O yea... peeps in Tampa be up in arms over his desire to remove
the sprawl act... free and unfettered development is the goal...
what a joke... we already have 5 days of water restrictions that
havent been lifted in 4 years... and hes talking about allowing
       more development...
www.tbo.com - the online subsidiary of The Tampa Tribune
www.tampabay.com - the online subsidiary for the St Pete times.
They both generally cover whats going on in Tallahassee pretty
well. peeps in st pete dont like the development laws more then
here in hillsborough... but the old fogies complain about
anything other then the status quo

       Thats a long clip... lol.
Not entirely... it seems they believe that Quantitative easing
is simply printing money... while the end result does appear to
be that, what they are trying to do is increase the money supply
       and prevent deflation.
Deflation is bad on all counts... while its simple to say we
dont have deflation because the cost of goods is rising... the
cause for the rise in cost is not due to the QE (it has had an
effect but not as great as some make it out to be).... imho its
directly related to the devaluation of currency due to long term
deficits and extended periods of excessively cheap credit...
when credit is made this cheap and you can borrow money at no
cost.. then the inherent holding value of saved assets is
lowered... you reward those that are ****ty planners (ie wall
street) and dont have assets by making borrowing money cheaper
       then saving up your assets.
Deflation is so bad... that even the thought that we might enter
a deflationary phase can cause massive issues in the economy
during a recession... you want people to spend money... not save
it because things will be cheaper tomorrow. (which is exactly
what will happen in a case of deflation)
I think the one thing that entire clip totally forgets... is
that by devaluing the US dollar, the Fed is effectively taxing
the rest of the global economy (as we devalue the dollar other
countries are forced to buy more dollars and the value of their
holdings is erroded, they paid for those dollars in GDP x amt of
years ago, and we're diluting the value of it)... this in turn
lessens the recessionary pressures on the US by shifting some of
       our pain to other economies...
QE is probably going to stave off some of the trade imbalances
and indirectly force the bank of china to start valuing their
currency a lot faster... esp if they wish to keep up their
       double digit economic growth rates...
I dont care for QE because it was brought upon due to
un-naturally low interest rates... and after QE the fed really
has no other method to stimulate the economy... we've already
used up our silver bullet... and there still is NO appreciable
gain in economic growth. they cant lower interest rates, they
cant do more QE.. and they want to cut spending... not a good
       combination.

I shouldnt say they cant do more QE, if they choose they could
do more... but there is already a big push back from quite a few
members of the fed to raise interest rates and back off.
Plus if we do more QE the other countries are going to push
back... with increased tariffs on American goods etc. (see the
latest Chinese tax on American steel as an example)

Nice but town is 10 miles away. Of course we buy in larger
quantities. Still hard to conserve more than what I already do

Shocker shocker pumkin rocker... Rick scott doesnt agree with
       the EPA.
  HTML http://www.tampabay.com/news/environment/water/gov-rick-scott-to-us-epa-well-take-care-of-our-own-water/1165432
What an absolute joke... We get to deal with nitrogen run offs
that flow down hill from Alabama/GA and florida industry... yet
woe is the EPA for enforcing clean air/water regulations...
Scott is blantly unaware of ecological ramifications of his
decisions... but he didnt get the highest amt of corporate
donations for a gubernatorial election (ever!!!) for ****s and
giggles... he got them to get a return in their investment.
I am so so so so so happy rick douche bag scott is now
governor... I really pray and hope that one my several job
applications puthis are lead to a position that gets me the f
away from this state comes through...
the state of Florida will remember Rick Scott as the governor
that sold this state to the highest bidder... Lets look out for
future generations by ruining the environment they get to live
       in!
       Drill Drill Drill!
dont sue BP for their negligence... its not right to hold
business accountable for their actions... businesses should be
exempt from being socially responsible... Go Rick Scott!
(side note, the bigger problem is the toothless POS executive of
the federal government, the one person that could give the EPA
the standing it had before the bush administration... how much
longer before true progressives call for his removal... he might
win the next election... but it wont be due to merit... it will
be because the right wing went off the deep end)
