       ACC? That conference is going to get ripped apart yet. SEC and
       BIG 12 will get football teams, Big10 will get basketball teams,
       heh. IMHO I do not think the ACC will be one of the premier
       conferences.

       I agree but its a lot better then the Big east right now.
       Media rights for Big east are going to be about 6 million per
       team per year. ACC is at 17.
       I do agree that the SEC, B1g and Big12 will raid them apart,
       dont see USF getting into any of those conferences... rumors are
       big 12 wants both miami and FSU. that would atleast allow USF to
       move up to the ACC.

       Taggart signed for 1.15 per year... 850K less than skip...
       Apparently Tony Dungy was with the AD for each of the interviews
       and tipped the scales to Taggart.

       Seriously however, I do think Smith was a good HC, maybe not a
       guy to take you from B to C, but he will always have a tough
       team. He just needs a good OC and a good GM. THere are teams out
       there that are never any good and need a coach like that, the
       Cardinals or the Chargers.

       Regardless of what happens tonight, I think the myth of SEC
       dominance died with Louisville's thrashing of #3 Florida.
       Between that and LSU collapsing against a 2nd place ACC team,
       I'm not sure how you make the argument the SEC is much better
       than other conferences.
       Northwestern beat Mississippi State. S. Carolina barely squeezed
       past Michigan. Georgia didn't salt away Nebraska until the 4th
       quarter.
       The SEC just hasn't separated itself, outside of Johnny
       Football.
       If Alabama loses, that will be 4 bowl losses, which I think
       would give them a losing record postseason. Hanging around .500
       isn't very dominant.
