Part II (c): Monster Within

The group soon arrived in what appeared to be an abandoned farm
not too far from Mobotropolis. In fact, it looked like an utter
wasteland. The ground was dry, brown and void of any nuitrients,
the house was dilapidated and - of course - broken into so it
was an utter mess. The barn was falling apart and it's coats of
paint were peeling off; it's doors wide open. It was cold.
What could Le Gerant possibly want from here?

The barn doors bust off the hinges on a dark wind as the dead
and lifeless land around them bears it's mistress. Suddenly a
grey pale Vampire bat in a long black gown walks out from the
dark corners of the barn. Her high heels clack and her crimson
hair dances on the dead breeze. She was easily to many the very
depiction of perfection in beauty. This woman walked towards the
approaching group and her soft lips cracked into a sly
smile.Then she ran her treacherous tongue over them. Counting
the many victims before she was upset the ones of fire and ice
weren't among them. She gave a disappointed frown and elegantly
lifted her left hand out infront of her. As she spoke her sexy
and seductive voice rang in the ears of all
present.[shadow=red,left] "This is where your path halts I'm
afraid. You've reached a dead end. All of this is a ploy to pick
off the how shall I put this. Unimportant members of your little
quest. I couldn't pass up the opportunity the odd performers
offered me to play a part in this divine play."[/shadow] She
flapped her wings once and now hovered hover the ground her dark
dress flowing behind her like a shadow. [shadow=red,left]"I am
Lady Vesper the single most powerful vampire on this mortal
coil. I am the mistress of the mind and I always get what I
want, and what I want is your blood. I am so hungry....famished
even."[/shadow] She raised her hand as black magical swirls form
around the dainty wrist. As she raised her hand into the air
eight hard rock spires shoot from the ground. The hard
formations rip the ground apart revealing to be eight monstrous
legs. As the legs clawed upwards it was revealed they belonged
to a massive molten insect,that seemed to be a giant arachnid
formed from solid rock and lava. The massive fiery demon gave a
deafening roar as it's fangs were bearing red hot spewing fire.
Vesper simply smiled floating above it.[shadow=red,left] "This
is the destroyer of Ardor. He has severed me for thousands of
years and has brought death to countless would be heroes.
Mmmmhahahehe."[/shadow] She gave a satisfied laugh then snapped
her fingers and the destroyer spewed lava forth creating a
rather large gap between it's prey and itself.

The two hedgehogs followed the group, in order to find out some
information that might help them put an end to Le Gerant's plan.
Upon arriving at the area the cyan hedgehog gazed his eyes on
the barren wasteland. As the cold winds blew the cyan hedgehog's
spine shivered from top to bottom and looking at the view the
hedgehog thought there was no life in this land, unfortunately
he was wrong when a voluptuous figure appears infront of them.
After the figure had introduced herself, the cyan hedgehog
sensed a strong dark presence from the lady, the same presence
he felt when he confronted the voodoo girl, which he did not
like. "Tsk...well bad news lady...this food is not good to go"
he said to Vesper and readied his stance. Suddenly eight
monstrous legs rose from the ground and soon formed a giant
arachnid made from molten lava and rocks, as the arachnid spewed
lava, he grabbed Sakura and leaped back away from them. "It's
dangerous there...so stay back" he said to the pink hedgehog.

The feline advanced onward with the group to the appointed
destination. The place was but a wasteland. The ground was
cracked from dryness and the buildings looked as if they were
going to fall apart any minute. Which by the looks of it, was
probably going to happen quite soon because a dark winged bat
approached them. She was elegant yet clearly, dangerous. She
flew up.
Suddenly, as the eight legged arachnid burst out from the depts
of the ground, R jumped back instinctively. The creature was
made entirely from rock and fiery lava. She flinched as the
monster let out a huge roar. A sort of lake of lava was spewed
out from the creature, creating a large gap between the group
and them. R equipped her double blades that resembled devil's
horns. The hilt was pitch black, the pommel was a dark green
diamond and the guard was shaped as wings. The blade was jagged
at one end and the other, was smooth but sharp. When two of the
blades meet together, they would connect to make one sword.
R glanced at the others, waiting to see what they would do. At a
time like this, teamwork was important...much to R's displease.

Darkenlight walked slightly ahead of the group, not wishing to
be near them. The only reason he had agreed to come with was
his strong wish to destroy Le Gerant's plans and perhaps rip him
to shreds. He felt as if the energy of this wasteland was
diminishing, like something was sucking it as dry as the ground
that he walked upon. The cold wind didn't bother him much as it
blew through his feathers and fur. A stench of death came on
the breeze, this caused Darkenlight to stop and close his eyes.
His ears perked up and swiveled around before turning to the
barn. "There's someone there..." Darkenlight went to say as the
pale mistress came out of the barn, its doors flying off. He
backed up and got into a defensive position, wings open as
embers danced around the feathers. "My path halts when I say
so, demon witch!" he exclaimed as he felt a rise in ancient
energy. Darkenlight smirked, thinking he could draw off it. As
he was about to tap into it, the giant lava rock demon spider
rose up. He was quick enough to shut his energy connection
before it was too late for him to turn back. Although
unbeknownst to him, a tiny bit got into him. Darkenlight let
out a shriek after the destroyer let out a roar, being sure to
avoid the lava that came out soon after.

Lightanis stayed closer to the group but kept watch on her
brother. She too felt the lifelessness of this place; it was
unsettling. She took note of the cold wind but it didn't bother
her. Lightanis halted immediately as she saw Darkenlight stop
suddenly and use his Aura Sight. It wasn't long before she knew
what he sensed or rather whom. Instinctively, she reached for
her swords as the pale woman made her appearance. Upon not
feeling them, she remembered her defeat a few moons ago. She
was silent as the woman spoke, painfully opening her wings in a
defensive manner. Drink my blood, she-devil, she thought, and
you shall burn in the depths of the Nether Realm. Lightanis
then sensed the rise in ancient energy too but was wise enough
not to tap into it. Once the lava rock demon arachnid appeared,
she started to calculate the best way to take it down. Her
focus went to Vesper then to the joints of the arachnid's legs.
"Taking out the joints would be the best probable tactic," she
said to herself, "if I had my swords and was able to fly it
wouldn't be hard to do....but....hmmm." Her eyes drifted to the
cat with swords. "This might just work but how to get over the
lava lake...." she continued in thought.

Lori also complied to the splitting of the groups; luckily, this
abandoned barn and house sort of felt familiar to her. She
always passed that sort of stuff whenever she traveled back and
forth to Mobotropolis. But never houses broken into so
violently. The hedgehog felt tense as they approached the barn,
and as soon as a random lava spider -something she'd consider
creepy, not to mention dangerous- as well as a pale woman came
out of the barn, she held her combat knife -she retrieved it
after they were spilt up- in a battle stance.
Hearing the woman's threat, a strange battle-like growl came
from the brown-and-amber hedgehog after the spider creature
spewed lava at the whole group. Jumping back unharmed, Lori kept
her battle stance. "Now you made me mad, lady. What do you
want?" the hedgehog said in a serious and angered tone to the
unknown woman. Her eyes were narrowed as she stared at said
woman with a tone of 'go the heck away or else' in her irises.

"You freeze it" A voice called out from out of nowhere answering
Lightanises question. Next a huge stream of ice struck against
the pit of lava in hopes of putting it out or at least make it
into cool hard rocks for the group to cross over to deal with
the eight legged menace. The all too familer hedgewolf arrives
to the scene appraching next the group and examinies the lava
spider monster noting that it looks as gruesome as its ever
gonna be.
His fierce looking eyes are now directed towards the vampire
mistress wondering if she has seen her somewhere before. "You
look familiar..have we met?" he raises an eye brow observing her
closely until the thought came to him. "Wait..now I
remember..you were the lady that told me your jewels were stolen
a long time ago..so tell me..did you ever get them back?..I take
it by summoning this beast..I would have to say no" he said with
his arms crossed with his tail swaying refering to thier last
encounter.

Vesper smiles and points at her demonic knight roars and
hundreds of tiny lava spiders scurry forward emerging from the
river of magma.[shadow=red,left] "Hell you have arrived at the
gates of hell and I am the devil."[/shadow] As she raised her
hands the tiny spiders scurry towards the group and begin to
scurry up their legs their tiny bites filled with fire and
brimstone. Vesper herself vanished into darkness leaving the
spiders to keep them distracted while she worked.

The hybrids eyes widen then quiickly forms up a single katanna
sword made from ice then jumps back a good distance to observe
the massive arm of tiny spiders being emerged from the lava. OF
course he should have expected a tatical retreat from the
temptress giving how most villians runs away when they are
outnumbered.
"Typical" he muttered to himself then he begins to take a
defensive stance and swings his blade a couple of times hoping
to cut some of the spiders to allow him and his allies some
breathing room. "These spiders make tarantulas look like babies
in comparasion" he noted thier huge and ugly appearance as he
keeps swinging.
