Agree with ISF in that it was the right thing to do at the time.
We needed to go for it, sometimes you get burned. Jackson can
still make this a good trade if he turns it around and leads us
to a division championship this year.

Hudson will go the way of Kip Wells and Josh Fogg - an initial
bump in a new, crappy league then BLAM!

I disagree Boat... he looks sharp every time i've seen him
pitch...
But as mentioned before... if jackson were pitching right now
the way he did when we got him last year... this would be a
non-issue.

I would say let's see how he looks tonight against us, but he is
facing Walker's Offensive Zombies...without a DH as well.
I'll be surprised if we score more than 6 runs over the entire
series.

The only reason I am not more pissed about Hudson is that he
really did not look that good with us. He had quite a few starts
too. He was walking a ton of players it seemed, getting behind
on the count a lot. He is good. I think better than Wells etc...
but I do not think we are going to rue the day he was traded.
Last I looked, Clayton Richard had an ERA about 4.5, which is
not horrible, but it was the worst ERA on the Padres by a run
and a half. That NL West has great ERAs, it is the parks and a
shitty league to boot.

never missed richard... that entire trade was a wash for both
orgs... richard is nothing special...
Peavy is a financial disaster... but thanks to insurance hes not
THAT bad of a disaster.
I wonder how insurance pays out on "rehab" starts etc... do they
ensure for any time on DL or do we not have a claim while he
rehabs...
