"Come on tough guy, if you're so good you'll be able to catch
up! Give me a challenge!" she shouted back at him, not
saying it in a mocking tone, but serious, as she gained more and
more ground with each passing second. She actually wanted him to
provide a challenge. She saw him get up from a distance and
begin to catch up. "That's right boyo, give me a challenge.
Make me enjoy the rest of this." she thought as both moved
into the final lap.

Having finally overcome the pain, Ajax started off again,
overloading the neural lace again to boost himself forward; he
was not about to lose without a fight. He closed the distance as
fast as he could, cutting the corners to the point that he was
nearly completely sideways. "You are not finished with me, nor I
with you..."

"Right on boyo. Challenge Accepted." she said again
unsure if he could hear from the current distance separation.
She could see the finish line in the distance at this point.
"Come on come on boyo. If you're as good as you say you'll
have a last minute trick or something." she said, again
unsure if he could hear.

There were no tricks; Ajax simply kept his pace, slowly but
surely gaining ground and closing the distance more. He wondered
if he'd have enough time, as the race was almost over. Still, he
was going to try, and at the end of it all he was still going to
pummel her for smacking his face with the wide end of her rifle.
"Just a little more," he told himself, "Just a little more..."

Ajax's attempt to catch up was good but it was too little too
late as Fem skated across the finish line, grinning like a
maniac she did a few spins before flipping herself up onto a
nearby small building expecting to be attacked. "Solid effort
boyo but as always the girls take the victory." she pointed
out gleefully. "I'll take back what I said though about you
being completely stupid. You gave me a tough run. Much better
than I'd normally expect from a guy." she told him. Though
being kind to him she was still expecting him to try to attack
her and had an ace up her sleeve should it happen.

As Ajax crossed the finish line a mere few seconds after
Madness, he skidded to a stop and simply looked at her angrily
while she gloated. "Yeah yeah, says the one who smashed me in
the face with their rifle; maybe you should show a little
courtesy towards your veterans." Still, the comment was enough
to make him not want to kill her, so he simply lifted is foot
and pushed her backwards a little with a blast from his grav
shoes. "Now, give me my damn blade back; you don't want to know
how much those things cost."

"Cute." she said to him blasting her back slightly. The
blast didn't push her anywhere near to the edge of the building
thankfully. "Just give me an address to have it delivered
to." she told him. "Don't ask questions, don't start an
argument, just tell me where to send it to and from one figure
of authority to another I promise i'll have it sent out."
she firmly said, she seemed like she was trying to be serious,
and honest. "How do you know you can trust me? Because the
people I protect despise liars and if I lied i'd get found
out." she pointed out. "My job is to me like that blade
is to you. Like for like, right?" she pointed out thinking a
'like for like' comparison would get the message through.
(oh and by the way Ajax. TETRIS. pffffffffhaaaaaaaah. XD
Seriously though you're a good challenge on that game dude.)

Ajax smiled a little; hard headed, but she had some manners
hidden under there. "Fair enough, then; have it sent to the
Aukuras Tower in Miana." As he fired up his grav shoes he let
out a chuckle. "Maybe sometime we'll have a rematch, on a real
track."

"You got what I woulda given any other male there and came
out smiling. You're definitely a cut above what I was expecting
with how lacking you seemed through the scope tough guy."
she couldn't help but add a cheesy line to the end of this given
how things had ended. Maybe it was her poking how they started
out and how they'd come a distance since that, or maybe she just
wanted him to remember her by something. She probably wouldn't
admit to either if asked. "Now if there's nothing else, I
have a massage in an hour." she finalised before skating off
in the direction of Mobotropolis' South exit.

"Heh... Just like the women in the Sentinels..." Ajax shook his
head, half glad to see her gone, but somewhat disappointed at
the same time; she reminded him of days long past. Still, he
hoped she'd keep to her word. "I guess there's no way to know
unless I get it back..."
