Birmingham won 6-2, Edwards started, good pen work from
Remenowsky and Infante. Kuhn and Marrero led the charge.

Winston-Salem lost 14-7, Doyle with bad start. Up against the
"Rat", Mr Rasner who used to be a Sox. Also, ex-Illini WR Kyle
Hudson had a good game for the opposition.

Birmingham lost 7-3, Leesman pitched 6 shutout innings, Nathan

Winston-Salem won 3-2, nice start for Rienzo. Reed got win in
relief, Taylor Thompson the save. Mitchell with a big 2 run
single.

Kannapolis won 13-6. Petricka got hit a bit but went 6 good
innings. Trayce Thompson, we are going to like this kid. HBP to
lead off the game, comes back up in the 2nd and hits a 3 run
homer. He was 3-4 with the HBP. Drew Lee continues his hot
hitting since joining the club.

Trayce now has more HR's and is quickly catching up to the OPS
that bryce harper has in the same league...
Trayce is a better power hitting prospect then Bryce Harper
(that was for joey)

If you mean Mychal Thompson, the ex-NBA PF/C, then yes Trayce is
one of his sons.
BTW, Mychal Thompson is Bahamian, not puertorican. :)

I know it's spelled crazy like that, word corrector changed it.

**The Chicago White Sox promoted right-handed pitching prospect
Addison Reed from Low-A Kannapolis to High-A Winston-Salem,
where he threw two shutout innings of relief on April 23rd. He
now has 10 innings pitched combined at the two levels, giving up
four hits, one run, one walk, with 14 strikeouts. Drafted in the
third round out of San Diego State last year, Reed closed in
2009 but started last year in college. The Sox seem to think
he'll advanced more quickly as a reliever, due to outstanding
command of his low-90s fastball, slider, and curve. His arsenal
is diverse enough to start, but he throws harder when used in
the bullpen. Personally, I'd use him as a starter until he
proves he can't handle it, but he could reach the majors within
a year as a reliever.

The "other" pitcher we traded with Hudson to DBacks for Edwin
• Low Class A South Bend lefty David Holmberg (Diamondbacks)
struck out a career-high 12 batters in seven innings of work. He
allowed two runs (both unearned) on four hits and took the loss
because his Silver Hawks teammates scored only one run.
