       some outside force, such as the opening of cat food, or a nearby
       scurrying mouse.
       LAW OF CAT MOTION
       A cat will move in a straight line, unless there is a really
       good reason to change direction.
       FIRST LAW OF CAT ENERGY CONSERVATION
