Lord Jesus is the source of life and He says come and have life
in me - those that refuse Him refuse Life.
A person sick with a condition that can only be cured with a
particular medicine - if they refuse to take it they die. It is
not the doctor who is at fault.
Also Heaven is heaven because of our Lord there - God is not
going to force people to goto a place where the sole purpose is
further relationship with someone they have already rejected?
What are your thoughts?

A priest once told me that heaven and hell aren't necessarily a
one level kind of place. There are many levels to them and which
level you are at depends on how strong your relationship with
God is The stronger your relationship, the closer you are to
the the inner circle were God is. The same goes for hell. People
who have lived their lives in sin and do not wish to repent or
accept God would be in the inner circle of hell (where things I
assume would be much worst than the "outer circle" of hell).
This made me think that good people who have good values and
morals and almost follow the commandments without being
identified as 'christian' might not experience the same hell as
the ones who did no good in their lives. I've also been told
that heaven and hell are more of a feeling you will have rather
than an actual place you go to. Not sure if I am way off track
or not...

Heaven = in God's presence forever
Hell = in God's absence forever
Free will = the freedom to make that decision.
If I am a non=believer, how can I choose to be with God forever?
If I am a believer but turn to sin (=separation from God), God
respects my free will too much to make me choose Him over sin.
Whether we go to Heaven or Hell (however you define them -
states of being/geographical locations etc.) is the consequence
of our choice to be with God or not. What we know with
confidence is our God is a God of love. If someone truly never
had the chance to know God and choose Him, I can personally say
with confidence that His mercy triumphs over judgement and God
will do the most loving thing (by His infinite wisdom, not our
limited understanding).
If you're having a hard time digesting this topic, find peace in
the assurance that God does everything He can (within the
boundaries of our free will) to bring all His creation to Him.
He is a God of love not punishment! As Ehab said last week,
Christianity isn't a set of rules and T&Cs :D
N.B - Heaven & Hell are eternal, ie. they've already begun, we
decide everyday which we want! Think of the times you've felt
distant from God. They were also you're lowest points, right?
Then think of when you felt closest to God. No matter what
happened, you were in a state of constant peace! It's all about
His presence in your life :)

I absolutely love this Carla...It looks so simple, yet very
deep.
Thanks for putting it into simple words! Yes our God is God of
love & life and He desires everyone to be saved. But if I don't
know Him, how can I have life away from Him?!
Brilliant summary!
