Dan, been a bad week here. noticed a big mater was wilting on
one branch first of the week, last night it had spred to the
rest of it. nice big parks whopper, had half dozen green maters
on it. we pulled it up and pitched over the hill. i can't hardly
beat the blight here, disheartening. Giz said what we gonna do
bury it in a hole, that's what i'm gonna do when Henry dies,
       that is her cat.

have you been spraying them :???: :???: I spray mine once a
       week it they need it or not ;) ;) if I don't I can't raise a
mater here on the river and these hills just to wet the blight
loves wet weather I bet you have been getting the same storms we
have and the plants are putting on maters this puts them under
stress and the blight hits them go get you some copper fungicide
and some mancozeb and spray the :caca: out of them also cut off
and leaves and limbs that are showing blight you might be able
to save some that's not to far along

i been spraying every week since planting them, 2 different
fungicides. that is why i put them in 4 different places on the
farm, figured one bunch would make it ok. it was verticulium or
fusarium wilt, roots looked good. pisses me off.
