       How do you use a dilatometer?

       Hi guys,
       I'm supposed to hand in a project next week that I haven't even
       started yet. It's about analysing the heat transfer of water...
       My school just bought a fancy new tool for that, a so-called
       dilatometer

       And they
       are determined to get their money's worth, apparently by making
       us do these kinds of projects. I'm not the best when it comes to
       science, so understandably I have nooo clue what to do. Has
       anyone ever operated a dilatometer? If so, can you help me out?
