'The Ride of our Lives' Mini-Arc

Alright guys. So it's became pretty obvious that the idea of
doing a mini-arc during the two weeks before 'la Brume
magnifique' brings his show to town has become a wanted one, the
consensus has come to doing one based around the first game in
the 'sonic riders' series. I have asked and nobody seems to mind
me running this mini-hoohah. I've thought it through and here's
what I have.
[B][I]Wes Weasley starts selling the air boards to different
characters and the air boarding catches on as a fun thing to do
thanks to Wes' selling tactics involving a spire of hypnovision.
Both as a pastime and as a way of settling bets and disputes. A
mysterious entity decides to cash in on this and set it up into
a giant competition to see who air boards the best out of
everyone. But as always, there's evil abound. Think about it,
what kind of evil could be exploited while all of the heroes are
preoccupied with this competition?[/I][/B]
A few pointers.
The events of this occur after 'Robotnik Rises'. Three reasons.
It makes sense in storyline (1) it means people aren't rushing
their threads to a finish in time for this (2) it seems like a
popular choice (3).
What happens and who leads a race will be determined by the dice
used by Sonic in the Celestia mini-arc, seeing as Sonic has said
that only Admins and Mods can roll dice I'm hoping Sonic and V
are up for helping. V's confirmed she doesn't mind.
Your scored numbers on the dice determine your speed/distance.
If two racers are level the racers have an opportunity to hit
the other racer(s) costing them their next turn. Dice will
decide who is hit and who is unscathed.
Races are default of [B]three[/B] laps unless all parties (IC
and OOC) agree to a different number of laps. I'd like proof of
agreement to help keep track of goings on.
Everyone knows there is the potential of being too early and
zapped at the starting gate. Dice will call this. Seeing as the
dice is 20 big, anyone scoring higher than 15 at the start will
be at the gate too early and gain a 'bad' start which will 66%
cut their first roll. A 15 is a 'perfect' start, 0% penalty on
first dice roll. Your first roll will be fractioned slightly
depending on your 'out of the gate time'.
1 - 7 = Good, first roll loses 25% (in decimal scenarios use
common rule, round up for .5 and over, round down for below.)
8 - 14 = Brilliant, first roll loses 15%
Each lap is 20 points large, first to 60, (on a 3 lap race)
wins. I'll keep track of the progress post by post. If two or
more hit the line at the same time the winner is whoever was
furthest in the last roll.
You are more than welcome to have your character act as a board
mechanic if they have such skills. Madness (Fem) will be one
such character.
Madness/Fem will be in a race or two, however I will try my
hardest to keep the dish fair. If I screw up just tell myself,
Sonic or V and if I can fix the mess I will do so.
My reply times will be approximately between 4am and 5pm
California time (midday and 1am my time), if you need to compare
your time to mine, ask myself or V for UK time and just compare
it to your own. [B]This case differs on Tuesdays however[/B] in
which I will only be available between 8am (4pm UK) and 4pm
(midnight UK)
Seeing as Air Boards, Air Skates / Boots or Air Bikes were
available in the original 'Sonic Riders' you are free to use any
of these. (Thanks to Syruchi for raising this question.)

departure as this mini-arc is supposed to be for during her
absence.[/B][/s] When I get a moment on Friday 26th. (The 26th
is my birthday funnily enough so I figure i'll end up with
little done that day. Plus it'll be verging on the 27th in
Australia by the time I get it moving.)
Let's dust off the goggles, grab some boards (courtesy of Handy
Dandy Supervillain Appliance Distributors Limited) and do
something that won't make us 'board'.
