Yep, we caught some of it following the Jeff Beck show. Was a
great show. I need to read up on who the other folks in the band
       were.
I thought that was a movie, did not know it was a series. We
just gave up our HBO, Showtime etc... as we were not watching it
       of late.

That sounds like something I'd really, really like. Pope
Alexander VI is one of my favorite historical figures of all
       time.

So its the Tudors all over again? thats basically the plot for
       game of thrones as well.
Well, there's garotting instead of beheadings, the plots might
be bit juicier and they are DEFINITELY hinting at some incest.
So it's typical formula vatican movie stuff. Being fiction and
(ugh) "fantasy", hard for me to get excited about Thrones. .
.you know, as compared to depictions of history which are
largely fictitious. Altho with the Borgias, you really didn't
need to make this **** up.

The books are positively massive... part 5 comes in a couple
months... HBO has not picked up more then 10 episodes yet
though... so not sure if i want to get involved only to hve them
       drop it.
we just got HBO back last nite for Game of Thrones and Treme
       next week.

It's William H. Macy. The actor credited as 'Bill Macy' played
       the husband on Maude.
Shameless is a adaption of a UK show also called Shameless.
It's good but the UK version was better.
You can watch episodes of Shameless (US) here:

and season 7 & 8 of Shameless (UK) episodes here:

       ---------------
Fastpass TV is a good site to bookmark. It has almost
everything there. It even has 85 episodes of The Andy Griffith
Show for Jhon Jeter and JBN.

I'd be thrilled if they could come up with Get a Life. I was
surprised to see what the DVDs were going for on Amazon. But
such is the cost to behold televisual genious.

You also have the option of downloading the torrents of the DVD
version of seasons 1 & 2 of Get a Life and then watch them on
       your computer:
  HTML http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3950253/Get_A_Life_-_Seasons_1__2____Extras
  HTML http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3950253/Get_A_Life_-_Seasons_1__2____Extras
Not as easy or as quick as watching them on hulu or fastpass TV
but still a FREE option (other than the very slight chance of a
potential civil action being filed against you by the copyright
       holders for downloading the torrents).

mostly true but then again driving 3 miles over the speed limit
and failing to pay state taxes on your amazon.com purchases are
illegal too. However people still do it.
The government & copyright holders mostly go after torrent
uploaders of movies and music rather than the downloaders of old
       tv shows.
If you use the 'hit & run' method and adjust your torrent client
to limit your upload speed to the the lowest settings, you're
99.999% safe from any potential actions taken against you.
I like British TV. Especially their humour. I download tons of
current and old British TV shows (mostly from a private torrent
site). I also use public sites like eztv, bt-chat, isohunt and
the pirate bay. Most of the stuff I download isn't available on
a DVD here or won't become available until months from now. I
never download music or movies. In the 5 years I've been into
torrents, I have never even received a single warning e-mail
       from my provider.
