Havent seen Dave around here recently... but Skip Holtz is in
full on save his job mode...
5 JUCO commits in the last week... i dont think he grasps how
much his job depends on recruiting tampa talent... and hes not
doing that worth a poop.

I am going to guess most folks want a new coach. We are 11-1,
but not winning pretty. Shoe is backing Weber. I could care
less, I think I would like to watch better bball, but how can
you can a guy who is 11-1. Zook we had to fire, despite the bowl
game, he was a shitty coach, Weber knows bball, but his teams
just play like crap.

Yeah, Weber is a good coach, but he is always yelling on the
sidelines, seems his teams go into a shell. I think these kids
get too much information and they think too much (or try to
think). He recruits well, but I am starting to wonder about if
he recruits kids who fit his system (ala Bo Ryan or Jim
Beilein). I like him, but I could understand getting a different
coach, but who is to say we will get a better one??

I could care less
You mean "'COULDN'T' care less", because otherwise you are
stating the opposite. People keep turning this phrase wrong,
even in the mass media, and it's really starting to stick in my
craw.
(Someone had better give me credit for using the term "stick in
my craw" btw. I'm looking at you, BlackSox and Fury.)

Yeah, I am bad about that one. I understand why I am wrong, but
55 years of habit is hard to break.
I had a blind programmer working on my team 10 years or so ago.
I used to walk him down to coffee machine and buy him a bad cup
of coffee every day. One day he says, MSF, could you please stop
taking the Lord's name in vain. I said "Jesus Christ Mike, that
is going to be a tough habit to break."
He is lucky I did not say Jesus F------ Christ.

I get what you mean on yelling at the players... Leavitt was
crucified for that style of coaching but his teams always
over-achieved... skip is nice and sweet on the players... and we
lost 5 games this year where we held a lead with 3 minutes or
less to go...

blind programmer . . .buy him a bad cup of coffee
You're kind of a jagoof then aren't you? From what I understand,
sight-impaired folks are way more sensitive to their other
senses, so it really kinda sucks that you bought him bad coffee.
. .there was no good coffee available in the neighborhood? You
are indeed a cruel bastard.

Jeter, you get full props for referencing the Catamaran Racing
Association of Wisconsin.
+1, as they say

Re: "greatest guitarists"... just my opinion, technical
expertise does not necessarily make one a "great guitarist."
Keith Richards may be just a riffmeister, but he's the best
riffmeister ever, probably. He brings exactly the right thing
to his band, and always at the right time. I think he fully
deserves to be #5 on that list or any list. IMO, it's not
always how fast or how adroitly one can move his fingers around
the guitar neck, or how long the guitar solo is. (And if the
solo is longer than about 20 or 30 seconds, please, just kill
me.)
Stevie Ray Vaughan always makes the lists of "great
guitarists"...but I find him derivative, recycled Hendrix for
the most part. By comparison, his brother is a way tastier
player in my mind. Hendrix himself was innovative in some ways,
if you go for that sort of sound (I don't). Don't even get me
started on Clapton.
Then again, I like trashy, three-chord songs that clock in at
under two and a half minutes. So, disregard.
