemption

seriously how does this not have its own thread!?!?
one of the greatest sandbox games ever made
you get to playout the west like a real cowboy hunting down
animals killing banditos its the ultimate western experience
without being there otherwise you'd be dead. it takes real
cajones to live back in them times..
i sold my copy like a dumbass but im getting it back, theres a
goty edition with everything included i wanna get. i love it
when they do that kind of thing with games because i dont have
videogame internet and its nice to be able to fully enjoy the
game the way it was meant to be played.

Surprisingly, the stranger you meet that seems to know who you
are even though you've never met him is my favorite part of that
game. The entire game is beautiful, immersive enough to pull me
in (any game is going to have immersion breakers, but this one
handles them quite well IMO) while not getting boring, and is
just so much fucking fun, but that stranger is just
so....mysterious and *SPOILER* it leaves you hanging, though
there are many theories as to who he is. The last encounter is
at the spot marston ends up buried and the guy is talking about
how it's a mighty fine spot. Oh, and he can't be killed. *END
SPOILER* I just love the cutscenes with that guy.

people say that guy is god
and when marston says "god damn it" the stranger says "most
people do" which might mean that he is god? though i dont think
god would take on the form of a man just to help guide another
on the path to rightousness thats something he would send jesus
christ to earth to get done.
RDR really is fun though and my favorite thing is the random
encounters. ive actually had two encounters at once when a guy
was asking me to save his wife a man being chased by a cougar
cut across the screen and i was morally stuck having to choose
which person to save, its decisions like that that make
redemption such an awesome game. the same applies also to undead
nightmare, its left up to you rather you wanna save people from
zombies or just let the towns die. theres just too much going on
R* do no make bad games, even bully was a fun and adventurous
title.

I loved bully, but chemistry class always slowed my pc down, and
i wasn't paying for it again just to play on xbox. I cut my
losses rather than spend more money that i needed.

i had it for PS2 and then they cameout with a version for the
360 and it had more stuff new classes but didnt matter because
in both reality and virtural reality i suck at math. What i
liked best about bully was pulling off pranks like the best
prank of all is scattering marbles close to the exits and then
pulling the firealarm so when the kids try to get out they trip
over the marbles lol stinkbombs were fun too.

Boxing Bears? I just about shit my pants every time I saw a bear
in RDR, just like in skyrim. 'Cept in skyrim it's because, if
you aren't paying attention, those bears are some sneaky sons o'
bitches. And in RDR because I always forgot to buy/pick up ammo.

both RDR and skyrim have random encounters
and in both games you can get mauled to death by bears

Yeah, but at least the bears in RDR always announced their
presence to me

with a loud roar?
i dont have much problem with the bears in skyrim so much as it
is those damn sabre cats, theyre the cougars of skyrim.
they hide where you cant see em and when your right where they
want you they pounce on your ass
