       The Debate Tower - Official Rules (Last Update: 10/29/2016)

       [center]The Debate Tower is meant to have more serious
       discussion than General. Debates and arguments should go here.
       Here are a few board-specific guidelines.
       The Debate Tower - Official Rules:
       1- Be respectful to your fellow members.
       Don't go out raging at their arguments.
       2- Don't go off-topic.
       Some off-topic discussion is tolerated in other categories but
       The Debate Tower isn't meant for extended conversations. Keep
       those in General.
       3- Learn how to argue.
       It'll benefit you in the future. There are plenty of resources
       to learn how to construct good arguments both in your local
       library (if you even have one, LOL) and on the internet.
       Which debates are allowed?

       [li]Human rights[/li]
       [li]Permissions[/li]
       [/list]
       Which debates are NOT allowed?
       [list]
       [li]Debates that break rules, like inappropriate and hateful
       topics[/li]
       [li]Petitions on promotion/demotion (they belong in
       General)[/li]
       [li]Questions like "what will you do if Donald Trump wins?"
       (they also belong in General, they technically aren't actually
       debates)[/li]
       [li]Option 1 VS. Option 2 (unless it's just an alternative way
       of phrasing a more thoughtful header line)[/li]
       [li]Political debates (we have a separate board for those)[/li]
