If someone here doesn't want to view the avatars/signatures of
certain members for whatever reason, shouldn't the onus be on
that person to update their "Look and Layout" setting to hide
those things?

hahahahha, yeah, I was wondering how that slipped through. .
.but it does suggest a fun and unique challenge, that is, seeing
how you can get around the avatar policy and sneak something
past that is a veiled political statement. Obscure references,
double entendres, and dare I suggest, REBUSES??

Just how tiny do these women need to be in order to qualify?

The reason the signature didn't show on the other forums is
because for some reason it doesn't carry over. I assumed once it
was there it was there for whatever forum I was on.
When I went to check signature/avatar settings yesterday, those
options no longer existed.
It also appears Method lost his as well, so saying those options
weren't taken away is false.
