Question: If we ultimately decide to make this the primary
board, Andy, can you take the [backup] off the title? Or would
you have to set up a new forum?

As you can see, there was no problem removing [backup] from the
forum name.
If a majority prefers, we can change the name to something else
(like Chicago Sports Forum) and even add some additional
separate categories on the main page. For example I added
'Chicago Bulls' category as a test. We can add a Bears or
Blackhawks category if people want and still retain the
HTML http://sox.createaforum.com
URL.
We can even split off a separate "World Today", "College Sports"
or "TV & Cinema Revue" category if people want to keep the White
Sox category purely about baseball.
