Riddle me this one, why is it state law in some states that you
have to notify the adjacent landowners if they have grape vines
and you are going to apply RoundUp within a certain proximity?
I'll give you a hint, it ain't so they can reduce their
fertilizer rate because they are fixing to grow like hell.

I bet you think Sevin is safe around apiaries also. :Mick:
Applied below the bees knees of course. ;D

       because of drift.
same with facet in anything over a 5mph wind. you are grounded.
it will kill the shit out of anything it drifts on. so what? it
wasnt suggested to me that i spray the leaves. so whats the
point? that round up will kill things? duh, no shit, thats why i
       sprayed it. :shellybo:

We aren't talking aerial here duh. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant, wrong
answer. :hair: But at least you are getting closer, the
:caca: ain't good for grape vines, it is a non-selective
       herbicide. :kmmr:

drift is not only aerial. they have the same rules for boom
trucks. so again. :tip: roundup on vines, as long as you dont
get it on anything green...its common. thats why they make mist
booms...so it doesnt get on the leaves. only on the ground.

i wouldnt round up any of my trees unless i cleared all the
suckers first. in the spring time/early summer, there arent any
suckers on the vines to worry bout, no green there to get you in
       trouble.

Not in NC they don't, whole different rules for aerial as
opposed to ground applicators. But drift of course does happen
in both situations. I believe you are thinking about foam
nozzles. Drift most of the time given some idiot doesn't spray
in a wind storm is controlled by pressure, boom height and
       ground speed.
And while you are at it, the boom itself doesn't have anything
to do with it, the nozzle does. :hogleg:

im referring to misting sprayers for vineyards. it shields the
plant from the mist. only contacts the ground and used on young
       vines.

it doesnt matter what state you are in unless it says so on the
label. doesnt matter if its aerial or ground, they both will
have mph restrictions you gotta follow, no matter what state
you're in, if its over the limit, you're grounded. you're state
might outlaw the use all together, but if they dont, you still
gotta follow the directions or you're liable.

Mr. Dogbyte I watched the complete presentation by your friend
and it was very interesting. I am pretty sure most of the people
in this country really don't know whats at stake if all these
peoples efforts fail. thanks for posting it.
