I'm not huge on Wilco or Billy Bragg, BUT I think the two albums
they did together covering Woody Guthrie's unfinished songs were
exceptional, Mermaid Avenue in particular.

Yeah, I have Mermaid Avenue, it is good.
How about the new Tom Waits, I think Keith Richards adds some
guitar on 4 songs, and the Los Lobos guitar player, David
Hidalgo plays on it as well. I like it.

Just received the new Waits as a belated birthday present.
Haven't studied on it yet. Love the CD package. If you like
it, msf, then I believe I'm in for a treat.

Yeah, I do like a lot of wide ranging music, but I would like to
think I have gotten better. Right now I am following jam bands
more.

My buddy and I saw an Anders Osborne/Galactic/Pearl Jam triple
bill at Jazzfest last year...all 3 were excellent...

I listen to Jam On station alot on Sirius/XM (when in the
vehicle, and I have had some long drives of late. That is where
I heard Anders Osborne, and they play Umphrey in there a lot, as
well as tons of Phish, Galactic, Yonder Mountain String Band,
etc...
