Still a myth. Alabama is one program.
How can you call a team like LSU dominant when it collapsed
against a 2nd place ACC squad that gave up 50+ points to FSU?
How can you call the conference dominant when the team that was
supposedly #3 in the country gets a beatdown from a Big East
team with no decent wins on its schedule?
How is it dominant that S. Carolina needs a last-minute miracle
to beat a mediocre Michigan squad?
The SEC had 3 teams worthy of the Top Ten; Alabama, Texas A&M
and Georgia. Florida, LSU and the rest were vastly over-rated.
Notre Dame played an awful first half. They clearly weren't
prepared for Alabama's talent. I have news: Oregon would not
have fared much, if any, better.
They played a physical team in Stanford. How did that turn out?
6-3 in bowls? If memory serves, 3 of those wins came against
Nebraska, Michigan and Purdue in what everyone agrees was a down
       year for the Big Ten.
One of those they were very lucky to get.
Alabama and Texas A&M were the class of that conference, and let
me be the first to point out that Texas A&M was a Big 12 club in
       its first year.
How does that conference look without them?
Sorry, I'm impressed with the Alabama program and Johnny
       Football. The SEC conference? Overhyped.

Everyone also agrees its a down year for the SEC... lol.
SEC is in a different class. I HATE them, but cannot deny it.
LSU was the 6th best team in the SEC this year... and they lost
by one point because miles had a brain fart and didn't run the
ball with only 2 min left... went for 2 incomplete time stopping
passes. if he runs up the middle twice Clemson doesnt have time
       to win.
Teddy Bridgewater = the Truth. IMHO hes the best passing QB in
college right now. No shame in losing to Teddy B.
Notre Dame was so incredibly out classed. They didn't just play
a bad first half... they simply got beat. The second half UA let
       off the gas.
If you line up the top 5 teams in every conference. SEC wins its
slot against every conference in the land. 1v1 2v2 3v3. if you
remove the top 2 teams from the SEC and play 3-7 vs 1-5 of every
other conference SEC still will win about 80% of the games.
Let me get this right... in your world a clemson win as time
expires is proof of SEC overhype... but USCe winning in 4th Q is
       also the same? W t f?

6th? The polls were all putting them in the top ten. Which was
       ridiculous.
They were lucky to get Texas A&M early. If they had played at
end of season they would have been treated like Kansas St.

It wasn't just Teddy. Louisville mauled them on every level. You
want to say ND was outclassed, I watched both games.
At Least ND can say it got outmuscled by the consensus
       most-talented team in the country.
#3 Florida got embarassed by a team they had no business losing
       to if they are "dominant".

Completely disagree. Saban did not take the starters out, and
they did not stop going after the big play.
ND made some offensive adjustments at halftime and the defense
started tackling like they did all year in the 2nd half.
I have no problem saying Alabama was the better team. They
proved it by playing a better 60 minutes.
But Saban stepping off the gas? That's a joke. Either you
haven't watched his teams over the years or you turned the game
       off at halftime.

I don't agree with this either, but my point is that Florida had
no business being ranked #3. LSU is not a top ten team. S.
Carolina lost to both of those teams (to Florida by 33!!!)
The middle teams of the SEC are constantly overhyped because of
       the top 2-3.

I don't know what USC has to do with anything. Clemson beating
LSU showed LSU was ranked too high. Overhyped.
If they are a dominant team, how does a team that gave up 50+ to
       FSU beat them?

If I had a vote in the final AP Poll, it would look like this:
       1. Texas A&M
       2. Alabama
       3. Notre Dame
       4. Stanford
       5. Oregon
       6. Ohio State
       7. Florida State
       8. Georgia
       9. Kansas State
       10. Clemson
       11. Louisville
       12. Oklahoma
       13. Florida
       14. Northwestern
       15. Wisconsin
       16. LSU
       17. Nebraska
       18. S. Carolina
       19. Utah State
       20. Boise State
       21. Texas
       22. Michigan
       23. Oregon State
       24. Vanderbilt
       25. Northern Illinois

wow.. so the overrated SEC ends up with 7 teams in your top 25!
       that is very over-rated indeed.
How is FSU ahead of UF? they lost to UF pretty handily... and
played NIU for its bowl game...
how do you come up with Northwestern being a higher ranked team
       then LSU? or USCe?
How the hell does USCe end up lower then LSU in your poll? they
won their bowl game... LSU lost.
Northwestern LOST in overtime to michigan.. USCe beat
       michigan.... so i'm confused there.
I think you and the voters in general, rated Louisville way too
low the entire year for being in the big least. Now with them in
the ACC next year, watch the same team be ranked a lot higher.

       Bama
       Oregon
       A&M
       Stanford
       OSU
       Georgia
       ND

I could go with that for the top 7... can make a decent argument
       that OSU should be 3.

Only one way to settle this, and in 2014 ( actually Jan '15...
get ready for the 10-year reunion), they still won't have it
       right.

Because Florida stunk up their bowl game against a
       supposedly-inferior opponent, while FSU won.
That case is augmented by the fact that LSU lost to the
       2nd-place ACC team.
SC was very lucky to beat Michigan. That doesn't tell me they
are better than NU, just that Michigan went prevent and paid for
       it.
NU hammered their SEC opponent in their bowl game.
SC ends up lower than LSU because they were without Lattimore at
end of year and lost to LSU with him.
As for 7 in top 25...I didn't say the SEC wasn't the best
conference. I said they were overhyped and over-rated. The bowl
       games beared that out.
Florida was a ridiculous #3, LSU was over-rated as was S.
       Carolina (and they still are).

Wisconsin put up 70 against Nebraska and played Stanford to the
bitter end. They are a top 20 team, and I considered them for
       top fifteen.
