In a silent answer to the hedgewolf, Lori thought, Yet even
though that pink hedgehog isn't dead exactly... her spirit may
have been drained nevertheless... But I still do not know why
Vesper had that Spirit Gem in the first place. Maybe the
Mist-locks gave it to her for something...
"I guess we are overthinking it... but Vesper had that thing for
a reason. I don't know what...but that gem is obviously
something of such importance that it was in her possession in
the first place," Lori said, carefully tying off the wound she
had been pressing against with the cloth, and saying more
quietly to Soul -whose name she now knew thanks to the female
phoenix-, "I think that'll hold for a while. I'll redress it
when we get back to Fleurette."

The metal shards continued to orbit the gem in a calm and
orderly rhythm, a low hum emitting from it even when the Hybrid
picked it up. An increasingly-warmth sensation was radiating
from it, until it slowly reached a rather hot tempertature - but
not enough to burn. Unpon closer inspection a small, white word
had been carved and shining a faint, white light from within the
core of the gem.
'Puissance.'
A powerful energy was certainly surging within the hollow gem,
which it causes the strange metal chunks to orbit freely around
it. Mobians with the ability to detect life - such as Soul can -
will find that no one or spirit resides within.

stance. "There certainly ist a power emanating from it," she
stated, her calm tone slowly returning, "perhaps that's what Le
Gerant was after." She gently put Darkenlight on his feet,
keeping an arm around him in case he needed support.[/font]

"Hm?" He feels the mineral getting warmer then it becomes hot in
palm of his hand but it somehow didnt cause him any pain. He
inpectcts it some more to notice a white light is emitting from
it as well as a specific word has appeared on the stone.
[Interesting..but why would it show me this specific wording
phrase?..just what kind of power does it possess?] he thought to
himself.
"I think you could be right..Lightanis I can feel all sorts of
energy coming from this gem..there is an encyrption on this
diamond" he shows it to his comrades.
"The word Puissance means two things..a competition made for a
horse to show thier jumping skills and the second meaning has to
do with power..im going to go with the latter" he goes back to
examine the mineral particulary the keyword. "Perhaps it is an
activation code to access this power?" he wondered.

At the hedgewolf's words, Lori muttered inadvertently,
"Weird..." But at a closer look, she too saw the strange
encryption, her eyes widening in awe as the gem glowed. I have
never seen any gem do that before... maybe it runs on Chaos
Energy? Or something else...this gem is confusing me!!, the
amber hedgehog thought, biting her lip in frustration as she
continued to study the gem. There must be something powering
that gem...but what must it be that of which was why the gem was
given to Vesper?

Growing tired of this shiny stones shenanigans Sonic grabs Ty's
pack and dunks the gem back into it hiding it away. He then
attaches the bag back to Ty's person. He then picked up TY once
again holding his arm around his shoulder. He speeds off towards
the city leaving the others in the dust to catch up as they were
headed home.
