It's all about the $$. UNC would benefit massively over time to
being in the BT

I dont see NC leaving the ACC, but then again its about
basketball down there and they wouldnt have to beat out Duke
every year, just MSU and Ohio State.

Maryland already joined the BT today, supposedly Rutgers
tomorrow. And ND supposedly joined the ACC in all sports but
Football which they will remain independent. Supposedly they
will play a couple of games each year against ACC teams in
football

Somebody explain it to me. Now 14 teams in the Big Ten and you
guys are suggesting they may add more? What does the BT get out
of it? Too lazy to go and try to read about it

Television markets... thats what the BT gets. idea being in 3
years they can negotiate a larger contract if they have new
markets for the big 10 network.

BTW, Bears showed they are pretenders not contenders last night.
Should have lost to Detroit and Carolina, the only reason they
stayed with the Texans was cause the weather was so bad.
They ought to be 5-5 at best.

F the Bears, back to the Big Ten....
In the old days, the only way for colleges to make money was
football attendance. Now, it's TV money. The Big Ten network
gets a buck a month per subscriber... add in the NY, DC, and
Baltimore markets that will now have the BTN on their basic
tier, and that equals huge money for the Big Ten.

speaking of the Illini, nice win last night. They won't always
shoot like that but they do appear to be better and playing with
confidence

Positive reinforcement on shot selection vs getting yelled at
for taking a shot. That will do wonders for your confidence. I
think Mr Groce is going to be one helluva coach, hope its at UI
for a long time.
