SR3 was god awful in comparison to the awesomeness that was part
2.

I think SR2 was better than SR:TT.

sometime in 07-08 Despite what my account says, I know I was on
the boards before SR2 came out because I used to harass imacman
about full city zombies being in the game.
Forum issues:
-Inferior Forum capabilities (No IM, 18+ Censorship hypocrisy,
Lack of HTML mode or something for people on smartphones to
access the site easier)
-Very limited insentive to stay on the boards because when a
problem arises, moderation is slow to react. Older forumers
should be moderators or have limited capabilities to take care
of situations. most boards have an administrator and then
several mods. V-Singular should focus on his administrative
forum duties and leave much of the actual board to people like
us, who are not only on the boards more than he is, but could
cover more ground.
-No incentives for long term members to stay. We almost never
got anything for being forum members that anyone else could not
achieve. In other words, any information about the game always
came from magazines, other websites or leaks from elsewhere. We
never learned anything of value for being members of the board.
I know this to be true because I did the SR:TT Information
thread for a few months, nothing came to us from Volition, so
why even be a member? And the wack contests never really were
exciting enough to warrant care from everyone.
Suggestions:
-Listen to members who have earned their stripes. If you've been
a member for more than two years, you know what you're talking
about. You've seen the old site(s), you have experienced
different things regarding SRF. Things we suggest should not be
ignored or stalled on. we're trying to make the site better.
-Expedient reaction. If V-Singular can't react to trolls, or
whatever, in time, then it shows he needs help. Assign
moderators. And it's not a popularity contest, but someone like
Ayngel has proven her merit. She's been the admin here and
everyone approves, or any of us that were made mods have shown
we can do it like Hydro for example. We're not asking for money
(not saying we dont want it lol), but if he hasnt done it
because he thinks we're trying to get paid, it's not that.
-Fix said problems.
Additional information:
There should NEVER be sides to a moderator. They should only
have one side "doing what's right". Not helping those who have
gained favor, ignoring those who have lost it.

Meh, I don't know if having more mods would have helped. I
remember back in the iMac days the rules could be bent a little
bit more. The Gang/Clan section of the forum was always fun to
go to because of all the constant fighting ("turf wars")
between the groups. Stricter rules made the forums a nicer place
but took a lot of the fun out of it.
I used to dislike Sings moderation but have since come to
respect the guy for putting up with so much bullshit.
Adding more mods now would be pointless, the SRF is dead and
buried and the only real thing that will bring it back to life
is a mind blowing game. SRTT was not that game, hopefully The
Fourth will be. By the way, Sing, if you read this...slap the
guy who's idea it was to take out MP cause now we all see it was
a terribad idea.

Careful Migeto, the SP lynch mob will be labelling you an ethug
for expressing a like for MP...
A little piece of me died when I found out about the lack of MP
in SRTT, and that's how I discovered COD's MP...

I will start this off by stating yes I was very much
disappointed in Saint’s Row the Third but I have to say - that
is not the main reason I decided to leave. I would have most
likely still stuck around if it was not for the major issues
with the Forum :-(
I feel that there is less moderator input:
That was one of the things I had admired about the forum when I
signed up, was the friendly, hands on and active moderation team
(I was like “WOW actual people from Volition are talking to
me!”)
I also had a lot of respect for V-Singular who managed to be
actively corresponding with the SRF community, keeping things in
order all on his own for a good while -that was a lot of work
for one man to do.
But I felt towards the end (before the release of SRTT) all I
have listed above began to fall apart and there was less
moderator support. V-Singular had become more ruthless and was
very abrupt in some of his responses not only to me but other
members (a lot of the time it was to members who supported the
forum 100%)
The forum feels empty and lacks the heart and soul that once
went into the running of it unfortunately.
Forum Layout:
Not a fan of the new layout, yes it looks nice but I do not find
it practical and it has a lot of unnecessary features and bugs
....I don’t think anyone would have minded a more modernized
version of the old forum layout.
[glow=red,2,300]Suggestions:
[/glow]
- A Simplified Layout (boards and posting functions) and the
return of old features i.e. - PM, Join Date, and so on.
- More Moderators – cleaning up the boards, dealing with Trolls
and more feedback and responses given in a respectful and fair
manor.
- More attention needs to be focused on the forum

[shadow=white,left][glow=black,2,300]I don't like vsingular or
deadly cyclone. I was banned for causing an "uprising" that was
silenced quickly. The srf is run by hitleresque douche bags that
don't give a damn about the real members or in this case lack
there of... The srf more or less has gone to hell, when I joined
I liked it because it was filled with cool people. Most of those
people are gone now, some are here and some are just gone all
together. I guess that is what you get when you take the
"community" part of "saints row online community" away.
Now it is just a website for feedback about the terrible game
where people are just under volitions desk sucking them off by
further talking about "how great srtt is! :D" and trolls to run
rampant on the website.
I for one, do not wish to go back. The srf is no longer my home
forum, SBV is. Even though some members are leaving like Blue or
some are hardly ever on :( It's okay because it is A LOT better
here than there.[/glow][/shadow]

srf[/glow][/shadow].

Forum Issues:
The Site
The overall changes to the site from around June when E3
coverage of the game kicked off as it lead to an influx of
douchey posters who felt their ideas were better than everyone
elses (No need to mention any names there). The constant
changing of the layout to the site and its lack of useful
functionallity the whole stats, IS, Photos and Video uploading
ideas seemed gold at the time but to be perfectly honest it has
just made the site feel cluttered and glitchy to say the least.
The lack of a PM system has been a big annoyance for me because
lets face it not everyone wants the ability to be able to get in
touch with somebody without having to make a massive song and
dance in the forum about it.
Community
As the release date drew nearer the forum had a severe lapse in
community spirit with people just being horrible for the sake of
winning a giant pissing contest. Don't get me wrong alot of the
folks I did communicate with over there are here now but theres
still a couple of folks missing who acctually had created some
very decent discussions whether it be in the forum or through
PM's.
Moderators
Now i've never had any run ins with V or DC and if i've had a
problem V soon got it sorted but the way he has gone about
certain things in the past couple of months has been deplorable
to say the least. Banning people from here who have aparently
caused uprisings which hasn't been the case has been ridiculous
yet the ones who cause the most trouble over there get off
without even a slap on the wrist. To me they seem to just be
over glorified salesman now just popping in any info in there
posts about the upcoming DLC releases during every post.
Overall Conclusion
So here is my standpoint on the whole scenario alot of us
expected way too much than what we really got and built the hype
levels to such an extent that if we had of got the game we
expected well there would have been alot of exploded human heads
across the world due to shock and awe. I enjoyed certain aspects
of the game such as them uping the ante gameplay wise with the
driving, guns, flying etc. alot better than previous
installments but the game rewards throughout the course of the
game just left you feeling hollow. The things I didn't like were
like most of you "killing off Gat" which I honestly think is
horseshit and we all know if a death isn't on screen it doesn't
count but Mr Jaros and Holmes tried to do too much within one
game. I get keeping it fast paced makes it fun but it was
basically like having some KFC sure its nice and everything but
you're just not left full after finishing it. If they'd have
bulked it out and made it into a 3 course Sunday Dinner Meal
with all the trimming my guess is people wouldn't be as pissed
off.
Suggestions: Don't alienate the fanbase that got you where you
are today sure its your creative property Volition and you
wanted a reboot to distance yourselves from the competition
(which IMO lost there nack for the series that made them
millions too) and have created such a massive gap that by the
end you're demographic will just be folks with the IQ of a
melted rock going out buying your products. As for the forum if
you can call it that now my main suggestion there is you could
sell it to UCLA for medical research on finding the missing link
between Man and Ape because you'll damn sure find it bashing
aaway at the keyboards on there. And the whole syncing your
social network accounts to a game are you guys for real? most
people who have inadaquecies about their achievements in life
would just usually go out and buy an expensive car or ridiculous
jewellery to over compensate for that lack of fufillment that
isn't in their life.

Forum issues: It felt like the new format had been rushed to
make sure it was ready for SR:TT's release. I would have been
fine waiting longer if it meant the new format wasn't so
horrible.
Suggestions: Firstly, get rid of those stupid bars at the top
and bottom. Those things take up waaaaaay too much screen space.
I already signed up for the newsletter and I was just fine going
to the top of the page when I wanted to change subject.
Get rid of the swearing filter. Seriously, you made an 18+ game
with nudity, violence, swearing and other stuff yet we can't
swear on a 18+ forum?
Additional information: It's been mentioned a few times, but
give small power to the members who have proved themselves.
Seriously, a game like this will only attract the worst kind of
gamers. By worst I mean stupid, ignorant, fucktarded little 10
cunting year old kids who think they're gangster because they
play this game, and unfortunately there are way too many of
those people. I'm not saying give em your level of power Sing,
but the power to at least prevent people from posting in a
thread.
Not me though. I'm not great at putting up with other people's
shit. Especially ignorant, fucktarded little 10 cunting year old
kids who think they're gangster.

I would love to see this posted on the SR threads! I think it
would get their asses into gear, because every single one of us
has said the same exact thing!
Also another tidbit I got a problem with in the game is
multiplayer, no not like gangsta brawl but single player! Really
only one person can join. Wouldent free roam with more players
be fun with all these features they have in the game, 2's
company but 3 is a party!
