What's funny is that "a peavy" sounds like it could be a kind of
Flower

CBSSports.com senior writer Evan Brunell reported Wednesday that
White Sox 1B Adam Dunn has thought about considering retirement
while being mired in a seemingly never-ending slump this season.
The story was first reported by Yahoo! Sports. “If I’m not
having fun anymore, I’ll go home,” Dunn said. “Flat out. I’ll go
home. I mean that. Swear to goodness. I’ll. Go. Home. I enjoy
playing. Even though I suck. Or have been sucking. I enjoy
playing the game. Love it. But as soon as I lose that, I’m gone,
dude. It’s true." Dunn was held out of Wednesday's game with a
sore knee.
I think he should do that... that gets us out from under that
fucking contract.

Or maybe come back next year with a fresh start and possibly go
back to being the guy who can hit 40 bombs a year? That is
possible you know. A lot of players go through struggling
times. Remember Konerko in 2003? Granted, no one has been as bad
as Dunn is this year but I still think it's silly to claim
someone at "done"
because of 1 bad season. Give the guy another shot.

Dunn needs a manager to play him at first base more - and a new
hitting instructor.
That won't be happening anytime soon.

I'm all for giving him another shot... havent really called him
out so far this year... waiting out the slump...
But if he has the attitude that he wants to quit... then retire.
thats just fine. dont just go thru the motions like rios and
collect a check.
I've also been asking for him to be on he field... LF or 1b for
months now... let him start 5-10 games in the field straight and
see how he does.

If he was all in, he'd go now.
If he would bear down, like Peavy wants, he'd quit.
The Coo always wanted both of those guys: maybe they'll send us
Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Marmol for them?

Fire Walker and hire Mark Grace. Problem solved.

I would bet that thousands of Arizona Diamondback fans would be
thrilled with such a development.

Yep, exactly. I think Dunn is out of sync from not playing in
the field.
