Personally, I'm OK with Andy's rules. All he's asking for is
that politics stay in the political thread. That and compliance
with copyright laws (2 paragraph excerpts, max, + link) are the
only two things he's been a stickler for.

Really??? Why put a hornet’s nest where there was none? I think
almost all the people that post on this thread are able to
separate cyber friendships from their political differences. I
enjoy bantering with Method and Fury almost as much as I like
teasing Shoeless. Besides, it’s very rare to meet someone like
Fury with whom you can talk about Church History. You have no
clue how many people I have driven away with that talk over the
years, but not Fury!
Some things can be better left unsaid. Just my opinion -
thankfully I'll comply as I have never had an avatar or a siggy
line. Nor will I.

I see that in the true spirit of WSI nazi moderatorism, some
people now are allowed avatars and signatures, while others are
not.
I am not surprised that has happened, just that we're heading to
that level so quickly.
I am considering creating a new site and allowing multiple
people admin rights like we did at WX to head this type of cr*p
off at the pass.
If you are interested in moving, let me know.

lordy... might have been in there somewhere... but who
complained?
My sig was taken off... its not political... nor did i receive
any PM's to remove it.
Asinine policy all around. We fought pretty hard to avoid any
type of censorship at WX... it was requested that politics be
kept to one thread and everyone complied... a sig or avatar was
not seen as shoving it into every thread... nor should it be
seen as such...

In defense of the Newt Love photo, it has a humorus componant.

fwiw, I am a co-admin of a very tiny woman's ministry message
board, we have been around since 2005 and I often pointed out
over the years to these "Christian" ladies who get upset over
the most minor things that folks on my Sox board who are almost
all male are way more mature than they are when it comes to
conflict. Anyhow, that's a silly side point, but we have
chosen to have two admins there, and we did it specifically so
that one person wouldn't be making blanket or policy decisions
without having someone else's council. It's not a majority rule
thing, but it also isn't a monarchy.
