this is the first half decent crop of pecans I have had in 3-4
years , picked up about 5 gallons worth so far and looks like I
might get another 5 before I am done . what's the crop look like
       on your trees this year?

Have three different varieties. Hit and miss. No paper shell
but others should make a showing.
       None whatsoever last year.

Looked at my trees this morning; also watched about 20 crows
working back and forth carrying pecans to their stash house down
to the big woods...trees are absolutely loaded, will have to
come up with a solution on these nut snatchers !!!!

I'll catch hell from my wife when she doesn't have any to cook
with. The squirrels I trapped in town and turned loose at my
training pen have migrated to the yard and have been cutting
them for weeks. :pile: I'llprobably have to buy her some.

Love pecans. I used to buy a 50 lb sack of native pecans from a
place in Arkansas until a few years ago when they sent a batch
that had a white mold inside. They said they'd replace them the
       next year, but never did.

Usually there's a feller that sets up on the parking lot of the
wind tunnel and sells them out of the back of his pu. He gets
them out of La or Miss one. He told me they didn't hit where his
trees are . I think they had a good crop here. IDK I do
know the big black walnut tree by my garden is literally loaded.

Just seen this thread. The last four years we had bumper crops
here on the farm. We have one big tree that is on a pretty good
slope out in the pasture. You had to be careful or your feet
would come out from under ya they were so thick. Every tree on
the place was like that. This year not a pecan.
