Soon the voluptuous vampire vanished, and they were left with
nothing but a giant spider to deal with. Suddenly more tiny
spiders emerge from the hot lava and began to scamper towards
them. The cyan hedgehog assists the burly hybrid in keeping the
cluster of spiders away from the group by blasting them, however
he got bit by a few, he felt the burning sensation from their
fangs "Ow!..." and quickly swats but since they were made of
fire, the hedgehog's hand got scorched a bit.
"We need to get rid of this lava--" he said to the hedgewolf
"--but how?" he ask to himself then looks back at his allies, he
stares at the red echidna and his giant fists. "Hey Knuckles...I
need you to dig underground and re-direct this lava away from
us... think you can do it?" he asked the red echidna hoping
this plan to direct the lava away from them would work, though
concerned about his condition at the moment.

[font=times new roman]As soon as the tiny spiders started to
emerge, Lightanis' focus switched to them. "Brother, take out
the ones that have gotten out of the lava," Lightanis shouted to
Darkenlight, "ones that are already upon us Ty and the cyan
hedgehog can deal with." Her attention turned to Knuckles, "I
agree with the cyan hedgehog, you should attempt to redirect the
lava from underground." Lightanis then turned to Relic, Fixit,
and Lori, "You three should cover him from any attacking spiders
that get through." She made a few gestures so the pika might
understand. She looked at the black cat. "How good are your
jumping skills?" Lightanis asked as she stamped the spiders that
were near her.[/font]

to give out orders. The fiery arachnids were upon him already,
their bites stung from the brimstone but the fire didn't bother
him. He began to attack the ones just getting out of the lava
with his fists and feet, even grabbing them and biting off their
heads. He knew that he'd eventually need help but figured his
sister would also come to the front lines once she got her
answer. [/font]

He pulls back his left arm holding his ice sword to the side of
his body and performs a swift horizontail slash while dashing
forward quickly hoping to clear out a chunk of the seemingly
endless lava spiders. He listens to the cyan hedgehog think of a
plan involving the red hot echidna Knuckles digging underground
to re direct the lava flow. The golden shiny armored mobian
seems to have picked up on this idea as well and starts giving
out orders. "It sounds like you guys are up to something..but
dont forget..we also have the big boss to deal with" he glances
at the giant ferocius arachnid.
"Perhaps disabling its legs should slow it down" He continues
to cut and stab the lava spiders until he accidently bumps into
Darkenlight. "Oof! sorry about that" he quickly apologize and
shoots ice spears at the lava spiders.

shooting a glare at Ty as he regained balance. "How about you
fall back and get the ones that get passed me?" he snorted as he
continued his assault on the ones just getting out of the lava.
He wasn't one to accept apologies right away. "I can handle
things here until my elder sister gets her answer," he retorted
spitting out the head of a freshly killed spider. [/font]

Thousands of small lava spiders crawled out from the fiery pit.
R listened to the ideas being thrown around. The cyan hedgehog
had suggested the red echidna to dig a tunnel to redirect the
lava.
"Good idea…we'll have to see if it works,"she thought as she
sliced a few of the spiders.. "I hate insects…" She looked at
the golden-armoured phoenix. "My jumping skills?" R examined the
distance of the lava lake. "If you're hoping for me to jump
across, I might just make it but then going back, I'll probably
fall in." she admitted.

[font=times new roman]"Hmm we'll need to either draw it closer
or redirect the lava first," Lightanis stated as she stamped on
more of the spiders, "unless you can call your swords back to
you." She was doing what she did best, strategy and problem
solving.[/font]

The combined efforts of Ty and the dark phoenix thinned the
numbers pouring out of the lava. The cold slashes and bare
knuckle punches easily crushed the infant insects. The destroyer
advances forward passing through the lava. He splashes the wave
of hot magma towards them, and then dashes towards the party
using it's front pincer to slam down aimed towards Knuckles.
While the spider kept them busy a dark mist appears under Soul's
partner. The black mist rises and the fog forms into a solid to
reveal Vesper. She places her hand upon the pink Hedgehog's
shoulder and with a swift yank vanishes pulling her into the
darkness. Her haughty laugh was on the air as she had picked off
the first member of the group.

[font=times new roman]Lightanis got in front of Knuckles to at
least block the hit, crossing her arms and bracing for impact.
Out of the corner of her vision she saw the pink hedgehog get
taken into the darkness. "Everyone fall back, stick together!"
she shouted, "the she-devil is picking us off one by one!"
However, Lightanis had no intention on falling back with them.
As a knight of old, she preferred to die in battle whilst
defending those whom were with her.[/font]

"Redirect the lava?" Knuckles repeated, frowning. "It's worth a
shot-" He jumped back slightly, sensing Lightanis jump in front
of him. "Woah!" He grit his teeth. "Take your own advice,
Tweety!"
'I'm at a disadvantage here...' Knuckles admitted, listening to
the disjointed sounds of the fight. He blinked, an idea coming
to mind. 'Maybe this will make things easier...' Knuckles closed
his eyes, before focusing on his chaos radar. Misty colors,
predominantly green, appeared in his vision, faint but still
more than he'd been able to see moments before. Most noticeable
was a bright green point of light where Fixit was hovering, and
a dim red outline along what he assumed was the lava.
"Perfect," Knuckles murmured, smiling slightly, before turning
his attention to the others. "I'll see what I can do about this
lava- the rest of you, don't die!" With that, he drilled into
the ground, disappearing under the earth within moments. Even
underground, the chaos energy was clearly visible, allowing him
to see faintly where the lava was. He dug past the molten earth,
close enough that it would easily burn through the thin layer of
rock moments after he had dug past it, and burst through the
other side, closer to one of the fields surrounding the farm. If
he had judged the tunnel right, the lava should have burst
through the wall, with the pressure forcing it through the
tunnel and away from the others. If it didn't, he supposed he
would just have to make another sweep.
