I love it when people get all personal.
Congrats MSF. Difficult stuff for your daughter though, I am
glad you get to spend some time helping her. Are their any
relatives around her or is she located on/off base somewhere? I
can't imagine having my first child and my husband being gone.

Boat, baby is due in November.
Love, she lives off base. No relatives around. She likely has
some friends among the wives that also have husbands on
assignment. She has a good friend from HS living about an hour
away. She is pretty used to this, she was in Germany for 3 years
and he was in Iraq for 15 months of that. But that is why I and
her inlaws will make sure she has plenty of visitors this summer
into the fall.

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement.
As far as your new e-mail address, for privacy concerns I think
the best Admin policy is to never divulge any 'members' hidden
email address without a court order. Even to long time well
known posters and even if you give an Admin permission to
divulge it.
You can use the 'PM' feature to forward your new address to any
'members' here that you wish to have it. Or 'members' here can
use the 'PM' feature to contact you to ask for your new e-mail
address.
If you want everyone who visits this site (Members & Guests) to
have access to your new e-mail address, I suggest you do the
following:
near the top of this page click on 'Profile',
then on the left column of the page click on 'Account Settings'
then put a check in the box 'Allow users to email me'
and finally, click on the 'Change profile' button at the lower
right of the page.

Which means I need to plan another trip to New Orleans. You need
to hang a sign outside the hotel door that says "dogstoothe
works here".
And keep the beer fridge/wine bar stocked.

I asked you guys to either contact the 'missing' members with
hidden e-mail addreses to tell them about worldXing's closing or
to send me their e-mail addresses and I'd do it for you. No one
contacted them or sent me their e-mail addresses so we did lose
a few potential members here.
This site, unlike worldcrossing, does have a "PM" feature that
allows a member to send a personal message to any other member
even those with 'hidden' e-mail addresses so there is no real
need for any Admin or Moderator to act as a go between for
relaying changes in e-mail addresses.

Man, that would be cool, to meet you guys. Had the chance to
meet Beerfan years ago but it all went haywire on my end. Iowa
was down here too, but we missed each other. Iowa, I know you
have an appetite for the high end wine and food stuffs, and the
restaurant here (they lease), Stella!, is considered one of the
top five in the city (no, dogstoothe only spends his money on
his many vices; eating at restaurants ain't one of 'em). Fury,
the music scene is happening down here (or so I'm told) but you
would probably know more about it than I do. Anyway, I'm at
Hotel Provincial (mostly graveyard shifts 11-7) -- 1024 Chartres
St., in the lower Quarter right up from the French Market
between St. Phillip and Ursulines Streets. The fridge is
STOCKED, Daddyios!
