This is Barry Dearing from Neighbors.. I hope I can add a little
info here and make it interesting. I know others will, too..
Hopefully we can take local and national info with us for those

Hi, I guess I am at least part of the reason we ended up here.
Not that I created the sight, I just created the need to get off
the Nextdoor app. Again, sorry about all this. My name Is Jeanne
Brown Machnik, on here I will go by maiden name, just like I did
on the nextdoor app. My actually drivers license says Jeanne
Brown Machnik, so I can't see the problem about me getting
disabled by using my legal name. Even the first moderator agreed
I could continue to use Brown. So imagine my shock when again I
get cut off for the same exact thing. Sorry, I am going on an
on. Glad to be here, among the best of the best.

This is Will Rigsby of Shady Hills (a hop skip and jump away). I
have experience with Forums. I used to use them a lot before
social media became a thing. Although when I was signing up,
that captcha picture code thing (where you select pictures of
busses redlights and crosswalks) was giving me a very long
runaround. lol
When I first signed up to NextDoor I was wanting to use the name
I go by on social media "Blakjak". But to make it easier for
neighbors to know who I am I went by my real name. Kinda glad I
did or I may be banned already. I remember a day when everyone
warned us about using our real names online. Nowadays you have
to... Facebook demands it, Google Plus used to demand it before
that service died, and now NextDoor demands it.

Me, too, Will! I actually already have an account on this site
using my forum moniker, plus I am the creator HeadDeplorable,
and am posting as my real name. Imagine trying to keep up with
myself LOL

I really think it’s a ton of BS, Jeanne. I have a hyphenated
name, too, and think I should be allowed to use whichever last
name I want. They both belong to me, and both belong to you,
too. They are just looking for excuses!
