"Well that was-"
"-timed well."
In the most remote part of the city, Genevieve and Jerome and
dispersed their disguises as soon as they reached their
location. Just as promised, they requested for the Second Place
Winner to meet with them at Goldenacorn Street precisely in one
hour after one of Jerome's hooded figures had delivered the
message. The pair looked very well dressed, particularly
Genevieve whom was wearing a gorgeous and expensive-looking
dress of today's biggest trend in fashion. Jerome, wore a plain
but well tailored suit. The two stood in the side of the
abandoned street, waiting for them to arrive.
"Do you think he will-"
"-bring his dear mother? I certainly-"
"-hope so."
One asked the other, despite finishing the sentence of his
answer.

Unfortunately the downside to the Trickster Art of Shadow
Sneak...
The vanishing act could only move about to and fro, one place to
another.
Even worse as he always stalled for a few seconds, he stopped
and glanced at his phone.
Nope. Not even a text from Akiko since the time before the
festival. "Hmm.." He murmured, as he glanced at the time.
...He looked around, taking note that for starters...
It's been about an hour...
A second that street he had to meet those carnies would be about
here.
"Hang on a moment, Okaasama. I actually feel a bit winded~" He
lied, a faked whine to humor her motherly nature.
"It's alright~ I can take over from here." She gently chimed.
"Oh no I wouldn't want you to overexert yourself... Especially
when we don't know if Otousama is about. Who else but he can
handle that little... issue of yours..."
"...Point taken..." She sighed, a slight blush to her face as
she frowned, following to the side of her Stepson, as he picked
out a card and walked until he fell upon two overly dressed
Mobians.
...Two overly dressed Mobians that fu'cked over the entire
city...
Two overly dressed Mobians that were basically still Carnies to
him no matter what he thought.
"Ehehehehehehe!" He snickered, "I can't believe you two are
still here! I mean I would've lingered to see my good work too
but yanno~" He grinned, then rolled his eyes, "So about that
Prize of mine? And how much are we talking?"

Junko on the other hand..
Half realizing what her Step son was up to, simply sighed.
However kept quiet.
She kept a curt frown, wanting to question quite a bit.
She breathed deeply as she kept to a rather neutral expression,
one hand resting on her cane, The other slowly slipping two
fingers into her Obi sash.
She noted her Son's hands where in his pockets as well.

Genevieve kept her ears pointed towards Discord, as did Jerome's
eyes lingered upon Junko. The pair were on edge, especially
after the stunt they had just pulled. Though for now, they were
grateful that no weapons were suddenly drawn out... still, one -
or two - cannot be too careful. When they spoke, the bravado act
they had put on during their announcements was long gone,
sounding very a-matter-of-fact as they got straight into it.
"Indeed there is a prize-" Genevieve began.
"-a rather important prize-" Jerome continued.
"-for the both of you."
"We have a business proposition of sorts-"
"-to offer the both of you."
"Which is part of the reason-"
"-why everything you own-"
"-everyone you hold dear-"
"-have remained untouched."
"Unless of course-"
"-you have had any male associates-"
"-whom have wondered far, far away-"
"-from your residence-"
"-and other places belonging to you."
The two then eyed Junko together, "It would also be-"
"-foolish to disrespect-"
"- a lady with more wisdom gained-"
"-over the years than us." they added in unison.
"We have heard whispers about-"
"-a family business-"
"-a business of sorts-"
"-that cannot be simply advertised-"
"-for the public."
"We are interested-"
"-to make an inquiry-"
"-from the both of you about it."

The Mongrel had his fingers looped around a pair of kunai in one
pocket...
And the other with quite a few ball bearings in the other.
He couldn't help but grin, "I'm interested... But do the two of
you REALLY need to talk like that? You know how creepy that
sounds, ne?" He remarked, "And this is coming from someone whose
middle name should be Creepy!"
He looked over to his Step Mother.

Junko's eyes widened for moments, as she let out another deep
breath.
Her tails swaying and swirling in anger.
"...What has Happened to Gang, Brutus and Rong? Are they as
injured as many a man in this City" She asked, her voice still
just as serene as it could be.
She tilted her head.
As she listened she breathed deeply, at least her family would
be safe.
"How Curious~!" She exclaimed, a smile on her face, "I suppose
my Country's little secret... would be found out, ne?"
She tilted her head again, her own mischievious smile as her
eyes narrowed, that gentle voice turning curt and sharp. "I am
afraid. I may be a Lady of Tricks and Riddles... but if you know
that much about my Family, And Myself... Perhaps we shall get
down to business and get to the point."
But her eyes widened.
The two songbirds she used to house...
"...And Maeri-san and Keillah-chan? Have they been taken as
well?" She asked.

Fur and feathers bristled along the backs of the necks of the
couple upon hearing Junko's sharp tone. Genevieve's ears
twitched as her eyes turned black and a similar invisible vail
encased the four of them. Anyone was free to move about, exit
and enter the veil as they pleased; but along with the warm
feeling washing over the bodies their voices fell short in front
of them when they spoke. The veil was sound proof, but did not
block anyone sense of hearing within; to ensure that no one
outside could hear them. They stiffened, side-glanced each other
before continuing.
"Our manner of speaking-"
"-is not by choice."
"So yes we must speak like this-"
"-if you could be so kind to-"
"-have patience for this."
"From you, Discord-"
"-a Mobian of rather... specialised talents-"
"-from what we have seen-"
"-and heard-"
"-none but for a select few have taken-"
"-you down. To which we require the-"
"-assistance of hiring a body guard of your callibur-"
"-to guard four individuals."
"You see, our little performance-"
"-is only The Opening Act."
"These individuals are so important-"
"-that Le Gerant insists on a very generous offer-"
"-perhaps an offer than cannot be refused?"
Jerome snapped his fingers and his partner mimicked the same
thing like she always did. Four gray, hooded figures appeared
suddenly beside them in puffs of black smoke. Each one holding a
card.
"Each card adds up to your entire payment-"
"-divided amongst the four important figures-"
"-should anyone get seriously injured-"
"-or lose their lives during the next-"
"-performance. The quarter of the payment-"
"-will be void."
"Those four cards should be pre-loaded-"
"-with a total of Four-Point-Two-Quintillion Rings."
The two then turned to Junko, "We are exceptionally observant-"
"-for many, many years-"
"-acquiring such information-"
"-was no easy task-"
"-nor without repercussions."
The pair blinked at the same time.
"Ahh the three gentlemen whom-"
"-follow you around?"
"They are perfectly unharmed."
"Though the biggest one gave us-"
"-quite the scare-"
"-he needed to have a bit of a rest-"
"-so that we may stay on schedule-"
"-but rest assured he has no lasting injuries."
They smiled.
"The ones known as Maeri and Keillah-"
"-are currently speaking with our Honored Guests."
The two cleared their throats and continued,
"Mrs Soyagouka, we are in need of some-"
"-resources that cannot be simply found in the city."
"Have you heard of the metal ore-"
"-known as Irracirrillium?"
"Have access to it?"
"Or at least know of some contacts-"
"-to help us acquire it?"
"We already have an agent beginning the search-"
"-for such a difficult-to-acquire-"
"-and dangerous substance-"
"-we believe that she has the known locations for some of the
mines-"
"-but we are after as much of it as possible."

The mongrel seemed to think more with his deep pockets, as his
tail wagged eagerly.
"Holy SH'IT that is a lot of money!" He cackled loudly. looking
about the odd veil they were in.
He looked at all figures.
"Not all that great at a bodyguard... But if you are gonna be so
sweet on the Rings~! Then I guess I gotta make sure no one
dies~" He sneered, "Do I have any limits for this gig by the
way?"

The one stayed in place. Her eyes focused, ever alert.
Her face that once held such a sweet natured face kept
emotionless... perhaps far more stoic.
Her tails seemed to relax at such news of how the Seiji's
Beloved and her sister were safe...
As well as her men.
She couldn't help but give a slight smile, "I would expect
nothing less from a Man who was a Royal Guardsmen."
The smile disappeared as she listened to their offer to her.
Seiji's offer was his all his own.
Junko was happy to pry and intervene into his personal life...
But business was business. He was used as an enforcer in the
Family, and Bodyguard work would no doubt give him a good
challenge to restrain himself for once.
"Irracirrillium...?" She pondered,
"Not exactly something that is easy to find. But not hard to
find either. If you have the willpower to seek it out, the
resources... as you have deducted my family has... and the Man
power."
She pulled out a Fan from her obi, just to open it and gently
fan herself.
"...I would be happy to offer my Family's network to a potential
customer." She said simply.
"Keep in mind however..." She remarked, her eyes glowing a faint
red, "My husband might Rule our little empire... but you cannot
trick an old trickster. Any betrayal towards my family, My men..
and My husband... And it will be me, who will be dealing with
the lot of you. This is no threat, please understand."

They first addressed Discord, "Two of the Mobians you will-"
"-be guarding will be ladies-"
"-the only limit-"
"-is to not hassle them too much." they finalised, remembering
his behaviour at the bar with a glowing fox.
The couple then turned to the elder vixen; whom almost flinched
when she suddenly drew out her fan before relaxing a little
again. Sure, Genevieve and Jerome were a part of a scheme to rob
cities across the world blind, but they were still dealing with
dangerous and very able Mobians.
"Oh of course Mrs Soyagouka-"
"-we definitely understand-"
"as mentioned earlier it would be-"
"-foolish to cross with a lady-"
"-with greater wisdom gained over-"
"-the years."
"Question is,"
"what is the cost?"
"How long will it approximately take?"
"Are there any particular-"
"-procedures about how you go about your tasks-"
"-that we need to know about?"
"Etcetera. "
"Etcetera. "
