Johnny Field with a pretty grindy day so far. 1 for 2 with a run
scored. Just drew a walk, and advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch +
3rd on the errant throw from the catcher.
Currently standing on 3rd with 2 outs.

Field played his first game for USA Baseball yesterday in the
       Prospect Classic. He went 2 for 2 -- a single, hit-by-pitch, a
       double and a run scored.

In Haarlem, the Netherlands, Johnny Field went 0 for 3 with a

Puerto Rico hands Team USA 3-2 loss
Jose Trevino goes 3-for-4 with an RBI

HAARLEM - Behind 6.1 strong innings from former Major League
pitcher Juan Padilla, Puerto Rico handed the USA Baseball
Collegiate National Team its first loss in Honkbal Week, 3-2, on
Tuesday afternoon at Pim Mulier Stadium.
"I hope this is a wake-up call to our team," Team USA manager
Dave Serrano said. "We can't just out there with the USA jersey
on and expect to win. Puerto Rico wanted the game more than we
did today and they deserve the victory. You have to tip your cap
       to them."
A former relief pitcher with the New York Yankees, Cincinnati
Reds and New York Mets, Padilla allowed two runs on six hits
while striking out three to earn the win. Four other pitchers
then came out of the Puerto Rico bullpen, combining to yield
just one hit over the final 2.2 innings.
"Juan Padilla pitched like a guy who has big league experience,"
Serrano said. "He pitched with savvy, kept us off balance and we
hit like an immature team today. We let him pitch his game and
we didn't get very many good swings off a guy whose stuff is
obviously not what it was when he pitched in the big leagues."

looks like NCAA coming down hard on PSU due to actions of the
"tickle monster". In my opinion, not much they can do that would
be enough to make up for what was hidden.

Wish they would have shut dopwn football for a couple of years
and kicked them out of the Big Ten. But money trumps all.

I agree with Blackie... if NCAA wont give the death penalty for
this... they will flat never use it again.

I have not heard of any as of yet Blackie. Should be some rumors
around shortly, heard USC is after the top RB.

One would presume that Hackenberg is back in play since his
entire tenure there would be under probation.
