At any rate...
1. Kudos to the President for making the call and the SEALs for
getting it done.
2. Don't expect anyone from the left to answer the point boat
brings up. They can all quietly thank GWB for knowing that
having Gitmo was/is important and that Obama apparently has
figured it out.
3. We should be out of Afghanistan fairly quickly, since the
goal of the mission was to get Bin Laden and his accomplices in
planning the crime of 9/11.
4. Nice unifying moment that will have almost 0 effect on next
year's election. It's still the economy, stupid.

My take on the partial field GOP debate last night (I assume ISF
was probably the only other person here that may have even tuned
in)
Ron Paul - He's the nutty uncle that can't seem to shup up at
holiday get togethers. He's amusing for the first few minutes,
but then he makes you leave the room for more of grandma's pound
cake even though you're already stuffed. What the Paulnuts see
in him is baffling.
Tim Pawlenty - Nice enough guy. Seems to be fairly intelligent.
Decent conservative credentials in a lib state. About as
exciting as a Brent Morel at bat, though.
Rick Santorum - Similar to Pawlenty, but with the disadvantage
of being a long-time Washington D.C. guy. Don't care for his
"family values" emphasis. Been there, seen that. It won't
work. Also, for most of the debate, it looked like he was
trying not to take a dump on stage.
Gary Johnson - I had high hopes for him, but he was a disaster.
He was fidgeting more than a crackhead frantically waiting for
his next fix. Awful.
Herman Cain - He was fantastic. The most charismatic one of the
bunch. And - let's face it - the only way to beat Obama will be
with someone that comes across very well on tv. Trotting out
some old white guy spewing the usual GOP talking points of lower
taxes, reduced spending ain't gonna cut it. Sorry, Mitt.
I'm ready to vote for Cain TODAY. He and Romney will be the two
leading the GOP pack, but Cain will resonate much more with
voters. He's got the communcation skill set needed to convey
the conservative vision for America while being more than
capable to fire back at any criticism - not to mention he would
peel off A LOT of Obama's minority vote. And having never held
public office can only help. As he brought up in the debate,
we've been electing career politicians to run this country for a
very long time - how's that working out for us?
Herman Cain in 2012. Book it.

debate. All of the players aren't in yet.
