Stockholm Syndrome

That's so odd...
The doctor wasn't about for this "I'm still super sorry I failed
you Breakfast" Nor was he about for Dinner either.
As usual she cleaned up the uneaten meal, and cleaned up about
the lair.
Infront of her bedroom's mirror, she gently wiped her face, a
clear bruise on her ear and side of her face;
One simply doesn't come from being thrown against a wall by a
powerful mobian and... well.. nearly live to tell the tale.
She coughed as well, wincing a bit as she looked in the mirror
again, and tilted her head, a sheepish smile from her small
lips,
Then tears welling into her eyes and a slight sniffle.
Another Wince.
"Ow..." she whispered, looking about quickly, as she walked over
towards her basin, to have water pour into a cup and a few
painkillers.
The general who was supposed to punish her...
Well he told her that she needed to see a doctor, and that these
should help the pain in her chest a little.
After that it seemed like he took off to do heaven knows what!
She shook her head, "I suppose I'll wait for Doctor Robotnik
then.." she whispered, another careful fidget, as she unclipped
her dress-like lab jacket and examined her chest again.
From that white fur, a discolored, unhealthy spot was peering
much more under her skin. It was showing even through her
undershirt.
She couldn't breathe deeply without much more pain, and many
more bouts of wheezing as she closed her jacket slowly.
It really did hurt to do anything...
But if the Swatbots, and the Badniks and the Swatniks didn't get
their daily diagnostic...
Well he'd be unhappy again.
The little clone made her way back towards the main control
room, as usual greeted the main computer, and with a soft,
pained squeak, greeted the rest of the base.
"G...good morning everyone! We have your diagnostics to do
before any needed updates! P...p..please stand..." She had to
stop.
She started to cough violently, as she held a hankerchief
against her mouth, then realized...
Well that she seemed to be bleeding.
"Oh dear..." she whispered.
"P...please stand by! I will visit e..each sector and begin
checks a..as necessary.. that i...is all!"

It took... well most of the day, but she finished all diagnostic
checks.
Only a few seemed to need repair!
Which was good!
With a satisfied, and tired smile she exited the last sector,
then slowly made her way towards the hangar Bay.
She stopped, her coughing got worse as the day passed;
Her handkerchief was spotted with dark brown splotches of of
blood.
"O...ok! N..now to find a doctor..." She murmured.
There was still no sign of Doctor Robotnik...
She was getting worried...
But she wouldn't be of any use to him if she kept coughing up
all of this blood!
"..J..just find a doctor, then come back and keep things
maintained!" She proclaimed, as she pulled out the personal
terminal for the base, as she typed up the command.
/DOCILE/ACTION/RUN_MODERATE.EXE.
[AUTO MAINTENANCE MODE RUNNING.]
"A...and when the Doctor gets back! Everything will be better
than he left it! He'll be so happy!!" She exclaimed, as she
gasped, and started to cough;
Rather violently this time.
She gripped the door of one of the many hover units in the
hangar bay, as she slowly made her way into it, as she managed
to activate it, and haggardly leave out of the Base.
A week old...
Only a week old and already doing so much...
A week old and perhaps not quite ready to try and venture out on
her own...
But she had to make sure the Doctor was happy! No matter what!

However, as the young mouse clone made her way to the exterior
of the large base......the air was filled with a gentle, but
noticeable rumble.
There was something of a dart in the sky. Far too high for the
current defenses....
.....and most certainly unusual in shape. It rumbled quietly
overhead, as if observing.
Watching.
The craft seemed to be scouting around, and given how foreign it
looked, it was no doubt from a faraway land. Its pilot was told
to investigate the location of a long-time foe. But....the base
looked dormant. Unattended. Like something had happened.
Normally, this would yield a report of 'nothing eventful, RTB'
as the response, but the sky-eye underneath the craft had picked
up something leaving from the base.
A robot? No. It looked too organic. And young.
....and injured! The female pilot's eyes stared quietly through
the viewfinder.
Without uttering a word, she began to descend, at full speed,
the roar becoming far greater.

She gasped, as she heard the roar of an unfamiliar machine.
"A..ah!" she shuddered.
"W...what is that..?!" She gasped, Starting to cough again as
she started to shuffle and look for the personal terminal.
"Ohnononono...!! W..we can't have any int...truders....!!" She
whimpered, starting to type out a form of shielding for the
base.

It wasn't long before the base defenses were met with a series
of well-placed missiles, tearing into the superstructure of the
base as the strange craft closed the distance between the
structures and its high-up position in seconds. The rumbling
buzz of a gatling cannon tore into the superstructure of the
base, tearing asunder whatever it could....
....but never once aiming at the girl. The craft's
strangely-built engines allowed it to move slowly as it circled
about, blowing apart whatever dared to respond to its presence
aggressively.
The craft shimmered....it was glowing? No craft before had that
much emerald light resonate from its airframe.
Soon, it touched down, once it was confirmed that all defenses
in the immediate area were obliterated, the canopy hissing open.

Her eyes widened, as she started to whimper frantically, ears
folded towards her skull.
Her mind was frantic as well...
Having the doctor angry with her was a definite No no!
Never again!
"No....nononono... P...Please stop!! I'm sorry!!" She called
out, wincing and starting to cough frantically.
...She was starting to feel faint...
Her heart was beating against her injured chest like it wanted
to pop out as she looked up towards the sky;
..Whatever that machine was...
It was pristine...
Beautiful even!
Never has she seen ANYTHING like that in the Doctor's library of
machines.
When the Craft touched down, she hid, starting to tremble, Not
only was the Doctor going to be cross..
..Unless she managed to fix it BEFORE he got back!
But she knew she couldn't take whatever was in that craft..

Out of the elegant, foreign-built jet fighter came a woman. She
looked around, noting no soldiers, no nothing. Just destruction
of a base that belonged to a filthy creature. Through her
helmet, her eyes were narrowed, surveying what she had done.
But then she heard that voice. A meek, mewling call for her to
stop.
She noticed that small, beaten up frame. She looked a LOT worse
than the first glance had implied! Quickly, the girl bounded off
her aircraft, making her way straight to the small mouse.
Saa could easily see the glowing stripes in her tail....
Latence made her way straight for the mouse, but the first thing
that came out of her mouth was nothing Saa could have ever seen
coming.
"I'm sorry you're so hurt! Are you okay?"

She continued to tremble, as she looked over towards her.
She was GLOWING just like her craft!?
How was that possible?
Oh she just HAD to know!!
But...
"Y..you're asking if I am... " Saa began, then smiled brightly,
"Y..yes! I...I just need to find a Doctor!!" She announced,
however stifled a cough,
"Do you know where I can f...find one perchance??"
She thought about it, a slight wheeze as she stifled another
cough, "A...and how do you g...glow like that??"

The girl wasted no time, and in but a moment, the little mouse
was hoisted up in the vixen's arms.
"Yes! We have doctors where I come from!" She nodded, carrying
her quickly to her craft.
Carefully, she made her way into the opened canopy, gently
sitting down, with the young, battered mouse in her lap.
"You're in terrible shape...! Please just hold on tight for a
little bit longer, okay..? I'm sorry to pluck you up so
suddenly, but we have the best doctors ever back home...! I'll
explain the glow when we get there, just please let yourself
rest!" She asked rather tensely, as the roar of her jet's
engines thundered to life. She turned the jet longways down the
open space of the base, and began to slowly accelerate down it.
This poor thing....she was in such terrible condition! Latence
wasn't going to let her suffer any longer! Especially given
where this little mouse came from!

She squealed as she was hoisted up, "Oh! That's great!
B..because I gotta get back down there as soon as possible!" She
chimed, looking back down towards the base.
"He could be back any day now.. o...or even tomorrow!"
She gasped, her hands to her mouth, then started to cough,
"B...but maybe not! I mean I won't say anything that the base
was attacked! I'm sure I can fix everything by then.."
She murmured, her eyes moving about the craft.
"This is lovely! How does this machine work!" she asked, tilting
her head, "I...I haven't seen anything like this!"
