The Debate Tower is meant to have more serious
discussion than General. Debates and arguments should go here.
Here are a few board-specific guidelines.
The Debate Tower - Official Rules:
1- Be respectful to your fellow members.
Don't go out raging at their arguments.
2- Don't go off-topic.
Some off-topic discussion is tolerated in other categories but
The Debate Tower isn't meant for extended conversations. Keep
those in General.
3- Learn how to argue.
It'll benefit you in the future. There are plenty of resources
to learn how to construct good arguments both in your local
library (if you even have one, LOL) and on the internet.
Which debates are allowed?
[li]Human rights[/li]
[li]Permissions[/li]
Which debates are NOT allowed?
[li]Debates that break rules, like inappropriate and hateful
topics[/li]
[li]Petitions on promotion/demotion (they belong in
General)[/li]
[li]Questions like "what will you do if Donald Trump wins?"
(they also belong in General, they technically aren't actually
debates)[/li]
[li]Option 1 VS. Option 2 (unless it's just an alternative way
of phrasing a more thoughtful header line)[/li]
[li]Political debates (we have a separate board for those)[/li]
