       Hopkinson House Furnishings

       See what there is in the barn that comes from the house and
       consider repairing and returning.
       • It's generally thought that the pair of patterned chairs in
       the library are rather nice, though the sofa needs to be
       replaced with the refurbished original.
       • Bed:  Pamela from Tellus is supposed to tell me whether her
       husband Paul would be OK with a bed a bit narrower.
       Another compromise - change the headboard to something more like
       the low sleigh-style headboard on the king bed in the bamboo
       room at the stone house.  This would be a big step in reducing
       the impact of the bed.

       Update on bed.
       The king matters to the Raskins, and is popular with many family
       members. so I think we must make a compromise.  I suggest that
       we go with the idea of trying the Bamboo Room headboard in the
       Hopkinson House to see if it's what we want.  I spoke to Charlie
       who will be able to re arrange paintings a bit, so we not only
       no longer have the huge expanse of headboard, we'll also
       diminish the expanse of white wall above it.
