"Something to post"
Pitcher Charlie Leesman, infielder Tyler Kuhn and outfielders
Jordan Danks, Brandon Short and Justin Greene are among the
players who would be eligible for the Rule 5 draft on Dec. 8 if
they're not placed on the 40-man roster by Nov. 18

Nice tagline BlackSox. Am wondering why no one has brought up
the AJ/beer topic here.

[size=14pt]Strong-armed Blanke impressing Sox
[size=12pt]Catching prospect takes chances but gets results
By Mark Gonzales, Chicago Tribune reporter - 6:40 p.m. CDT,
October 27, 2011
MESA, Ariz. — Knowing how painful it has been for White Sox fans
to watch opponents steal bases with great frequency, Michael
Blanke hopes to get an opportunity someday to put a stop to that
with an admittedly unorthodox style.
Blanke, 23, is trying to polish the rest of his defensive skills
in the Arizona Fall League while displaying a strong arm that
has caught the attention of Sox officials.

The Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Game is being shown live
right now on the MLB Network and mlb.com. It just started as
we're in the bottom of the 1st inning with no score. Only one
White Sox prospect is on the team, pitcher Terry Doyle.
rosters for both teams:

This club just kills me
We keep two kids protected from Rule V draft and we have about 4
more open slots on 40 man. We protect Deunte Heath (ok, he has a
good arm, but...) and Charlie Leesman, a good LHP with some
control problems.
We do not protect Terry Doyle, arguably our best minor league
pitcher and he just tore up the AFL, with sub 2.00 ERA, hardly
anyone does that. Sure, he throws 88 tops, but criminy, give him
a chance. Also unprotected was Kuhn, the hitting machine in AA.
He had a chance, seriously, he could be a decent player. We also
left Jordan Danks unprotected, but that is ok, he did have a
decent year in AAA and is our best defensive CFer in the org,
but that is ok.

If our minor league system is as crappy as everyone says, I
don't see the problem. These guys s&ck anyway.
I will be pissed if we lose Kuhn though. He was my guy out of
that draft. Can he really be any more s*cky than Beckham's been?

I bet if we put Kuhn at 2B next year we might even forget about
Beckham. He has not impressed me one bit yet.

I say, do it. Beckham has not shown much in a long time.
Pitchers adjusted to him and he hasn't been able to counter
them.

I'm still cutting Beckham some slack... he was mentored by Greg
Walker for cripes sake.
