Parqs Recording Tutorial [Come Here if you need help!]

       First things First
So basically, a few of you have been asking "how do you record
your personal PS3 gameplay + voice" etc… and it's not that
simple so I decided to help you out. :)
       -Recording
To record, you will need to buy an "accessory" (as some might
call it) for your PS3. This accessory is called a GameCapture
       otherwise known as an HDPVR.
My top 2 favorite GameCaptures are (Will list the links below)
the ElgatoGameCaptureHD (I own) which is very simple and easy to
set up and it has a program as shown below. The other is the
hauppauge HDPVR, I have never owned it so I can't say much about
       this one, sorry.

Here are a few ways to obtain them.
¬Your Nearest electronic store may have them in stock.
¬You can order them online from the links I will list below.
¬You can also obtain them cheaper from EBay. (Wont list a link
       for quality assurance.)
The next thing you will need is some software that can record
your voice (From your mic) and the PS3 sound. I personally use
an application both for the PC and Mac called Audacity (Example
Below). Audacity is a free application that allows you to record
the audio from many different devices at once and then export
them out as a normal .mp3 for instance file that you may also
       edit with in the future.

Cool guide man, this may come quite handy for those that want to
start recording themselves. I personally recommend Elgato too,
though I only borrowed a mates recorder for a period.
       What about video-editing?

I'm not the best at editing mate, but I was also thinking about
that. We probably need several editors for this to continue.

Hey guys I'm new to the site, but I'm 'fairly' experienced at
video editing with a smallish youtube channel, if anyone has any
questions about basics/getting started I'd be happy to help :)

Glad to have you! You might give an idea of what software you
use or recommend people use. I have a very basic (re: not very
good) understanding of vegas and after effects but not well
enough to produce anything of quality.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 11, haven't delved into after effects yet
       (tho I probably should!)
My editing ethos would be along the lines of 'less is more', so
personally I would say that software comes down to what people
feel most comfortable using. That may sound obvious, but what
I'm trying to get at, is that software may offer a million bells
and whistles, but most effective editing is that which the
viewer doesn't even realise has taken place, there can be a
tendency to want loads of fancy cuts/transitions, but there's a
reason why the most used form in mainstream media is simple
       cuts.
       It works :)
My advice to anyone starting is start simple, and tweak little
fancy bits in when you're used to delivering a narrative.
       damn that sounded pretentious lol
